  • Another Attempt to Destroy Our Democracy
The Republicans are using gerrymandering (redistricting the states) to stack the deck in their favor. This has allowed them to unethically win elections. As a result they are breaking unions, beating down the middle class and the most vulnerable. Their plan is to use this process to win the election in 2016. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan and Wisconsin have been affected. All states are fair game for them. These are tactics backed by the Koch brothers and ALEC.

  • Justice Scalia compared homosexuality to murder.
Before the United States Supreme Court hears any case affecting the rights of homosexuals, Justice Scalia's bias against homosexual citizens disqualifies him from participating in the formation of any ruling by the court. As a United Methodist pastor my denomination and I personally believe that homosexuals no less than heterosexuals are endowed by our creator with the rights provided by the United States Constitution. My faith and my duties as a citizen compel me to do all in my power to defend the rights of homosexuals, including their full protection by the courts. Instead, Justice Scalia abuses his office to deprive homosexuals of their rights.

  • I want my GOP back!
Politics is about compromise. Compromise became a dirty word in Congress. After a record number of filibusters, the GOP just filibustered their own bill. That's unprecedented. In the House, the GOP refuses to make the Bush tax cuts permanant for 98% of Americans & 97% of small businesses. GOP is no longer the champion of tax cuts, or immigration, or national security. GOP also blocked a jobs bill to fix our roads & lower the high unemployment rate. That's unprecedented. GOP also hurt our currency rating & cost our economy $18 billion during an unprecedented & unnecessary debt ceiling debate. Now they're threatening to do it again.

  • Truth in Campaigning and advertising
With all the false adds that ran during the elections in the last 2 years, this would be one way to clean up politics. Anyone knowingly advertising or campaigning false facts will be fined the price of the add they ran and damages to the victim of the add. They will also need to run an add to denounce the false add at the same time the false add was ran. Winning a political race should be done with the same honesty and dignity as we expect them to run our country and government!!!.

  • Petition to stop paying Congress when they are not working and are retiring or have retired.
I have been reading how citizens have become frustrated with congress leaving on vacation and not settling issues before leaving. They should not be allowed payment, just like any other citizen that does not work. Also, they should not be allowed any type of retirement funding by the people, and should save as many Americans do when they retire. This also includes healthcare.

  • Lawmakers: STOP Accepting Campaign Cash from Sallie Mae
Higher education in the U.S. is being hijacked by vast amounts of cash flooding the campaign coffers of those who purport to represent us. Thanks to endless lobbying and limitless cash that has been showered upon members of Congress, including and especially House Speaker John Boehner, student loans have been stripped of all basic consumer protections. As long as our leaders in Washington continue to line their pockets with Sallie Mae's money, student loan borrowers will continue to get the shaft.

  • Remove John Boehner
Even after America have spoken, it's obvious John Boehner still has a hidden agenda. He need to be investigated then removed from being the Speaker of the House because he is doing a terrible job. Even when he is losing support from his own party he still is showing how big of an ass he can be. Boehner is part of the good old boys club which have died years ago. He is not concerned by this country he has proven that again and again.
