After watching a documentary about the Central Park Jogger case back in 1989, I was left wondering if cases of false confessions still occur. As of February 4, 2014, 1,403 people have been exonerated in the United States since 1989, according to the National Registry of Exoneration. I created this petition in hopes that forensic psychologists can be put in the room during a police interrogation in order to make sure confessions aren't being coerced. This will serve as a checks and balance system for police officers during the interrogation process because, as of now, there is no one overlooking police officers during interrogations.

Bill to be heard in WA State House Committee on Public Safety Tuesday Remember those horrific pictures that workers employed at Darigold dairies risked their jobs to take to document animal abuse where they work? Well, if a recently introduced bill becomes law in the State of Washington, taking those pictures will become a criminal act. If we share those pictures with you, we too could be found guilty of a crime and possibly forced to pay ridiculous amounts of damages. In other words, HB 1104 threatens to silence all of us who care about animal welfare, worker rights, and even food safety. This bill is clearly in response to our Darigold campaign and is a shameless attempt to quiet workers and even the UFW. Rather than allowing Darigold to hide behind lobbyists and legislators, join us in calling on them to publicly denounce this bill. Drug companies are becoming more and more vulgar and offensive with the Ads they are running about their products. Most pertaining to sexually related functions or matters. These commercials are offensive and borderline pornographic. Please take these commercials of the air. This is personal information someone should be receiving from their doctor, NOT learning about while watching TV with their young childern. I find these commercials uncomfortable to watch and unnecessary. Yes watching TV with your children can be a valuable way to open up a dialogue about such topics as drug use and personal safety. Any one whose family is affected by cancer know that the cost of the cancer drugs are unreasonable, bankrupt the medicare fund, and bankrupt family nest eggs. In many cases these drugs are priced at the highest possibly price and abut are not expensive to develop or to manufacture. The current patent laws are inappropriate and outdated for drug development. While the lowest doses that cause some of these effects are not yet well defined, it is clear that certain subsets of the population are particularly vulnerable to fluoride’s toxicity. Populations with heightened vulnerability to fluoride include infants, individuals with kidney disease, individuals with nutrient deficiencies, and individuals with medical conditions that cause excessive thirst. Additionally, we see the fluoride chemicals added to our water contain Lead, Arsenic and other contaminants harmful to human health. Some of these contaminants, especially lead and the fluoride itself, have been shown to cause disproportionate harm to African Americans according to the CDC and scientists who have served with the EPA whose data conclude African Americans absorption rates of these contaminants are higher than other members of the population. Fluoridation of the Memphis water supply must end because WE ALL deserve Safe Water from our public utility company!

I just created a petition on "We The People" to protect the Jones Act. John McCain is attempting to abolish this Act by slipping it into legislation for the Keystone Pipeline which has nothing to do with each other. This Act ensures that American merchant companies hire American merchants. These companies employ thousands of American citizens. Abolishment will allow these companies to hire foreign merchants for pennies on the dollar. It also requires that all goods shipped between ports of the United States be carried by vessels built in the United States and owned and operated by Americans. The tax money that comes from these merchants is well in the millions. That tax money will now be going to other countries. Not to mention the national security involved with merchants from all over the world going in and out of the busiest ports in the country. The residents of Broward County are facing a drastic change in waste management that will adversely affect the quality of life in our county. Waste Management Inc. is proposing to shut down and level the waste-to-energy facility where 4,500 tons of the county’s post-recycled everyday household waste were transformed into enough clean energy to power 100,000 local homes and offset 2.4 million barrels of oil per year. If the Commissioners approve this, waste will pile up, the stench across the community will again be noxious and property values will fall.

William is a 57 year old Disabled Veteran ON OXYGEN , ASSAULTED by Jacksonville Florida Police. March 15th 2014, Police arrived at Bills house on a "Well Person Check." Bill came out and told Police he was fine. Police wanted Bill to come with them. They had no warrant.... he said he was fine and refused to leave. THAT WAS HIS LEGAL RIGHT! Instead of leaving , Police held Bill hostage for 18 hours inside his home. They SHUT HIS POWER OFF , FLOODED HIS HOME WITH LIGHTS AND LOUD NOISES. 18 HOURS LATER THEY PUNCHED A HOLE IN BILL'S HOME AND THREW A PHONE IN.... THEN TEAR GAS! (Did I mention he was on OXYGEN?) Bill came out unable to breathe and dropped to all fours choking... Police ordered him to get up but he obviously could not. They surround him and shot him with rubber bullets. Bill falls sideways unable to move or breathe now.... and they follow up with tazing him . Bill spent 4 days in the HOSPITAL, and has been in jail over 300 days now, FOR DOING NOTHING! Bill's income has been cut. He has requested 3 times for indigent status.... 3 times the Judge has ignored it. His first trial was a DEADLOCK. His second trial was to start last Monday.... The Judge CANCELLED COURT AND RE SET THE DATE FOR MARCH! Many times they have offered to let Bill free if he would just plead guilty. BILL WILL NOT PLEAD GUILTY TO SOMETHING HE DID NOT DO!
