Please urge the Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce and Justice to restore appropriated funding of $12 million for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program for children (CASA). Tell the subcommittee of your support, and include the CASA program on your appropriations programmatic request list. CASA saves lives—The program has achieved unprecedented success in breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect, and offering our most vulnerable children hope of a safe, loving, permanent home. CASA saves billions in taxpayer dollars—Every dollar spent on CASA yields $23 in savings in the foster care and family court systems. CASA is good policy—It is the model of an outstanding public/private partnership. A nonprofit organization, backed by the Department of Justice, and fueled by 75,000 volunteer child advocates. The need is urgent—With current resources we only reach 240,000 of the nearly 660,000 children in foster care. The proposed budget cut would devastate our ability to reach even the small fraction we do today. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. 4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. 5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%. 6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

We, the members of Glensford, Lottsford, Legend Glen, and other surrounding communities, oppose the proposed Super Walmart at Duvall Village Center. We believe that a Super Walmart would have an overwhelmingly negative impact upon our, peaceful, suburban neighborhood.

It's cruel and unusual punishment to the beneficiary of the deceased's loved ones to withhold payment from 2 to 3 weeks of a life insurance policy payout. When your husband dies and you have no other source to pay funeral expenses, etc., and the funeral director calls the verified insurance company, only to hear it will take 2 weeks for payment to be sent, it is an extraordinary shock to the family. What are they supposed to do? Laws should be passed to ensure a 3 day deadline to pay the beneficiary.

The population that you target with draconian budget cuts, have severe and mostly multiple disabilities. Those cuts create unsafe and unethical life conditions especially since you have to protect the rights of all Florida citizens and not only the wealthy population. If there is $$ to cut FL corporate tax, than you have no excuse to keep the 12/9/11 approved budget. We need you to reinstall Adult Day Training as a core service. We cannot accept the budget cuts that you approved on 12/9/11. Stop cutting vulnerable disabled citizens!!!

Pass a bill NOW stating every taxpayer age 18 and over should receive $2000 a month of basic Income for the next 12 straight months starting July 2020. Every child 17 and under should receive $500 a month basic income for the next 12 straight months starting in July 2020. No immigration, child support, debt collectors' stipulations, meaning immigrants WILL receive this money, men and women who owe child support WILL receive this money, and debt collectors WILL NOT take any persons money. This is TAX FREE to all American taxpayers!
