When the People petition Government, Government should honor it!This petition is being started to remind the Congress of the United States of America that when we petition it, the Executive Branch or the Judicial Branch of Government, that our petition is honored as the First Amendment to our U.S. Constitution so dictates. Too many times our petitions go unanswered, or sometimes altogether ignored by Government - at Every Level. And when Government FAILS, willfully or otherwise, we should call them on it - And remind them why they serve at our elected pleasure. Thank you for your support and interests. Please kindly share this petition with all in your circles... US Justice Dept Needs To Investigate Los Alamos Cover-UpUnless workers feel safe to report practices that put themselves, the environment and surrounding communities at undue risk, or subjects taxpayers to unnecessary expenditures and costs, there can be no meaningful accountability. This petition will require that officials stop ignoring the whistleblower retribution that is standard practice at the Los Alamos lab. WGBH: OUST DAVID KOCH FROM BOARD OF TRUSTEES1.) CONFLICT OF INTEREST: Simply stated, Mr. Koch has a conflict of interests with WGBH. While Mr. Koch goes about his business - and believe me, everything Mr. Koch does is in the best interests of Mr. Koch and his predominantly carbon-negative fossil fuel companies which, taken individually or together, represent the worst of American industry and American climate change deniers. 2.) ULTIMATE POLLUTER AND CLIMATE-CHANGE DENIER: Mr. Koch and his predominantly carbon-negative fossil fuel companies which, taken individually or together, represent the worst of American industry and American climate change deniers. 3a.) WHAT'S THE DOUGH-BOY AFRAID OF, ANYWAY...? - HIDING BEHIND OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE "PRIVACY" - MORBID PRIVACY - AND A PUBLIC RELATIONS MASQUERADE - KOCH'S "GOOD TWIN": Mr. Koch's public relations schema has at least two parts: one is to be seen as a benevolent philanthropist, giving his largesse (Mr. Koch is a billionaire many times over) to: the arts, medical and biological research in addition to widely viewed, among others, public television programs like NOVA. Mr. Koch makes sure that the price of his giving is putting his name on everything that might be construed as a public good, from funding part of NOVA, to funding medical and biological research at MIT with his name on the door - Mr. Koch is an MIT alumnus. 3b.) WHAT'S THE DOUGH-BOY AFRAID OF, ANYWAY...? - HIDING BEHIND OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE "PRIVACY" - MORBID PRIVACY - AND A PUBLIC RELATIONS MASQUERADE - KOCH'S "EVIL TWIN": At the same time as the "good" Mr. Koch is highly visible promoting himself as the universe's gift to the arts, medical and biological research and other worthy causes, the "bad" Mr. Koch is conspiring, in not-so-conspicuous privacy and secured privacy with those, in addition to himself, who have - and will continue - to buy and pay for the government that is good for them, the 01%'ers. That is, Mr. Koch and his crony capitalists, banksters (remember everything that the banksters have given us since 2008 - none of it good?) believe that they should be free to go about their business, free to pollute our waterways, the very air that we breathe, the drinking water, in addition to the air that we breathe, that is the very stuff of live for humankind. 4.) KOCH ON THE WGBH BOARD IS LIKE HAVING THE FOX IN CHARGE OF THE HENHOUSE: Mr. Koch's presence on WGBH's Board of Trustees is a matter of letting the fox into the hen house and an obscenity. Mr. Koch gets mega-publicity, and is featured vocally and prominently - with his name on just about everything) when it suits his interests to promote his agenda to a public that, by design, knows very little about the organizations to which Mr. Koch belongs, the politicians, other plutocrats and members of governments at all levels - municipal, county, state and Federal - in support of the political agendas that he supports as the seemingly "good" David H. Koch. The "good" David H. Koch reaps the benefits of being perceived as a white-knight phlianthropist. In the meantime, the "bad" David H. Koch - aka Dark Matter and Dark Energy - is meeting in the dak, out of the light of day and the sunlight that, otherwise, would shine a light on the people that he meets with, in utmost privacy, the agendas and discussions that they have, the agendas that they promote. 5.) ELITE, "FATHER-KNOWS-BEST," CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, LEADERSHIP AND ISSUES OF ELITE MEDIA CONTROL INDOCTRINATION AND PROPAGANDA: WGBH has seen fit to ignore the considered opinions of over 300,000 petitioners in support of ousting Mr. David H. Koch from WGBHS Board of Trustees. The WGBH Board of Trustees, themselves financial, education and other elites in the Boston community think that they can just blow off the views of their "constituents" and viewers. Let's show them just how wrong they are - these hedge-fund billionaires and millionaires, these hedge fund managers, owners of capital management companies, presidents of universities, wealthy people who just KNOW what's good for all the rest of us and are gonna darned tootin' keep doing what they darned tootin' want to do, the public be damned. Let's, right here, right now, boycott WGBH, unfortunate as that feels like, to many of us, because these financial, hedge fund, capital and stock market managers, the wealthy and presidents of institutions of higher educatiion, "Just don't get it." They think that they are the high and mighty, that Mr. Koch is one of them, so we're talking about a matter of corporate governance here, as well. And they think they can do what they damned well please, with their PRIVATE public radio and television stations. Well, I don't know about you, but I think it's high time that we disabused them of that notion. I think it's time we got back to putting the "Public" back in public radio and television. Boycotting Mr. Koch and all of his products, businesses, affiliates, joint venture partners, suppliers as well as not contributing to WGBH, not watching their programs (there are alternatives, WBUR for radio and others), not patronizing their advertisers (since when did public radio and television have "advertisers," fer cryin' out loud) and, in general, not doing business with anyone, anything, any corporation (which, as J. Willard ("the Mittster) Romney pointed out, in his view, are really people, my friends [he said...] will begin to get their attention. Will this happen overnight and/or quickly? No, because these elites are stubborn and are convinced that they know what's good for you and I and they're not about to change , just because the like of you and I demand that they do. No, I don't expect change overnight. There's going to be much, much more to come in the days, weeks and months ahead. No, change will not come overnight because these folks are stubborn and they "know" they're right and they know what's good for you and I. But... It's a little bit like the farmer with his wagon and mule. One day,...6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dan Deren

