Texas tattoo shops open by April 27
Allow a licensed tattoo artist to perform a tattoo service privately with one client in the tattoo shop per tattoo artist at a time starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the State of Texas, the local Environmental Management Department, and the CDC will be followed.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as professionals are trained annually in BBP certifications, PPE requirements, cross contamination procedures, and follow strict IPCP guidelines.
We follow sanitization and cleanliness guidelines akin to any doctors' office or dentist office, and do so in between every client.

Why is this important?
Tattoo artists, body piercers, and shop owners are suffering due to these shutdowns. While some have financial help due to the COVID-19 relief bill, it’s still not enough to keep these businesses running and plenty are already going out of business due to these shutdowns. Families are in deep financial hardship, and $1200 is not enough for these shop owners to keep their business going as well as for their homes to be paid. Small business loans are available; however with the increase in these loans many are not getting the help they need, and paying back those loans will only make it worse for these businesses to thrive.
