    Our State passes the Charter Schools Initiative by a narrow margin. This petition calls on the governor and legislators to require that administrative costs be not for profit and do not exceed 3 % of all cash received. 97% of the funding received should go to Teachers, Instructional Assistants, Counselors, Custodians, supplies, building maintenance & utilities costs support our students education.

  • Hot Food for SNAP Recipients
    It's time we did away with the policy preventing food stamp recipients from purchasing hot food. From an energy standpoint this is wasteful because people have to reheat the food. From a social standpoint there are rising numbers of homeless people who have nowhere to heat the food. This is an ill conceived practice.

  • Statewide Initiative to Appoint Outside Redistricting Commissioner
    To bring in and appoint a non Texan Commissioner to oversee the redrawing of the Local, State and Federal Congressional Districts. This Commissioners mandate would be to create Districts representing the broadest diversity yet insuring an equal balance between the parties. Where that was not possible, then insuring that the numerical advantage is diffused across the State allowing for a clear and unequivocal victory for the better idea and the will of the people.