Rank the VoteI am tired of letting big money campaign contributors narrow the field to 1 or 2 candidates before I even get a chance to vote! And my representatives care more about those big contributors than they do about us taxpayers. I want your help to change it and let the politicians know the current system is broken. Here's how RANK THE VOTE would work: When you vote, simply rank all the candidates you support in order of your liking. If you like the integrity and ideas of a candidate who “doesn’t have a chance!” because he doesn’t have big money support, you can cast your 1st choice for that great candidate, without "throwing away your vote." If that candidate does not get enough votes to stay in the running, your next choice gets your vote. So, for example, I may not like the big money candidate of my party, but I don't want to throw away my vote on a candidate without the support to win the general election. With a ranking system, my vote will be moved to my 2nd choice as soon as my 1st choice (the one who would really represent my views) is eliminated. Votes are counted by a process of repeated recalculation: each time the lowest vote-getter is removed and those votes are reassigned to their next highest choice – until a single winner is decided. Ranking eliminates primary elections, saving taxpayers millions. And it's the primaries where good candidates without a lot of money get eliminated. Most voters don't even vote in the primaries, so the candidates that truly care about constituents are eliminated before most of us cast our ballots. If we don’t demand change we will have more of the same – a government that listens only to campaign contributors – not taxpayers like you and me.51 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary MacLeod

