  • Say "NO!" to Offshore Drilling on North Carolina Coast
I am a N.C. citizen who cares about what happens to our environment and economy. I was devastated to learn of the Trump administration's plan to open the oceans off all coasts of the U.S. to offshore drilling, and the seismic air gun blasts that precede it. I was, of course, deeply concerned for my home state. Seismic air gun blasts can be devastating to marine life...everything from oysters and scallops to turtles and whales. The oil spill risk, by itself, should be enough to frighten anyone. Did we learn nothing from the BP oil spill? Governor Roy Cooper said, "Protection of our beaches, sounds and marine life is vital to ensuring a robust coastal economy." And I agree with Gov. Cooper. We must keep our Ocean waters clean and healthy for a thriving economy and a sound environment. Please join me and say "NO!" to offshore drilling!!!

  • Health Insurance Equity
I am an insurance broker in Virginia, Maryland and DC dismayed by the lack of options available to individuals and families who don't receive health insurance through their employment. Many of the large insurance companies have withdrawn from the marketplace while continuing to sell the more lucrative employer sponsored group plans. They shouldn't be allowed to cherry pick profitable business while failing to serve the general public.

  • Withdraw Tennessee House Bill 2620 and Senate Bill 2480
The Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition Tennessee (TTPC) invites you to help ensure equal opportunities for all Tennessee children. Every year some legislators insist on attempting to attack transgender residents, both children and adults. They repeatedly rush to spend taxpayer dollars to do so. This year, they intend to force the state to pay the legal costs of any school which chooses to discriminate against the children it's intended to serve or its own employees. This bill was already presented and withdrawn once this legislative session. Now Sen. Hensley and Rep. Holt have chosen to pick it back up. There are better uses of our state resources than putting trans children and school employees at risk to deal with imaginary issues. All children deserve equal opportunities, and our state needs to be inviting to new business.

  • Remove Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Sallie Updyke Mundy
How Dare a Judge, who is supposed to be impartial, take large sums of money to decide an extremely important issue like fair elections. Yet there does NOT seem to be any real response from so-called civil minded, follow the law Republicans, who are supposed to believe in doing the right thing for this country. Yet as with our president, they seem to follow Putin's game plan: Undermine the voting right of ALL Americans and a fair election. Just like the Republicans in Alabama, North Carolina, and the Big Ripoff in Texas, these Judges and the cronies in our government are UNAMERICAN and are playing into PUTIN'S Hands.

  • Stop Logging in West Virginia State Forest
West Virginia is known as "The Mountain State". Who wants to look at a denuded landscape? This will have a negative impact on the tourists coming here to see the natural beauty of the state.

  • Affordable Housing for Everyone!
The Florida Legislature is entitled to divert money from affordable housing programs to their own purposes. This is affecting particularly low income families from owning or renting a home. Our Senator, Kathleen Passidomo, is attempting to pass legislation limiting the Florida Legislature from taking Sadowski Trust Funds to unappropriated sources. There are over 34,000 homeless individuals just in Florida and when the budget was lowered, several pedestrians found themselves without housing. In fact, it wasn’t just the budget that was tempered. The prices for rent have also skyrocketed, and it has become exceptionally troublesome to find rent.

  • Tell the PA Senate President: You're Not Above the Law
Our state Senate president wants to keep Pennsylvania’s gerrymandered district lines exactly as they are – even if it means breaking the law. Pennsylvania’s political districts are so wildly gerrymandered that the state Supreme Court ordered the legislature to throw out the congressional maps and draw new ones before the next election. But Senate President Joe Scarnati has refused. He’s appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. And now he’s defying a Pennsylvania Supreme Court order asking for data on the state’s current district boundaries so that the court can prepare to redraw district lines if the legislature won’t do it. Senate leaders have rigged the system for long enough. Tell Senator Scarnati that even though he’s the Senate President, he still must follow the law like everyone else. Urge him to stop defending gerrymandered districts.

  • Stop Spread of Invasive Coqui
Coqui frogs' loud call can cause hearing loss, inability to have conversations, lack of sleep, etc., and are still imported in potted plants. One coqui frog chirps at 95 decibels and with no snakes to control their numbers, the spread of coquis will continue and the density (reaching 10-20,000 per acre) of the coqui frog population will ruin Maui for all residents unless Maui County Council stops ignoring the seriousness of the issue and funds Maui Invasive Species Committee the full eradication budget needed over the next 5+ years.
