Bryan Fischer of the American Family Organization has called for an "Underground Railroad" to "rescue" children from same sex marriages. This is not only disturbing but it might even be illegal. There certainly are people out there ignorant and crazy enough to follow Fischer's decree. Presidant Obama was asked on ABC if he would also use the health care program for him and his family and he totally ignored the question and never answered . Then the same question was asked to the Congress and the Repreasentatives and they said they would think about it . This happened the other day and today the Congress voted that they be exempt from the health care program . Democratic officials and candidates routinely refer to Republican tax plans as "reverse-Robin Hood" plans. Intellectually I understand what that means, but what is the imagery? Robin Hood walking backwards? Robin Hood on standing on his head? I've really no idea. Shouldn't the words they use evoke a visceral response in their audience?

On July 28, 2012 The New York Times published an investigative article on noise, revealing that high decibel levels in restaurants and clothing stores, to name a few, make patrons consume more and consume faster. Noise has been linked to increased hypertension and heart disease. As a teacher of voice and ear training, I am seeing the day to day damage inflicted by corporate greed on youg eardrums and vocal folds. We are calling on corporate America to stop putting employees and patrons at risk in the name of greed. We are calling on them to reduce the decibel level intheir establishments.But repeated exposure to loud noise often damages hearing and has been linked to higher levels of stress, hypertension and heart disease.
