Justice for Dominic Adams
Dear Honorable Judge O'Shea,
We, the people of Pueblo, demand justice for Dominic Adams, who was brutally murdered by Gabriel Santiago. Dominic was unarmed and in his car on a public street when he was senselessly killed. This heinous act of violence has shattered his family and loved ones.
Family and friends of Gabriel Santiago have been spreading lies and slander about Dominic. They are using old voice clips from his mother, recorded years ago, about Dominic as a child and how he refused his ADHD medication. Dominic suffered significant trauma and abuse as a child and needed help, just as he did the day he was killed. Instead of helping Dominic, they allowed a 19-year-old with unauthorized access to a weapon to kill him. Everyone has control of their thoughts and actions. These clips have been manipulated to create a false narrative, making Dominic look like a monster while hiding their own involvement in the events that led to his death. Gabriel's supporters are trying to play the victim, but we must not let them succeed.
Gabriel Santiago is a clear and present danger to our community. Video evidence shows him brandishing a gun on Facetime that was screen recorded, proving his violent and unstable nature. We cannot allow such a dangerous individual to remain free in our society.
Dominic was a father, brother, son, and friend. His murder has inflicted unbearable pain, especially on his child, who now longs to be with his daddy. This child and Dominic's family don't get to talk to him or see him, even if it's from behind bars—instead, they get a headstone. The lies and rumors spread by Gabriel and his family have further traumatized Dominic's loved ones. Gabriel's family and friends are manipulating messages and audio of his mom talking about when he was a child, using that to create a monster and make Dominic look like the bad guy, while the real bad guy sits behind bars for killing him. Yet they are making him out to be an angel of no wrongdoing.
We will fight no matter what it takes to receive the justice we and Dominic deserve for his murder. We will go to the ends of the earth to tell his story and open more doors on others who were involved. We will not stop. We are now Dominic's voice, and IT'S OUR TIME TO TALK, SPEAK, AND TO BE HEARD. THIS IS FOR DOMINIC!
We demand that the court recognize the severity of Gabriel's actions and the lasting impact on Dominic's family. Gabriel must be held accountable for his crime and serve a sentence that reflects the gravity of his actions. This case underscores the urgent need for stricter gun control in our city. Justice for Dominic Adams is essential for the safety and well-being of our community.
