• SAVE PROPOSITION A and STOP OIL DRILLING IN OUR OPEN SPACES
In the early and mid 90's Proposition A which was sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors was passed by a majority of the Los Angeles County taxpayers. Part of Prop A a park proposition was used for acquiring land as Open Spaces and to keep it that way for perpetuity (forever) and for upgrading parks. Now, the Whittier City Council wants to turn the Open Space land into an oil field. They are trying to change the "land use" for the land which was purchased with Prop A money. If Whittier is successful then all Open Space land that was purchased with Los Angeles County Prop A money can have their land use changed to oil fields. This could have a ripple effect throughout the State of California by allowing land use changes on land in the State that was purchased with similar propositions. On October 29, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will be having a Public Hearing on Prop A. The purpose of the hearing is to get public input on changing the "land use" into an oil field. WE OPPOSE THE OIL PROJECT AND LAND USE CHANGES. We urge you to attend the meeting if at all possible. In the event you cannot attend you can make your comments on this petition and it will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has the power to stop this project. Can't Drill Can't Frack. Location: Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration Executive Office of the Board Room 383 500 West Temple Street Los Angeles, Ca. 90012

  • Recycling at Five Guys Fast Food Restaurant
Almost all of the packaging used at Five Guys is paper; paper bags, paper french fry containers, paper napkins, etc.; but all of it is just thrown away. If the option to recycle was introduced into the Five Guys restaurants, paper waste could be almost completely abolished. This would not only save considerable landfill space, but also reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

  • President Obama: Prevent Climate Chaos and Adopt the Solutions Project
The Solutions Project has plans on how to use cost-effective, clean, renewable energy using current technology to power the country. Shovel-ready projects are already available for the states of California and New York with plans for the remaining 48 states coming fast on their heels. Humans face an unprecedented choice: we either adopt this plan to secure a planet for our children and grandchildren or we can do nothing and continue burning fossil fuels which will guarantee climate chaos .

  • No fracking in Allegheny, PA Parks!
Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald is planning on allowing fracking on or under our parks. Fracking our parks would industrialize land reserved for recreation and relaxation, bringing dangerous and polluting infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations and truck traffic right through our community's public spaces. Fracking is destroying communities around Pennsylvania. We need to keep this dangerous practice out of Allegheny County parks.

  • President Obama: Help stop the chemicals in the environment and indoors in Minneapolis, MN.
I am allergic to these toxic chemicals which are very painful and disabling. It is getting very intense for myself, my friends, acquaintances and others. I am not taken seriously by the Authorities. These chemicals get into the Respiratory System then, according to Dr. Raymond Singer, a neurologist, the chemicals get into the Nervous System to cause excruciating pain and disability, as stated in his article, Recognizing Neurotoxicity. The chemicals also get into in Vital Organ to disable and cause death. Plus, these chemicals get into Pathway from the lungs to all parts of the body plus the pressure points. These chemicals attack the body to appear as natural causes, for example, cramping, itching, needle like, dart like, spark like, throbbing, sharp and intense pain, burning pain, vibrating in a circular motion, intense drop like, heat, cold, instant sleep, nausea and dizziness, another chemical that causes a lot of pain in the vagina, on the head and on the back, attacks the brain cells to be forgetful and displacement. some of these symptoms can be applied all parts of the body and cause disability and pain. These can be topical or go though the Respiratory System to all parts of the body. For example, starting with the head, top of head, right and left side, back of head, sides of temple, forehead, hairline to the front around the face, eyes, eye lashes, corner of eyes, back of eyes, inside to the front of eyes, (causes blood red spots) watering of eyes, pain in eyes, blurring, nose, nostrils, entrance of nostrils, eyelashes, eye brows, between eye brows, cheeks, between nose and lips, lips, chin, jaws, teeth(front upper and lower plus the whole mouth or individual tooth tongue, inside of cheek, throat(burning and itching turning into a cough that never stops going into bronchitis and pneumonia, upper chest, chest(double needle causing very high blood pressure, this can kill someone with a heart problem), middle of chest, left and right breast, under arms towards breasts, shoulders, upper arms, elbows, lower arms, wrists, palms of hands and top of hands plus all fingers and under nails, stomach, inside of stomach, spark like in stomach, lower tummy. uterus, vagina(more that 20 fumes, between leg and vagina, anus, buttocks, under buttocks, back of thighs, thighs, front of knees, knees, lower front leg, side of legs, ankles, back of feet, top of feet, under feet and toes, toes, big toes, under nails, inner feet, and it goes on and on. All the parts can experience the symptoms I listed above. These chemicals that are created, are focused to any part to disable and cause death to Human Beings and animals. It is urgent to stop the behaviors to destroy life and pollute the environment. We need clean air for Humanity and the future generation. Now, is the time to do a proper Investigation to retrieve the chemicals for testing and assessment, because the authorities have more information about the chemicals in the environment and indoors. Thus, stopping this behavior in Minneapolis, MN, will stop it in all States of America and countries around the World.

  • Suwannee County say's "NO" to Toxic Waste
The pristine natural resources of North Florida's historic Suwannee River, a nearby rare karst spring, agriculture, livestock, and the people's health are threatened by a planned medical waste incinerator’s burning thousands of pounds of medical waste per day. According to the EPA, the emissions will include acid gases such as sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride, as well as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, cadmium, lead, mercury, dioxins, furans, and particulate matter. Unfortunately, our local county commissioners have recently voted on amendments authorizing special exceptions and special permits which have relinquished the Board's rights to hold public hearings and the public's voice to be heard in the matter of use of the land where this medical incinerator is to be built. We ask that the Suwannee County Commissioners reverse their previous decisions regarding land use rights and regulations for the catalyst site. Please help us stop this threat and injustice! Thank you for your support.

  • Maine BEP: Don't let mining pollution ruin Maine's clean water!
Maine's clean water is our most valuable asset. Our clean rivers, lakes, and groundwater support our health, our outdoor way of life, and our fishing, guiding, and recreation jobs. Last year, lawmakers rewrote Maine's sulfide mining laws potentially paving the way for new mines across the state. The Board of Environmental Protection (BEP) is accepting comments on the rules through October 28th. We must let them know that Maine people find it unacceptable to sacrifice our clean water and that mine companies must be responsible for paying ALL clean-up costs. Please sign this petition to add your voice today! We will deliver the petition with our comments to the BEP.

  • We don't know if Harbor Point families are safe!
We’re concerned that the Harbor Point developers are considering piercing a cap that holds potentially dangerous chemicals right next the Fells Point neighborhood. The community, local businesses, and workers around the formerly contaminated site haven’t gotten all the information we want about this plan before it goes forward. That’s why we need an outside, independent investigation of the potential costs of developing Harbor Point.
