I am a proponent of fair trade. A while ago I noticed Starbucks was brewing fair trade coffee only once a week, and now, not at all. I am writing this petition in hope that Starbuck's will support fair trade everywhere.

The BLM is rounding up all the wild horses and selling them to buyers from slaughter houses. It is costing millions of dollars. They kill many horses just in the course of the round-ups. Horses are run until their hooves break off, until pregnant mares give birth, until foals and others are injured and have to be destroyed. Thirteen foals were lost in a single round up in Nevada last winter. The BLM does not have the facilities or the money to maintain the thousands of horses they have imprisoned. The animals are not properly cared for. Stop this senseless slaughter of innocent wild creatures! Enforce the Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971. Stop the BLM !

Republicans have been abusing the filibuster, requiring 60 votes to get practically anything passed in the Senate. Americans have voted for Democrats to control the Senate, not Republicans. I want to reinstate democracy in the Senate.

Why aren't ALL facets of federal elections (voting rules, voting machines/software, etc.) under federal jurisdiction? These issues that affect the entire country should not be decided by local politicians and should not be outsourced to private corporations! It's time to create a law!

Obstructionists did not do their work for which they were hired in the House of Representatives. Filibustering to fiddle away the House bills without passage by debate, compromise concurrence and completion is self-evident of their failure. Their obdurate, intransigent, obstinate obstructionism has been deliberately perpetrated for four years against their employers, their voting constituents (not the non-voting corporations), who employed them to legislate laws they could not for themselves, for their common benefit .This deliberate violation of their contract of duty.to legislate requires the Representatives in the House their fair and just return of their unearned salaries of the past four years..

My family is going through immigration issues, i am really upset because not only in my family have we been forced to be separated from our parents or other loved ones, but also my friends and their families are going through hard times. These are people who are here in America working day to day, they contribute to paying their taxes and worry about their children's future.We need to convince congress, president and all people to make a change for better not worse.

Dogs and cats are killed in the cruelest ways imaginable, because many South Koreans believe the myth that the more an animal suffers, the tastier the meat and that the medical properties will be enhanced. Thousands of cats are also slaughtered for soups and so-called "health" tonics. They are thrown into boiling water or put in pressure cookers WHILE STILL ALIVE.

The HIV treatment and prevention landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years, thanks in part to the support of members of Congress. We know the end of HIV is in sight, but we haven't crossed the finish line yet. Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AAs and NHPIs) are still the least likely race or ethnicity to get tested for HIV--even in a world with health care reform, a unified National HIV/AIDS Strategy, and promising new approaches to HIV treatment and prevention. We think that's unacceptable. And it won't help us "end HIV" for our communities. This World AIDS Day (Dec 1), challenge your Senators or Representatives to stand up for AAs and NHPIs in the fight to end AIDS. Remind them to be our advocates when making HIV and public health policy decisions. Because AAs and NHPIs get HIV, too. And WE COUNT!

From an old and busted voter registration system, to voters being turned away after standing in line for an entire day, voting in America is ridiculously hard. We're ashamed, and by 2014, we demand our elected leaders make it easier for citizens to cast their votes.

When we leave our jobs we get a pension that we payed into. Why should taxpayers continue paying these people when they no longer hold their seats. It's bad enough they can control their salaries, and give themselves nice raises. If this could be stopped it would help the Economy. There is too much money being handed out for nothing.
