Help make equality a reality for all Ohioans1 Governor John Kasich doesn't agree with you and me, and has a long record of prejudice on this issue. Aside from opposing marriage equality, last month, in amazingly fast flip flop, John Kasich went from being "okay" to "no way" on civil unions in a matter of hours. His flip-flop shouldn’t come as a surprise to Ohioans. Kasich has a long anti-LGBT record, beginning with his time in Congress, when he voted to ban adoptions by gay parents, and supported the Defense of Marriage Act and the military's now defunct “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that ruined so many good soldiers', sailors' and marines' careers and lives. . Delaware became the 11th state to move forward and make marriage universally available to couples of the same gender as it has for centuries to heterosexual couples OHIO needs to be the 12th state. But our regressive governor doesn;t see it that way nor does he act that way. Some in the OHIO House are even more regressive than the Governor. We know where this issue is going. It isn't cysorclical. There will be universal recognition of gay marriage eventually, so why not now? OHIO next and then the Federal Government so that the rest of the states come on board in a swoop - or swish (sorry, it just came out).

I'm Kidney Failure Patient 100% dependent on Dialysis. I'm looking for a Living Donor to Donate a Kidney to me. I haven't found one person willing to be tested. There's not enough awareness about being a Living Organ Donor. The Donor will need at lease 6 weeks off work after the surgery. In these days most people can't afford to be without pay for 6 weeks. So we have people like myself waiting on a List, or die waiting on a List for our number to come up.

This is the second Florida nursing home i've worked in that's been taken over by a corporation. Corporate takeover affects each and every one of us-staff and patients. The first thing corporations do, without any knowledge about caring for people, is to clean house. This is a people and not product-centered industry. We need to look at more than just numbers and figures on a piece of paper. As long as Corporate America is in charge, staff will continue to be overworked, underpaid and patients will continue to receive care that is sub-par!

Leaf blowers are adding unnecessary noise pollution to the environment and robbing people of their right to peace and quiet. Typically they are used in park like settings, where people are going to get away from all the noise to begin with. They are so loud that the sound cuts right through my walls and disrupts my business. The non stop noise is driving me batty.

Senator Max Baucus recently voted against a bill to expand background checks for gun purchases. 79% of Montanans and an even higher percentage of the rest of the country supported this bill. Senator Baucus has since said he would listen to what Montanans have to say about this issue and would take that into consideration if the bill is re-introduced for a vote. What's even more disturbing about Senator Baucus' "no" vote, is that he has stated that he will not be running for re-election in 2014 and has decided to retire. It's unconscionable that Senator Baucus and the rest of Congress can't even pass this one little step to address the issue of the horrible gun violence that has infested this country.

Its about a minority of Republicans in league with their corporate benefactors using tricks to hold onto power at the expense of the people and destroying our democracy. Its criminal and against the precepts of our Constitution. They must be impeached and the people must petition their rights to save themselves and our country.

Testing cosmetics on animals should be stopped immediately because there are alternatives that are more accurate. Millions of animals loose there lives a year because of animal testing.

Sick of Congress treating themselves like royalty and sticking it to those who vote them in to office. Congress should never vote on their own pay/benefits package. Pay, Raises, Benefits are to be put on ballots and only the people, who elect them, decide what they are worth. Most of our problems stem from bills Congress has enacted or vetoed. All Americans are losing something and Congress should be the first to feel the pain, not the last.

Borrowers government bail out program: HAMP1 and Hamp2 and Department of Justice foreclosure prevention programs are a presidential public relations fruad. We seek to make Home foreclosure's avoidance mandatory and its qualifications/requirement for its applicants non contingent and enforceable under law. We seek an immediate freeze on all home foreclosures, a reversal of all home property sold at a foreclosure sale and the return of the property to its rightful owner. Bank of America and other national lenders are refusing to provide home loan modifications under the HAMP1 and HAMP2 and Department of Justice guidelines because Obama made a typically useless program which has no teeth for its enforcement. Regardless of how these Loan Modifications programs are defined unless they are non contingent they will never be justly provided. Therefore we demand a freeze on all foreclosures and the unconditional right of homeowners to receive a home loan modification.
