The PVRPD has placed restrictions on which groups can use the field space for soccer. According to PVRPD by-laws, Community Service Groups are the highest priority organization to be awarded field space access. PVRPD has an application process which details the requirements on becoming a Community Service Group. MSA FC has completed and submitted the application to become a Community Service Group and while MSA FC fulfills all the listed requirements, MSA FC was denied. The PVRPD by-laws do not state any restrictions on the number of community service groups that can be recognized, yet they have arbitrarily denied MSA FC from being recognized in the Community Service Group category because PVRPD has two organizations who are already classified as Community Service Groups in the same general category. PVRPD has denied MSA FC the use of Pleasant Valley Fields and other park facilities. MSA FC members are comprised of a community of local residents whose tax dollars pay for the Pleasant Valley Fields and other facilities. Sign the petition asking that the PVRPD recognize MSA FC as a Community Service Group.

The current practice of convicting residents who fail to cut their grass as criminals is nearly criminal in and of itself. Opportunities are reduced for those with criminal records. Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party – the Minnesota arm of the national Democratic Party – has recently announced its intention to invite New York Senator Chuck Schumer to be the keynote speaker at the 10th Annual DFL Founders Day Dinner. [1] This announcement by the Minnesota DFL could not come at a worse time for supporters of the nuclear agreement with Iran. Schumer is the most prominent Congressional Democrat opposing the deal. [2] Only one other Senate Democrat has come out against the deal – indicted New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez. If just four Senate Democrats follow Schumer’s example, Senate Republicans will likely have the votes they need to send a rejection of the Iran accord to President Obama, forcing the President to use a politically embarrassing veto and undermining the credibility of any future President to negotiate war-preventing diplomatic accords in the future. By inviting Schumer to keynote their dinner, Minnesota Democrats are signaling that Schumer’s actions to undercut diplomacy are ok with them, that undermining the Democratic President when he negotiates an international accord to prevent war is ok with them. This isn’t just bad for the Iran deal; it’s bad for future efforts to prevent war by using diplomacy. The HICKMAN Family Farm came to Tonopah AZ in 2014 with a third party land purchase. They did not tell the seller what the property would be used for. They proposed twelve million chickens for eggs. This unincorporated town of Tonopah, AZ has to breathe pathogens, chicken dander, and dust kicked up by their operations. We are five thousand people; we all vote. We have NO representation because our county supervisor is the President of the company. That is a CLEAR conflict of interest. We have gone to other members of Senate and Congress. We have not heard back. We went to Federal Agencies for Environmental concerns. They tell us they are doing their best to make sure Hickman's is compliant with regulations. Then why are we being terrorized in our own homes and property? We can't go outside and have a barbecue this Labor day, because no one wants to deal with the flies or the stench. Hickman's is one half mile from the epicenter of our town. Why should they be able to come settle here and ruin our quality of life and the planning and development we had already planned before the Hickmans plopped down here? We have a hot spring here that has been here for thirty years. People come from all over the world to heal in its waters. Please help us get our President to help our little community. Thank you.
