Judge Gorsuch: Speak out publiclyI think we all are affected by Trump's desire to make the judicial branch do his bidding. We need Judge Gorsuch, who is in a very prominent position right now, to speak up and defend the Constitution of the US.69 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Way Shen

Warn Our Legislators That We Will Hold Them to AccountWe must not allow our legislators to silently benefit from Donald Trump's presence in the White House without their personal acceptance of responsibility for the agenda he is promoting. Join us in warning them that we, the voters, will remember and hold them to account when they stand for reelection.170 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Alain Bourgeois

Investigate Donald TrumpOn February 9, 2017, Representative Jerrold Nadler took the extraordinary step of filing a "resolution of inquiry" in the U.S. House that could force a House investigation into Donald Trump’s financial conflicts of interest and ties to the Russian government. Media reports have called Rep. Nadler’s action the “most aggressive move” yet by Democrats. If Rep. Nadler is successful, the Department of Justice will have "to provide Congress with the basic information required to conduct an inquiry into President Trump and his associates" conflicts of interest, ethical violations—including the Emoluments Clause—and connections to the Russian government." The DOJ will also have to provide information related to " any criminal or counterintelligence investigation targeting President Donald J. Trump, National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Carter Page, Roger Stone, or any employee of the Executive Office of the President." This could be just the breakthrough needed for the American people to learn the full extent of Trump's unconstitutional activity. The House Judiciary Committee has 14 legislative days to respond to Rep. Nadler's request, or it will automatically go to the full House for vote, forcing Republicans to grapple with and vote on whether they are going to take seriously and investigate—or continue to ignore—Trump’s flagrant ethical and constitutional violations. We need a massive wave of support and media attention now to make sure all the committee members understand that the American people demand a timely and thorough investigation of Donald Trump. Anything short of that is a complete abdication of their oversight responsibility—and we will hold them accountable accordingly.529,491 of 600,000 SignaturesCreated by Jo Comerford

Make Pennsylvania a Sanctuary StateThe Pennsylvania Values Act The Pennsylvania Values Act will protect all Pennsylvanians by ensuring that state and local resources are not used for mass deportations, separation of families or to divide Pennsylvanians on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, immigration status, or national or ethnic group. This bill would create “safe zones” around public places such as public schools, courthouses and hospitals. Immigration enforcement would be banned from these places and this bill would also require these agencies to update their confidentiality policies so that immigration status is not shared for enforcement purposes. The Pennsylvania Values Act has not been introduced yet. We are urging our legislators and Gov. Wolf to move this concept forward. Throughout his campaign, President Trump has publicly stated his stance against immigration, where he threatened to increase deportations and target the Muslim community. Now that he is president, he has issued a travel ban that targets Muslims and has begun the process of expanding the deportation of families. He also threatened to cut the funding from cities or counties that declare themselves “sanctuary.” This puts cities and counties in a limbo, to decide between cooperating with immigration enforcement or to lose their funding. This bill is important to the immigrant community because if local and state agencies cooperate with federal immigration authorities, the immigrant community will lose the hard-earned trust of our local agencies. Broken trust can lead our immigrant community to discontinue seeking services such as health services, educational services or they will fear to inquire for law enforcement’s help if they are victims or witnesses of a crime to avoid being questioned about their immigration status.270 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Michael Morrill

Dean Heller Town HallSenator Heller represents Nevadans but has not given us the opportunity to meet with him in a Town Hall or other public event. We deserve a chance to share our perspectives and how we are being affected by his actions and the actions of the Trump White House. Senator Portman, Host a Town HallI have personally had difficulty reaching Senator Portman. When I am able to reach his office by phone, I am assured that my messages will be "passed along", and when I email or fax I receive canned responses only after my wishes - and the wishes of many other Ohioans - have been disregarded. Senator Portman, you need to face your constituents. Hold a public event!7,529 of 8,000 SignaturesCreated by Annabelle M Fisher

Tell Congress and the Administration: Investigate Secretary Price’s Scandalous Stock PurchasesDespite Tom Price's scandalous stock purchases, Senate Republicans confirmed his nomination in the dark of night and put him in charge of our healthcare, knowing full well he intends to repeal the Affordable Care Act and destroy Medicare and Medicaid. But the fight does not end here. We need an independent investigation of how Price used his position in Congress to make himself richer and America poorer and sicker, and ongoing oversight and accountability to ensure he doesn't use his new position as Secretary of Health and Human Services to enrich himself even more. Since Congress didn’t properly vet Tom Price, these agencies can and should: • Government Accountability Office • Securities Exchange Commission • Office of Congressional Ethics • Health and Human Services Inspector General • Department of Justice Inspector General • Department of Justice • Federal Bureau of Investigation • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Congress can still make this right - these committees can and should investigate Secretary Price: • House Oversight and Government Reform Committee • Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Here's a refresher on Tom Price's ethically dubious activities: • When the Obama Administration introduced a rule to make cancer and arthritis treatments cheaper, Price co-sponsored legislation to block the changes. Meanwhile, he had invested between $6,000-$90,000 in the six companies that opposed Obama’s rule. • When a regulation was proposed to improve Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements for hip and knee implants, Price delayed the regulation. Turns out, only 48 hours earlier, he had bought $15,000 of stock in Zimmer Biomet that would have suffered from the new rule. Zimmer Biomet then donated to Price’s campaign. • Despite telling the Finance Committee, he only purchased shares of Innate Immunotherapies that were open to everyone, he actually got a special deal given to only 20 US investors. Four months later, he voted for legislation to benefit the company, a potential violation of the STOCK Act. • In May 2016, Price introduced a law to block changes to Medicare reimbursements to make walkers and hospital beds cheaper. A week later, he purchased $15,000 of shares in Blackstone which owns Apria that sells this equipment– lining his own pockets. • Who knows what else he could be hiding? Since 2012, he’s traded over $300,000 in shares of 40 health-related companies, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis.1,702 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Baron

Reform Measure 11My 24 yr old son Jeremy Hopper II was recently convicted of Manslaughter 1, Assault 2 and Assault 4 stemming from a motor vehicle accident on May 4, 2016. He is the first person that we know of in the state of Oregon history to be convicted of such crimes when there were no drugs or alcohol in his system. They have blamed the accident on "speed racing" however, there are many holes in the case the state presented. Due to a biased court, judge, prosecutor and jury, he did not receive a fair trial and was found guilty. Jeremy has been an upstanding citizen. He was the manager of a local retail store until trial, had only one speeding ticket when he was 16 yrs old and had never been in trouble with the law. Even though we do not believe street racing is something Jeremy would do, as he never has done it and does not have the desire to race, he would have taken a plea and pled guilty to avoid the chance of measure 11. Unfortunately the DA refused to offer Jeremy a plea that did not contain a measure 11 crime. They did however offer the other defendent a plea of no measure 11, and 60-90 months in jail which is even a little excessive considering the other pleas offered in similar cases in the same county. The other defendent is also known for street racing, has been racing all his life, and in fact gotten a ticket the week prior for going 122. Jeremy was a target from the very moment this accident happened and they refused to treat him equal during any portion from the investigation forward. They had just given a plea deal in the same county in just Oct to a kid that was high, speeding, ran a stop sign and killed two people only 5 years, again no measure 11. We need to reform Measure 11 so good kids like Jeremy are not railroaded by DA's that are out with a vendetta against someone. Take this horrible power out of their hands!!!165 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Kim Hopper

At the present time, we are collaborating with the Town of Stratford and State of Connecticut to restore the East Barn, which will be re-purposed into a Visitors & Educational Center. The cost of this project will exceed $200,000.
