Wyoming Legislators are attempting to keep the will of the people from becoming law by blocking the process by which Legislation is introduced and passed in the Wyoming Legislature. With the most prohibitive Citizen's Initiative requirements in the country, the people of Wyoming and their will are ignored by the sitting assembly of people who are not required by their cronyism to admit new ideas or formulate new plans. These two Representatives have set out to DELIBERATELY thwart the growing tide of voters in Wyoming that are clamoring for comprehensive Cannabis Reform. It does not serve the people of Wyoming for anyone in our Legislature to take such a stance AGAINST the people. We are sending notice with this Petition that the people of Wyoming will not tolerate the manipulation of our will or of our laws and will thwart re-election attempts by all prohibitionists until we are victorious in legalizing Cannabis in Wyoming.

EDUCATION: African-American students are disproportionately represented among students that live in poverty, will not graduate from high school and are not prepared to enter the workforce. • Restore 1 Billion dollars to the State budget for Public Education to end teacher furloughs, decrease class sizes, and support education programming; • Restore 25 million to Pre-K Programming to allow all children access to a Pre-K programming, end the wait list for access to Early Childhood Education, and close achievement gaps; • Restore all funds that have been cut from the HOPE scholarship so that achieving students can attend College based upon robust funding and fair criteria; • Increase state support of and partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities to support the mission, purpose and legacy of these institutions. ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY: African-Americans are disproportionately represented among the 350,000 unemployed Georgians. They also reflect less than 3% of small and medium-size business owners receiving state contracts • Approve 5 Million dollars to support Georgia Department of Labor sites in inner-city communities to assist with job search, recruitment and hiring; • Restore funding that allows 45,000 citizens to attend Technical Colleges so that Georgia’s workforce is provided with the skills they need to earn livable wages; • Provide funding to support inner-city summer work programs for high school students; • Increase (MFBE) Minority|Female|Business|Enterprise contract procurement with the State by 10%. CRIMINAL JUSTICE: African-Americans are disproportionately represented in the juvenile detention and prison population, particularly African-American males. 80% of the people accused of a crime in the State of Georgia cannot afford independent representation. The militarization of the police force has led to less community policing and more brutality. • Increase the number of Hispanic and African-American State Troopers by 5% to support diversity; • Provide 5 Million dollars of Funding toward Diversity training for all State Troopers and City Police Officers in Georgia’s largest Metro Cities to adequately prepare officers to serve and protect Georgians; • Retrain law enforcement officers regarding escalation protocol so that police brutality and use of excessive force decreases; • Allocate 10 Million dollars to expand and support indigent defense programs and public defenders. VOTER SUPPRESSION Georgia officials had to clear voting changes with the Justice Department because of a long history of disenfranchisement and discrimination against African-American voters. More recently: 1) Augusta moved municipal elections from November to decrease African-American voter turnout; 2) Greene County implemented a redistricting plan previously blocked by the Justice Department to decrease African-American voter turnout; 3) Morgan County introduced a plan to eliminate half the area’s polling sites to decrease voter turnout in low-income and minority voters; 4) Efforts have mounted against Dekalb County to eliminate Sunday voting; and 5) Georgia Secretary of State, Jack Kemp is trying to invalidate the applications of 85,000 newly registered African-American voters. • Stop Georgia’s Secretary of State, Jack Kemp from invalidating the 85,000 African-American new voter registrations that have been received 2012-1014; • Cease African-American voter suppression throughout the state; • Stop efforts to end Sunday voting.

I trust Hillary more than anyone else to follow through on what she wrote, and make lasting repairs to meaningfully protect middle class and poor Americans, and increase opportunities for everyone. My roommate is an international student from China. She earned her PhD last year and has lived here lawfully for almost 8 years. She has worked tirelessly to pursue her American dream. But she missed a deadline, and is now facing deportation. This is not right. She earned her PhD in materials chemistry and has been working to develop new research to assist in cancer drug delivery and cancer treatment generally. The deadline she missed was to apply for her employment visa. She missed the deadline due primarily to the fact that she was mentally consumed by the reality that her own mother has been suffering from breast cancer - and also the fact that she was preparing to present her PhD thesis. Her drive is admirable, and her intentions are pure. She has never had any prior issues with her status, yet after one missed deadline she is facing a complete upheaval of her life. On January 26 the Bridgeport Planning and Zoning Committee will hear a petition from an organization that wants to build a 41-bed transition facility in Black Rock for convicted felons eligible for early release. The proposed site is within five blocks of the Burroughs Community Center and Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. The developer wants to buy and demolish three properties (39 Hubbell Street, 254 Orland Street, 873 Ellsworth Street) to build one large detention facility.

DHH will be holding a hearing to gather comments on January 29, 2015 in order to try and pass these restrictions. We need your signature in order to show that people oppose these additional restraints on the few remaining abortion clinics in the state of Louisiana, which are already struggling to stay open due to prior bills passed by the legislature.

We the undersigned, mostly being members of the Lake Erie Landlord Association and all owning rental property in the area served by the Lorain Municipal Court Jurisdiction do respectfully request that Eviction Court be expanded to two days a week to eliminate the long period of time a Landlord must wait for a hearing. If two hearings a week are not practical perhaps two hearings every other week or even once a month would lessen the problem somewhat. Each week a Landlord must wait to regain control of his/her property costs approximately $150.00 to $200.00 plus additional damages being done to the property.
