TRUMP DID WHAT???? Fired Comey amid an investigation into...uh...Trump?!? Independent Investigation now!

The department of education has just removed protections for students who fall on hard times, and as a result default on their student loans. Almost every other type of debt is discharged by bankruptcy, after all, Donald Trump has done it numerous times. Banks and Wall-street are afforded protections that America's students are not, and it is time to put an end to it.

The Chairman of this committee is clearly showing bias and partisanship. This investigation involves the current administration and their involvement in tampering with our presidential election. It is imperative that the facts be uncovered if we have a foreign government potentially involved in influencing our elections and one of the candidates is colluding with a foreign government. Everyone should be greatly alarmed. Nunes has jeopardized the integrity of this committee and he has potentially tainted the outcome. He needs to be removed from the committee immediately.

Devon Nunes has compromised an ongoing investigation by the Intelligence Committee; intentionally did not reveal his unverified information, implicating the Obama administration of wrongdoing. In fact, any incidental information was obtained legally via a Fisa warrant!

The purpose of this petition is to prevent any funding for the wall across the southern border.

The Department of Transportation must stop funding self-driving cars, a technology that the DOT and Uber are spearheading, risking the jobs of almost 10 million people. We’re calling on Secretary Elaine Chao to end taxpayer-subsidized job loss and keep Uber from deleting drivers. Uber has been under fire recently for leaked footage of CEO Travis Kalanick’s gross behavior towards one of his company’s drivers, telling him that drivers “don’t like to take responsibility” for the problems they face working for Uber, plus several allegations of a hostile and sexist work environment by current and former employees. This is nothing new for Uber -- the company has profited from the exploitation of its workers for years. Since Uber drivers are classified as independent contractors, they don’t have access to full benefits and health insurance. While Uber claims its drivers get to “be their own boss,”they are victims of constantly changing rates, which only keep getting lower and lower. This means poverty wages for the drivers Uber relies on. Adding insult to injury, the Department of Transportation is funding research for self-driving cars, which Uber plans to use so they can get rid of drivers to increase their profits. While the company claims that driverless cars will be cheaper for riders, they haven’t said anything about how self-driving cars will impact the lives of their own drivers. The Department of Transportation should not be funding Silicon Valley billionaires so they can line their pockets even more. DOT must stop funding a technology that will leave over 300,000 Uber drivers unemployed.

The threat of ending the DACA program will put 700,00-800,000 young people across the country at risk for deportation. Several threatened include students from our own student body at Aquinas College. Our school, with its Dominican traditions, should stand with our community and work to provide a safe space where all students can focus on their academics instead of worrying about their families and immigration status.

Seeing fake news titles and descriptions at the grocery checkout reinforces what the more gullible may already think and reinforces their brainwashing. These “magazines” are nothing more than Brietbart or Fox News or worse at the checkout. When I get to the checkout stand I do not want to be angered by these vile rags. Does my grocer want an angry customer at the checkout or a happy customer. These lies need to go.

I travel on the NJ Turnpike everyday and see the traffic caused by motorists who wait until the last minute to cut over to the exits stated, which causes major delays as other motorists hit their brakes to accommodate those driving erratically & irresponsibly.

Trump has been carelessly Tweeting out all sorts of wild garbage for years with no thought to possible consequences. Now that he is President, the reputation, credibility and even the security of the country is being damaged.

We, the citizens and taxpayers of this nation, and therefore, owners of the people's White House, object to the provision of a West Wing office, security clearance, and government-issued communications device for the President's daughter, Ivanka Trump. In this scenario, there is no precedent, no guidelines, and therefore, no protocol for accountability or oversight. Further, a conflict of interest is clear as reportedly Ms. Trump continues to own and profit from her fashion and jewelry businesses, both of which also appear to benefit from her father's name, presumably even moreso now that her father is President of the United States. Finally, this scenario is different from other adult children advising past Presidents: not just there to offer insights to her father, it appears Ms. Trump will have an expansive portfolio, and without associated education or experience in government, public office, or public policy. It has already been of significant concern to the petitioners herein to see Ms. Trump sitting in on high-level Presidential meetings with foreign heads of state.
