Roseanne Barr over the years has faced heavy criticism for her racism, homophobic, anti-Semitism, and hate speech. Enough is enough of the hate pouring out of her mouth on the national stage. Many drivers on Route 27 speed onto Floral Ave during rush hour to avoid the traffic of town center. This is a blind corner and located in a residential area near an elementary school, so there are often pedestrians. The cars can't see oncoming cars or pedestrians until the last moment. This poses a significant risk to local residents.

I am a big fan of basketball, and I've appreciated how on numerous occasions, the National Basketball Association has exemplified an openness to support players' and coaches' First Amendment rights to address important political and social issues. The league supported LeBron James and his teammates' protest of police brutality. The league has supported players speaking up about mental health issues. Some coaches are more outspoken against Donald Trump's extreme policies of nationalism, racism, and hate than most elected Democrats. That's why I was horrified when I learned that in light of the National Football League's (NFL) terrible new national anthem policy, the NBA's policy is even worse: mandating that all players, coaches, and trainers must "stand respectfully" for the anthem. The deputy commissioner even went so far as to send a memo prior to the the 2017/2018 season to all teams, notifying them that they "do not have discretion" to waive the rule for their players and staff. Recently, Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr criticized the NFL's new policy: "They’re just playing to their fanbase, and they’re just basically trying to use the anthem as fake patriotism. Nationalism, scaring people, it’s idiotic, but that’s how the NFL has handled their business. I’m proud to be in a league that understands patriotism in America is about free speech, about peacefully protesting, and our leadership in the NBA understands that the NFL players who were kneeling, were kneeling to protest police brutality, protest racial inequality. They weren't disrespecting the flag or the military, but our President decided to make it about that." This is well spoken by Kerr, but it rings hollow because it's not true. Long before Colin Kaepernick, the NBA dealt with its own high-profile anthem controversy. Forward Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf didn’t stand for the song in 1996, because he views the flag as a symbol of oppression. As a result, Abdul-Rauf was fined $31,707. And to this day, they have an explicit policy against kneeling during the anthem.

Because this is an appalling violation of immigrants' human rights.

Over the past year, the candidates have run positive campaigns based on our shared values. We commend the candidates for their positivity and camaraderie. Negative attacks by candidates or by outside groups are likely to lead to additional negative attacks from all directions as candidates fight back to protect themselves. This would change the entire tenor of the Primary and weaken the Democratic nominee against John Faso. This is truly the most important election of our lifetimes, and Democrats must commit now more than ever to standing unified and empowered against attempts to divide us.

Music on hold is not a new technology. Thousands, maybe millions, of companies have figured it out decades ago. There are many things people do not object to listening to: news, weather, nature sounds, computer tips, or just synthesized recordings that let you know you are still connected. However, Apple seems to think that forcing their best customers to endure listening to a playlist of ear-shattering crappy noise is the way to maintain their image. It sucks. And if you complain to the people who provide the world's best tech support for the world's best products from the world's largest company, they tell you that there is nothing they can do about it, but you can go to a feedback page on their web site. Been there, done that, . dozens of times. It's time for a better way to get the attention of the C-level at Apple.

Trump and the NFL have allied to snuff out freedom of speech. It is time to take our values back. If criminals and the mentally ill have unfettered access to firearms, the rest of us should have unfettered access to the 1st Amendment. If not, we are now Russia, China, Iran, North Korea...

I know countless people with illness weather mental, physical, or both including myself in which I have both will benefit from the medical use of Marijuana. Personally I'm in pain everyday from fibromyalgia and muscle spasms and have mental issues like PTSD, Social Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder; I've been on countless medications none seems to completely work then I tried Marijuana .. I had less pain and next to no muscle spasms and my mind was at rest and I was calm and clear headed and not so jumbled. I've asked a lot of people who I know that has some kind of issue and use Marijuana in moderation in how they feel afterwards with there illness, I've gotten all positive remarks.

My son is 12 years old and I do not want him living in a country where teachers, who are already underpaid and undersupported doing a vital and necessary job, have to die to protect our Children. This has to stop.

The culture war over gun control has hijacked the issue of school shootings, and turned it into a political issue. But because media coverage is the cause and not guns, lives will continue to be lost as long as the real cause is not addressed due to the gun issue distraction. I want to save lives by putting the blame where it belongs, on the media, and legislate restrictions to the coverage to stop the killings.
