Clients can seek to see chiropractors (helps skeletal system) and physical therapist but that doesnt always help. Massage is a big influence on aiding help to people's health both physically and mentally. It is also an issue for some massage therapist because for those being independent this is our source of income. We haven't had the chance to apply for unemployment since it is not available for us to apply. Getting us back up and running will be beneficial to ourselves as well as our clients. It’s Important as we are small businesses that are self employed that can’t make a living if we are not working. It’s also essential for our clients to feel good about themselves.

Because it falls under hygiene… Some jobs require specifications for lengths of haircuts such as military, delivery services in the food industry. Also pertains to medical nurses and doctors. One nurse quoted:”I want to feel & look good for my patients.” Hairstylists need to be able to go back to work and provide an essential hygienic service – mostly haircuts

Pets are part of the family and need regular care to maintain their coat, ears, nails and overall health. Some pets need regular medication baths to control skin issues or help with their owners allergies. Pets need their nails trimmed so they do not hurt their owners skins. These services need done by professionals to prevent injuries.

In this time of hardship and social isolation, looking our best is primordial for our well being and mental health. Hairdresser and people in the beauty industry are considered gig workers, out of work means no pay for any one of us, with none o very little help from the government

The importance in our businesses being open is at this point there is nothing we can do to pay our bills. Most tattoo artist are 1099 employees. At the earliest May 17th was the last date told we would be able to apply for unemployment. We have been out of work for over 4 weeks. most tattoo artist work by appointment only. This allows use to control the amount of people in our establishments. Please consider what this is doing to so many families of artist. Ohio is one of the largest tattooed states in the whole country.
