To: Mark Walter, Owner & Chairman of the Los Angeles Dodgers and CEO of Guggenheim Partners // Dueño y Presidente de los Dodgers y CEO de Guggenheim Partners

We ♥️ the LA Dodgers! We don’t love ICE! ¡Amamos a los Dodgers! ¡Ni un dólar mas para ICE!

Mark Walter: Sell your company's stake in ICE jails and deportation flights!

Mark Walter: ¡Venda sus acciones en las cárceles y vuelos de deportación de ICE!

Why is this important?

LA loves the Dodgers!

With the World Series headed to the City of Angels, we need to make sure the Dodgers' owner, Mark Walter, loves ALL Angelenos back. 40% of Dodger fans are Latino - the fans pay for seats, for concessions, for gear to show our love for our city and our team.

We want what Mr. Walter wants - to go all the way! What we don’t want is for Mr. Walter to have anything to do with masked agents kidnapping our families and neighbors off the street. Dodgers and ICE don’t mix.

In addition to owning the LA Dodgers, Mark Walter is CEO of Guggenheim Partners, a huge corporation that invests more than $345 billion for other big corporations, wealthy individuals, and pension funds.

Guggenheim Partners invests in GEO Group, one of the largest operators of ICE jails. A GEO Group subsidiary, GTI, is ICE’s largest transportation provider, projecting that deportation flights will generate $40 to $50 million in new revenue.

There’s really no need to. On the MLB website Mark Walter is called “an investor, conservationist, and social-justice advocate.” Mark, stand with your loyal fans and drop GEO Group!

Go Blue!

¡L.A. ama a Los Doyers!

¡Vamos Dodgers!  ¡Exigimos que Mark corte con el GEO Group!
¡ALTO al apoyo a ICE!

The LA Times reported this week: "[A]s the last of the money flowed to immigrant families in need in late August, another petition circulated that demanded Dodgers owner Mark Walter sell his “company’s stake in ICE jails and deportation flights. ”Walter’s massive investment firm, Guggenheim Partners, owned more than a million shares of GEO Group, valued at nearly $12 million. By the end of 2025, Guggenheim’s interest in GEO Group had fallen to around 10,000 shares. And by the end of March of this year, Guggenheim no longer owned any shares of the prison company that also assisted in the deportation of immigrants, according to SEC filings reviewed by The Times."

We won! Dodgers owner dumped ICE!

The Los Angeles Times broke the story on Wednesday: "Dodgers fulfill $1-million pledge in response to ICE raids, owners divest from prison group" https://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/story/2026-06-24/dodgers-fulfill-1-million-pledge-in-response-to-ice-raids

ABC7 Eyewitness News aired a story on TV last night: https://abc7.com/post/dodgers-fulfill-1-million-pledge-support-families-immigrants-impacted-los-angeles-ice-raids-report-says/19381152/

This is getting around fast! Thank you for signing and sharing! I just wrote this to a friend... I'm really trying to see if we can reach 100 signatures by Friday morning (like 9 am?) at which point I'll feel solid about emailing reporters who are going to be spending the day writing their content for the start of the World Series. I think it's timely for smart and tuned in reporters to look back on the buzz about the Dodgers' engagement around the escalation of the ICE raids in June and ask what now are Dodgers fans who are hurt and exhausted by the masked kidnappings feeling about loving the team when it's not clear if the Front Office fully loves us back. I think our moment is Friday & Saturday as the World Series kicks off and all eyes are here.
So I'd love it if you'd text it/share it on your FB/anywhere to your fellow Dodger friends to see what they think ❤️ Go Dodgers!
