I support the Iran nuclear deal. I don't want another war in the Middle East, if it can be prevented.

If we want to continue to have a creative class in this country, we need to support artists. (PUBLIC DOMAIN is owned by the public, is it not?) Why not require profitable businesses to pay for the privilege of making money from artists' hard work? The latest research demonstrates that education in the arts helps students' brains mature and develop, yet the arts are the first thing that get cut from schools when money is tight. If we want to remain competitive in the global economy, it behooves us to make sure that all students in the public schools have access to high quality arts education.

I have a daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren who reside in Israel. I also have a strong attachment to that land because of my Jewish heritage. I believe that this agreement will further promote peace in that region, even though it does not assure peace because of so many other factors at play. I can only hope that this agreement will spur the further action by the U.N. and world powers to bring about a fair and just peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Thank you.

These extraordinary gentle, slow moving whales travel from Nova Scotia down to Florida to give birth. The proposed Eubaelena Oculina National Marine Sanctuary will expand the current tiny critical habitat of the North Atlantic right whale and protect the area permanently from seismic air-gun blasting and oil and gas - http://www.nominate.noaa.gov/nominations/ - but the fishing/boating/oil and gas lobbies are working overtime spreading falsified information in order to prevent this protection. Tell President Obama and Senator Bill Nelson to establish this National Marine Sanctuary before it's too late! Stop the oil and gas industry from destroying these magnificent creatures and our Florida waters!

Marijuana prohibition was only implemented based on public hysteria caused by lies and racism, as well as a desire by the lumber and petroleum industry as many paper and petroleum based products can be produced more cheaply and efficiently with industrial hemp. According to the U.S. Government's own statistics, not one American has ever died as a result of consuming cannabis period.

America needs passage of President Obama's anti-nuclear agreement with Iran in order to help stabilize the Middle East and to focus on defeat of ISIS.

I have been effected by this problem, as well as everyone who goes to my pain clinic. I have been told that I must retire by three different doctors because of my major and multiple spine problems and EDS, and that they are sorry they are barred from using effective medications for pain. I've heard that they have cut the veterans of the United States of America off completely at the VA hospitals. How can they treat all of us who have fought for our country with such cruelty?

History has shown that Trickle Down Theory has long proven a failure; The New Economy that the "Globo-Corporatists" began selling the people starting in the 1990’s has failed (several times now). A proposed 250-acre drag racing facility will create significant noise and light pollution as well as toxic runoff that could threaten decades of work and critical Hawaiian coastline that includes Mahai`ula and Manini`owali (aka Kua Bay). We ask elected representatives to encourage more compatible use of those state, "ceded lands" while working to find win-win solutions to the public's varied recreational goals, including providing utmost protection of Hawai`i Island's natural beauty, environmental and cultural integrity.

It's important to the safety and civil rights of minorities feel safe in knowing that the very same law enforcement officers and officials that have taken an oath to protect and serve the public aren't members of secret societies wih racist agendas. In light of events from Mike Brown to the senseless brutality and unwarranted arrest of Sandra Bland. We have now learned that Walter County Sheriff Glenn Smith, who made the first public comments about Ms. Bland's in-custody death, was suspended for documented cases of racism when he was chief of police in Hempstead, TX, in 2007. After serving his suspension, more complaints of racism came in, and Smith was actually fired.

Money and politics are a bad combination.

Eight youth plaintiffs just won a precedent-setting court victory in Foster et. al. v. Washington Department of Ecology. The Western Environmental Law Center, a nonprofit public interest law firm, represented the youth who filed their petition in collaboration with Our Children's Trust, a nonprofit leading a global legal campaign for a healthy atmosphere and stable climate. In a landmark decision, the King County Superior Court ordered the Washington Department of Ecology to reconsider their decision denying the youth’s request for a rule regulating carbon dioxide emissions and to consider the best available climate science. We need your voice to help us ensure that Governor Inslee does the right thing by directing Ecology to regulate carbon dioxide emissions by August 7, 2015.
