Simply stated, Mr. Koch has multiple conflicts of interests with WGBH and WGBH's education, advocacy and public service missions. "David Koch’s resignation as a WNET Trustee, coupled with telling quotes from WNET president Neal Shapiro and other sources, makes it clear that Koch had too much influence at the decreasingly-public TV station in New York.", according to an article published by Greenpeace on May 24, 2013 on Change.org. The article goes on to say that "Mr. Koch was floating a seven-figure donation over WNET’s leadership as the station aired a movie that portrayed him as a particularly greedy Manhattan resident." Finally, the article notes that "Sure enough, WNET didn’t wind up receiving David Koch’s hefty donation." This is DECIDEDLY NOT the kind of "CORPORATE LEADERSHIP" that we need on WGBH, Boston's beloved flagship station.

 On September 24, the Haitian Bridge Alliance filed a criminal complaint against Donald J. Trump and JD Vance for inducing panic, making false alarms, and disrupting public services. On January 24, Alex Jeffrey Pretti was shot and killed in broad daylight at the hands of Donald Trump’s ICE agents. In Minnesota and cities all over the country, we’ve seen these heavily armed, unidentified, and untrained federal agents pointing their guns at peaceful protesters & legal observers, wrongfully detaining U.S. citizens & legal residents, and disappearing our neighbors without due process.  ICE agents are operating with zero oversight. We’ve witnessed countless acts of senseless violence from these out-of-control agents in the first year of Trump’s second term, and it’s only getting worse. We’re calling on Congress to stop funding ICE’s violence and rein in their terror by requiring immediate oversight and accountability. More funding means more brutality, more family separations, and more deaths at the hands of these rogue agents. It’s time to get ICE out of our communities.

The Governor of California has declared a State of Emergency, after an uncontrolled gas leak at SoCalGas's Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility in a Los Angeles neighborhood. This has been spewing out over 50 tons of potent methane gas per hour. I am very disappointed that The Obama Administration has failed to provide any resources to the State of California, or even make a statement. Methane is the most potent greenhouse gas and once it enters into the atmosphere, it takes about 12 years to break down. This is the LARGEST gas leak in history and the gas company is estimating another two months until they can stop the leak. I look forward to your agency sending California the resources they need as soon as possible.
