Gas lawn equipment is close to emitting the same the amount of smog created by vehicles. They also have high noise pollution which creates stress.

I travel hwy 349 at least two times a day and the grooves in the road are terrible. It thows vehicles into other lanes and is becoming a safety hazard.

Motel 6—which is controlled by the CEO of the Blackstone Group, one of Donald Trump's biggest supporters—is suspected of calling ICE to report undocumented guests.  As the owner of Motel 6 and several other national hotel chains, Blackstone Group must ensure this disturbing practice is not being used against hotel guests anywhere. Employees at two Motel 6 locations in Arizona, where more than 20 arrests by ICE have been made in recent months, confirmed rumors, telling local media: "We send a report every morning to ICE -- all the names of everybody that comes in."  Let that sink in for a minute.  Motel 6 is literally taking money from immigrant customers, and then calling immigration agents to come round them up, jail them, and deport them if they can find a reason. This is unacceptable.  Adding insult to injury, Motel 6 has released a statement claiming this was an isolated incident and the practice "was discontinued." That's it. No change in policies, no employees disciplined, no increased oversight.  We can't let Motel 6 get away with these anti-immigrant practices. Demand that Blackstone Group ensures none of their hotels are cooperating with ICE.  Together we can show callous companies and CEO's that they are not above basic decency.

Edder Rizo Sanchez, a young immigrant in South Carolina, was detained on November 12, 2017 despite having DACA. Edder has been in detention ever since. After detaining Edder, ICE called United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to have his DACA revoked on November 17, 2017. The fact that ICE is working in collaboration with USCIS is unacceptable. Because of ICE’s collaboration with USCIS, Edder is away from his family in a detention camp. Leticia (Edders mother) has been heartbroken but has hope that Edder will come home to her. They have called this country home since Edder was three years old. Edder has been a pillar of support for his family and losing him to deportation would be devastating. This has been the first time Leticia and Edder have been separated. Now their dreams have been placed on hold. Help Leticia bring Edder home where he belongs.

Jorge has a story like so many immigrant stories: one filled with hard work, strong ties to his community, and love for his family. He has cooperated with the government, paid taxes, and has no criminal record. We have been hearing stories like Jorge's over and over again. This must stop. When immigrants arrive as children, attend our schools, and grow up as an American, they should be allowed, when adults, to make the decision to stay or return. It should be their choice! This is humanitarian. His wife and children have always lived in the US and him leaving would be extremely difficult for them emotionally and financially. We ask that you help them to stay together.

The electoral college has become an impediment to our democracy. We should be electing our president through a simple majority vote.

Families shouldn't be broken up, and America needs to be a more welcoming nation, especially to those who do good.

I, like many other 15-17 years olds have a part time job. My job does not pay us minimum wage. Having enough money to be able to put some away and to save out for other activities should be available to anyone that has a job, part time or full time.

America was built on dissent. America was built on debate. America was built on freedom of speech. To suggest that it is treason to show a lack of support for the president or what he says is an attack on our way of life and breaks down the possibility for civil discourse and disagreement over policies. We must demand a higher moral standard from those who represent us. We must expect those who lead us to aspire to a greater and more just nation. Allowing Trump to make these baseless and dangerous accusations puts all of us at greater risk. As President Roosevelt said, "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." We deserve a president who will build upon the greatness of those who have come before us to lift us up higher, not a president who will tear down anyone and anything in service of his own glory.

I am an American and this administration is attacking our democracy.

I am a N.C. citizen who cares about what happens to our environment and economy. I was devastated to learn of the Trump administration's plan to open the oceans off all coasts of the U.S. to offshore drilling, and the seismic air gun blasts that precede it. I was, of course, deeply concerned for my home state. Seismic air gun blasts can be devastating to marine life...everything from oysters and scallops to turtles and whales. The oil spill risk, by itself, should be enough to frighten anyone. Did we learn nothing from the BP oil spill? Governor Roy Cooper said, "Protection of our beaches, sounds and marine life is vital to ensuring a robust coastal economy." And I agree with Gov. Cooper. We must keep our Ocean waters clean and healthy for a thriving economy and a sound environment. Please join me and say "NO!" to offshore drilling!!!

I am an insurance broker in Virginia, Maryland and DC dismayed by the lack of options available to individuals and families who don't receive health insurance through their employment. Many of the large insurance companies have withdrawn from the marketplace while continuing to sell the more lucrative employer sponsored group plans. They shouldn't be allowed to cherry pick profitable business while failing to serve the general public.
