In the past decade, protections for waters of the United States have been stripped away by the Supreme Court. Their EPA's rule, now under public comment, will restore Clean Water Act protections that have been lost for 55% of Illinois waterways. Clean water is necessary for public health, recreation, business, and for our children's futures.

We want Hassan Rouhani President of Iran to free a US prisoner. As he attends UN talks and makes calm claims and thanks the world for their alliances to eradicate "terrorism" he leaves clear messages in his speech and actions that expose his real intentions. In his speech he states that the world must do everything it can to stop terrorism and makes it clear that as long as tiny fractions exist the world should be in fear... so in cryptic language he is saying basically there is nothing you can do to stop them and the terror they seek to project. And he clearly holds an American in prison that is beaten and treated terribly for 2 years. Cut the crap, send a clear thank you to the world’s leader in fighting terrorism and free an innocent US citizen.

The Houston Texans have had only two winning seasons. They have had 3 head coaches over 12 years and the current Texans jersey holds a loser's mentality. As an international student with an East Asian background first enrolled in MCPS in 2011, I acknowledge that the Jewish New Year is one of the official holidays in the school district; however, Lunar New Year, one of the most significant holidays appreciated by East Asian cultures, is not. I understand MCPS has a growing Asian population and I wish this petition could persuade MCPS to adopt Lunar New Year as one of its official holidays.
