Burbank Leader: Don't Publish Climate DenialI would like the Leader to follow it's parent's lead and take a stand against climate change in two ways. First, agree to only publish factual statements on the subject. Second, to actually discuss the subject more often in local reporting. Burbank, along with the rest of the planet, continues to experience hotter temperatures and more extreme weather events. This important topic should not be "outside the wheelhouse" of our journalists and I think readers would be very interested to see how area cities like LA are preparing for adaptation and are connecting the dots between extreme weather events, increases in vector diseases like west nile, reduced snow pack and water supplies, or major news stories such as the recent hurricane in the Philippines to climate change and the excessive burning of fossil fuels.169 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ferris

[The News Journal ]: Don't Publish Climate DenialNewspapers need to stop publishing letters that deny climate change, starting with the News Journal. Climate change is a serious, man made, issue that has and will severely affect all aspects of the world as we know it in areas such as food production, water resources, economy, culture, and society. Publishing letters that deny climate change and refuse to pay attention to irrefutable evidence encourage Delawareans to be passive and let the climate change continue.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emily Freilich

Keep fracking out of North Carolina!Fracking continues to poison drinking water across the country. Already oil and gas companies have leased over 8,000 acres of land in North Carolina in preparation of fracking. We still have the chance to stand up for our clean drinking water and keep fracking out of the state by urging our elected officials to pass a permanent ban on fracking. We know that it will take a massive effort to counter the oil and gas industry, so we've launched this effort to get 50,000 people to speak out. Please sign and spread the world so we can join together in support of keeping NC Frack-Free!4,213 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Dave Rogers

They are as bad as holocaust deniers, except that this is a holocaust that is happening right now, albeit at a slower pace. If you have children your denial is affecting their future!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paul Palla
