Vote To Make Puerto Rico a Free Sovereign NationUnder the administration of Spain and America, I see my people dying and collapsing under economical hardships and an island mandated by so many regulations that it is virtually impossible to have an economy. The people of Puerto Rico have endured political oppression and psychological warfare created to divide the people by separating the island into sects set on propaganda and political denominations bent on selling our cultural identity for a couple of U.S.dollars. We need Puerto Rico to be free. The U.S. needs to guide us to help us build our economy, then watch it grow.315 of 400 SignaturesCreated by ramon aponte

Senator Stabenow - Support our President and the Iran Nuclear AgreementWe have lost enough lives and brought back too many wounded vets to let the possibility of diplomatic action pass us by. The President and his staff have worked hard to broker an agreement in Iran which may make it possible to avoid further conflict - please give it your full support.36 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cliff Yankovich

Praise diplomacy starting with the Iran dealI have worked for 30 years to bring the risk of nuclear war to the public. This agreement with Iran can become a major breakthrough toward ending the nuclear era, too long characterized by MADness (Mutual Assured Destruction). Next steps will be to bring the same international determination to the elimination of nuclear capabilities in all nations. May it be so.89 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David C Hall MD

Approve the Iran AgreementI am a 74 year old veteran who served in the US Air Force for 28 years. I am starting this petition because I have seen my country engage in too many unnecessary wars. This agreement is the best (and perhaps the only) way to prevent a costly war with Iran.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Allan E. Hastings

Thank You for Supporting the Iran Nuclear ProposalWe have watched decades of death and destruction in the middle-east. This initiative can be the start of an alternative process and can lead to civilized resolution processes for other conflicts in the region. It must be encouraged.55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Glen Mowrer

Pursue peace with IranMake no mistake, this is a good deal. It will block Iran’s pathways to nuclear weapons, provide for rigorous and unprecedented inspections, and eliminate a major security threat without resorting to war. Congress will now have two months to review this deal, and already some hawks are declaring they will do everything they can to kill the deal. We have already seen some of Washington’s most powerful special interests unleash multimillion dollar campaigns to join anti-diplomacy Members of Congress in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.169 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ron Mills

Senator Shaheen: Support the Iran Nuclear AgreementThe agreement is going to need solid Democratic support to make it through a hostile congress eager to rob President Obama of this achievement. We Democrats need to stand firmly behind the president.50 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tom Vachon

Debt relief for Greece! We note, with compassion, that the innocent People of Greece should not have to suffer austerity consequences of others' corruption. In the spirit of democracy, we encourage the IMF and European Union decision-makers, especially Chancellor Angela Merkel (despite German law(s) preventing debt reduction--law(s) which could be adjusted), to use the provision in the recent "Bailout Agreement" for restructuring Greece's debt, to not only restructure timelines and/or interest rates, but to also restructure by granting debt forgiveness. Debt forgiveness ("haircut"/reduction) of a significant portion of the debt would be contingent on Greece continuing to show its good-faith cooperation and promise of adherence to the terms of the Agreement. With such adjustment, it is deemed that Greece's People will not suffer even more extreme hardship and that the economy of this beautiful and historic "cradle-of-civilization"--and first democracy--will make a hopeful turnaround, thereby being a greater asset to the European Union. In the throes, it is suggested as an aside that those having caused the economic problems in Greece via corrupted practices be censured and/or prosecuted - and made to pay appropriate amounts-due toward the debt.
