Soft open for Beauty industry in Nevada

Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of Nevada and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.

Why is this important?

Other than client to professional contact; all licensed professional are already a minimum of 8 feet apart according to the rules and regulation of the Nevada Board of Cosmetology and Board of health. We have also been issued a list to show the proper items to be used to prevent SARS-Covid-2 as well as current sanitation regulations.

As of April 15, 2020; only 0.0010333 of our states' population has tested positive or has been deemed presumed positive.

Also, unemployment claims for 1099 and independent contractors will not even be up until mid May or later; The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.
