The issue with Gun Violence has gotten out of control and we believe this program will help reduce the numbers drastically. The need for the Prevention of these crimes has become undeniable and we have conducted our own research to get us to the point we could design a program able to make a change. The commitment to change has to come from the individuals in the program and then we can proceed with the transformation. Our research leads us to believe that we must guide each person through the process and take the responsibility to make sure each one makes it through successfully. Obstacles in life always jump up and distract those in the process of changing so it's imperative that we anticipate these things and be there with the necessary adjustments needed to complete their change. Graduating them to a good paying job, life skills and a stable place for them to live and grow will show them they have already made the change from the type of people who would throw it all away to the ones that think things through and value what they have to lose. This is how we create better members of society is from making them proud to be a part of this society. This is how we will Save Our Streets, we must challenge everyone to do their part in making this work. Therefore we are initiating this challenge to everyone in the community from business owners and our corporate community to the volunteers and mentors who plan to be more hands on with the members of our program. Tech startups are quietly selling facial recognition services to high schools across the country. And the potential danger for students, especially students of color, is too troubling to just sit idly by. Facial recognition in schools also gives administrators the unprecedented ability to track and monitor students in real time, during some of the most formative years of their lives. What’s worse: as minors, students may not have any legal recourse to protect themselves from the racial flaws within facial recognition systems.

On the weekend of January 31-February 1, 2020, Regina Marston had a Twitter meltdown that began with her attacking Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). In the ensuing tweet storm Marston revealed herself to be racist and possessing poor judgment. Nominally, Marston is a communications professional. Marston provided enough incriminating info on herself that she will not be electable in a general election. (The incumbent is Rep. Ken Calvert (GOP).)

The Safari Club International will be meeting in Reno, Nevada this month for Safari Club International’s annual convention. This convention features trophy hunting opportunities and wildlife "trophies" or parts and products derived from wild animals. The Safari Club International has historically promoted and supported the killing of species for no use other than as "trophies." It has recently worked to prevent the protection of gray wolves and giraffes under the Endangered Species Act; most alarmingly, the Safari Club International supported the Trump Administration's revisions to its responsibilities under the Endangered Species Act. These revisions–that the Safari Club International loudly supported–will limit habitat protections, make protecting species from climate change more difficult, and allow economic cost of protection to be a guiding factor in future species protection decisions. These changes are the gravest attack on the Endangered Species Act in decades and the Safari Club International supported them through advocacy and lobbying. The Beach Boys should not endorse this culture of killing and extinction and should cancel their appearance at the Safari Club International convention.

The problem is getting extremely out of hand with over 50% of the traffic moving at 50mph and faster down our residential street even though it is clearly labeled at 25mph. Most of this traffic is by people using this road as a shortcut; people who do not live on this street. It is only a matter of time before somebody's child is hit and possibly killed by these people who will not slow down. I myself have almost been hit several times just going to check my mail or walking to a neighbor's house because these people will not even slow down when they see someone or something out there.

More importantly, the Mayor of Durham, Hon. Steve Schewel, has already verbally expressed his understanding, agreement and support for the establishment of such community Facility during his visit on January 15th, 2020. In just a few short years we have had a population growth spurt which has tripled the size of the North section of the City due to aggressive residential Real Estate Development. However, the children and seniors of these tens of thousands of new Residents have no Community Recreational Facility and therefore play in the street which is unsafe, unnecessary and unacceptable.

Chicago House and Social Service agency serves some of the most marginalized populations in Chicago. Communities that are experiencing homelessness, communities that are impacted by HIV and Trans women and Gender expansive communities. Chicago House Chief Financial Officer Andrea Peoples was arrested on January 6, 2020 by Chicago Police Department and Cook County State’s Attorney office charged her with felony theft. Andrea Peoples and two other “high level” employees defrauded Chicago House and Social Service Agency out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. This crime has put the clients, employees and community members at risk for losing access to housing, medical care, HIV prevention, legal, and case management. We can no longer put fiduciary trust in a group of people who did not sound the alarm as this robbery to our communities took place. We need new leadership that can be accountable and transparent to the communities it serves. Bunnies are family to so many owners just like your cats and dogs are family to you. People protest for their cats and dogs but don’t bat an eye about rabbits. It’s time for people to know how amazing rabbits are and how much they mean to their human family. Rabbits can get as big as a chihuahua and can live to be ten-thirteen years old. My rabbits are social, they play, they jump on the couch to be with me, they greet me when I come home and chase me to the door when they don’t want me to go to work. My bunnies go out with me and are very well behaved. They are potty trained and they have a routine. They chase me to go to the fridge because they know there’s vegetables in there. They learned to sniff what hand has the hidden treats and are trainable for agility. My point is bunnies are amazing pets and are literally half cat, half dog, half human personality. Bunnies are not the favored pet due to them being exotic and maintenance but there are more bunny owners than you know. My bunnies also spoil me with a mad amount of kisses. These pets are amazing and NEED more CREDIT than they get. No cat or dog owner would put up with dog or cat meat at a pet store so WHY should bunny owners?
