NJDEP DENY Permits for NESEPlease sign and share: The NJDEP was to decide on the permits for Williams -Transco's proposed Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) Project on Oct 25th BUT Williams- Transco withdrew 3 applications and asked for an extension on the other. The NESE Projects includes a new gas-powered gas Compressor Station (—the most polluting type—in Franklin near South Brunswick & Princeton- in an active blasting zone, in a wooded area, where there is very low water pressure and no functioning fire hydrants) and a 23-mile Pipeline Expansion underneath the Raritan Bay and Lower New York Harbor (the construction project will dredge up industrial toxins like arsenic, lead, zinc and mercury and organic compounds PCBs, DDT, and dioxins that have been buried under the seabed for decades.) If Governor Murphy and The NJDEPare serious about stopping the greenhouse gas pollution that’s driving us towards irreversible Climate Catastrophe, the choice is clear. We are well beyond the point where we can let the greed of the fossil fuel industry halt our transition to 100% clean renewable energy.525 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Linda R Powell

Hope XThis petition is for Moms Demand Action extension from an African American who is has kids in the school system and marched for MarchforOurLives & Enough is Enough. We need radical change and reform with the political thought process of making teachers arm their classrooms with weapons. More can be done when a panic button is hit and perhaps a classroom is locked to trap the gunman or prevent the gunman from entering a classroom. Surveillance cameras should be installed to watch the hallways and swift manuerving from the local resource officer can happen. I hope that you find this a beneficial way for prevention of more school massacres in the future. A resource officer should always be present to greet the students period in all school levels. Thank you for reading this petition and please network with others to voice your opinions.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aisha Guiles

Boaters asking Governor to halt one aspect of the possible 130% slip fee increaseDNLR proposed a bill that significantly increases the slip fees in all the State of Hawaii Boat Harbors. The bill was approved by the Land Board and Governor Ige in August, to take effect November 1, 2019. One aspect of the bill is quite expensive and unfair to boaters. Until now, boaters have been charged by the length of their boat, but the new legislation allows the harbor to charge for the maximum length of the dock, which in some cases can be 9 feet of 'airspace.' We are asking the Governor to intervene and order the DNLR to charge the new fee according to the size of the boat. Then, in the upcoming year, DNLR can work on the legislation to abolish the size categories (within the harbor). Boaters who want to move to shorter slips are NOT currently allowed to do so because it would upset the waitlist, which is approximately 5 years. Charging by the 'length of the dock' puts an extra financial burden on the smallest boats. The size 'Category' system used for the waitlist and placement of boats in the harbor should be abandoned. Each size 'Category' is 10 feet in length so the boats with lengths on the cusp of categories will be paying for 'airspace'. This aspect of the rate increase was not fully thought out by the boating division. DNLR-Boating administrators have suggested that people in this situation 'move to shorter dock', yet the Harbormaster says we must reapply and wait potentially 5 years for a smaller slip. Please start the new fee using the established 'per foot of boat length' as each boat has already been measured. Do not use the length of the dock for pricing. We are asking Governor Ige to make the emergency provision regarding this matter during the 'grace period' between the signing of the law and before the new fees take effect, November 1, 2019. For example, I have an O'Day 35 sailboat in a 'Category C' slip. (The base rate does not include Dock Box, Bathroom Keys, Taxes, Electricity, or proof of Insurance.) My current Base rate per month is $253.00 My New November 1 rate based on the length of my boat would be $468.00 My New November 1 rate based on the length of my dock could be $ 585.00 depending on how the dock is measured. The current dock permittees have not been notified in writing what their exact individual dock measurements are. The harbor agents are still measuring the docks and can't give exact individual bill amounts yet. We do not know exactly what will be charged on November 1, 2019. Staying with the per foot of BOAT length is a better way the start the new fee. Mahalo.200 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Kate Thompson

Impeach Trump NowDonald Trump and those around him have sought to undermine the institutions of our democracy in ways we've never seen before. The revelations found in the whistleblower complaint released earlier this week make this clearer than ever. The whistleblower complaint indicates the following: 1) Trump and his associates violated campaign finance law. 2) Trump’s acts constitute bribery. 3) According to the Hobbs Act, Trump committed extortion. 4) In attempting to cover up these offenses, Trump obstructed justice. We know all this and more to be true. If you value our constitution and our democracy, as you purport to do, join us and House Democrats by supporting the impeachment inquiry.102 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Seta Ghazarian

School needs to changeThe things we learn in school are not going to make the future a better place. When these children leave high school, they are going to be so lost. They won’t know how to do their taxes or how to look after their heath or stocks, etc. This needs to be changed.36 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Maci Hopper

DRBC, Reject PennEast and Close the FileWe've started this petition to gather individual signatures to accompany a letter that organizations opposing the PennEast pipeline have written and are preparing to submit. Here is the letter in full: Dear DRBC Commissioners, It is time for the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) to act on the PennEast pipeline! It’s time to REJECT the project and CLOSE the file. The actions you take and the decisions you make regarding the PennEast pipeline are setting precedent for every other pipeline to follow. New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware waterways, the natural landscapes that dictate the health of their water resources, and all of the communities that depend on healthy waters, healthy forests, and the healthy economies that healthy waterways and ecosystems provide -- are being hard hit by the onslaught of fracked gas pipelines emanating from the fracking shale fields. It has been over 3 ½ years since the PennEast pipeline company filed its application with the DRBC. Since that time organizations, communities, along with their experts, have documented the false, misleading and missing information in the PennEast application materials; we have demonstrated the irreparable harm that PennEast would inflict if constructed; there have been significant route changes; and a federal court ruling has upheld the right of the state of New Jersey to deny PennEast the power of eminent domain to take and/or infringe on its property rights which will necessarily result in a new round of route changes. All the while, the devastating impacts of climate change – a human-induced catastrophe in large part driven by fracking and their pipelines – including on communities, environments, and water resources are growing at an unprecedented and soon to be unstoppable rate. It is time for the Delaware River Basin Commission to make clear it has jurisdiction over the entire pipeline right of way (every square inch and every impacted resource) and then to step up and deny a docket to the PennEast pipeline. At this time when the federal government is working hard to reduce the authority that states have to protect their water resources, and given the massive explosion of gas drilling and associated infrastructure, the role of the Delaware River Basin Commission to protect the water resources of our region is more important than ever. It is no longer legally appropriate, nor morally defensible, for you to continue to keep the application file open and leave communities and natural resources across the basin threatened with harm from the ever-present PennEast-axe hanging over our heads.1,925 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Karen Feridun

Make our streets safer for pedestrians and cyclistsI live in, work in or visit Hillsborough, NC and I value a community that is safe for walkers and bikers. Where everyone follows the speed limits and stop signs all the time, not just when it is convenient or someone else is watching. I value the lives of our children, elderly and pets and I want everyone to drive in my neighborhood like they do as well. Hillsborough’s walkability is one of the main reasons people move here or visit, it has positive health benefits for residents and visitors and it brings tourism business to the town. Unfortunately, traffic surveys routinely show, and pedestrians regularly experience, the majority of drivers in residential neighborhoods speed and do not follow traffic signs. I want the town to make public a plan to reduce dangerous driving and to regularly make public reports demonstrating significant reductions in dangerous driving to ensure pedestrians and cyclists in Hillsborough are not endangered by reckless drivers. Recreational/Medicinal CannabisWe the people of the United States of America want and need this medicine. If alcohol can be legal with it being as harsh as it is, then Cannabis should be legal, plus it has benefits from helping medically and economically. We can use a percentage of the tax revenue off of the sale for helping with education as well as families that can't afford school lunches all the way down to school supplies for low-income families as well. There are way more benefits to it as well. Tobacco is legal and has zero benefits to it. None of the proceeds or profits from taxes go to better anything. So many children could benefit from Cannabis Grants who are less fortunate and cannot afford to go to college to better the country as a whole. People who have been imprisoned for possession of a plant that grows in nature is very absurd. People's lives have been wasted because of it, all over a "plant". Why keep wasting money targeting people for the possession of cannabis? The people are still going to buy, grow, and sell Cannabis. Why not put restrictions on it like that of alcohol? If you don't want to do it, you do not have too. Make it where you cannot use it in public unless in designated areas. Open up Cannabis lounges, Dispensaries, use inside private homes and designated areas such as hotels, motels, Cannabis lounges, and designated park areas. No use while operating vehicles of any type such as Boats, Motorcycles, Automobiles, or any other form of transportation. No sale to that of a person under 21 years of age. Can grow up to 6 plants per household at any given time of the year. No possessing of more than 2 ounces on a person while out in public. No use while at a place of employment; same standard as alcohol.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Casey L. Crabtree