REPEAL The U.S. Federal Reserve Act of 1913!This petition is being started because of the respect and admiration that I have for U.S. Representative Alan M. Grayson, Democrat-Florida, and former U.S. Representative Dr. Ronald E. Paul, M.D., Republican-Texas work on Auditing the U.S. Federal Reserve [Banking] System. Congressmen Grayson and Paul worked tirelessly for years, decades in fact, to get the U.S. Federal Reserve to open its books to the American people, it's Owners & Operators, but because the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve_Act , We The People of the United States of America are prevented from seeing what The U.S. Federal Reserve [Banking] System says and does, on our behalves, with banks and other financial institutions throughout North America and the World. I believe that this Act should be repealed so that We The People can see what the Federal Reserve is up to. (As they are hiding behind this Act.) Thank you for your time and interests, as well as your support in this petition per your signature. I invite and encourage you to look at the following links below, just Copy & Paste the links into your browser so you can see and read for yourself. And please, please, please SHARE this petition with all in your circles. Be well... No More Bribing Elected Government Officials With DonationsMy petition is about giving government back to the people by preventing big donations from rich individuals and corporations from influencing elections and government laws/policies. Funding: By federal and state governments, very small, equal percentage of gross incomes of all individuals and corporations. Ideally, such a petition would affect the next presidential election.55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by George Staehle

Life insurance companies delay payout after death of loved one up to 3 weeks. My husband died on May 24, 2015, since it was a holiday 3 day weekend, we had to wait until the following Tuesday to go to the funeral home to make final arrangements. May 24 was Sunday and my deceased husband was taken to the funeral home. Was Memorial Day weekend, so everything was closed. Waiting until Tuesday, May 26 was horrible enough, only to find out all 3 of his life insurance policies would not payout. 1 is contesting the claim and the other 2 would not pay for 2 weeks. The funeral home will not conduct any of our wishes without payment, so we stripped down the services to the bare minimum, the funeral will have no visitation, service or viewing. Which is very painful for out of towners. We stripped the cost down to $2,100. & paid with 2 credit cards. Although we had $11,000. We could not have the funeral the deceased wished for. This was cruel and unusual punishment to the entire family.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carol McDougal

America's rootsBeing born on the first president's birthday, the man that started it all, I knew from the beginning I was the one to do something. Being raised on Pennsylvania's own governor leaders farm, going to the very college he funded, having a great grandmother living in the retirement home he established, I am deeply rooted in this country's heart. Coming so close to death when I was 13, I should've been dead, God spoke to me. He said that I know how to change this country, that he kept me alive to do something, to disregard his intentions is ensuring all hell to break loose. Already at church, a pastor came upon me for my actions, telling me to come back so he can give me the rest of my lesson. I prayed to God so hard, a storm rolled in, the only business in the county that electric was knocked out was the one the pastor blasphemed against me in. I would deeply listen to what I have to say, for words on paper do not give credit due. There's a beckoning calling, get back to me for any hope..1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by steffen reeser

Bernie: Talk About Cutting the Bloated Pentagon BudgetOn May 26, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders formally announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. [1] Bernie presented a strong progressive agenda, including creating jobs by rebuilding our infrastructure, confronting the threat of climate change, and breaking the stranglehold of big money on our elections. But a key element of our progressive agenda was missing from Bernie’s announcement speech: cutting the bloated Pentagon budget. Bernie is right to say that when the super-rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes, it contributes to our obscene rate of child poverty. But it’s just as important to say that when our federal income tax dollars are diverted to wars, foreign military bases, and weapon systems that we don’t need, that contributes to our obscene rate of child poverty as well. We have a problem with the 1% on the revenue side, but we also have a problem with the 1% on the expenditure side. Raising taxes on the super-rich won’t reduce child poverty if we let the Pentagon gobble all the money. Urge Bernie to talk about cutting the bloated Pentagon budget in his stump speech by signing our petition. Tell the U.S. House: Drop Benghazi and get back to work! The attack on America’s diplomats in Benghazi, Libya in 2012 was a tragedy. We lost four of our finest public servants, and there are lessons to be learned from the incident. Instead of focusing on improving our diplomatic security, Republicans in Congress have turned the Benghazi investigation into a yearlong, $3 million taxpayer-funded political witch-hunt directed at Hillary Clinton. The U.S. House’s “Select Committee on Benghazi” has failed to produce a single actionable finding after wasting millions of taxpayer dollars. And yet, its chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) has already hinted that his “investigation” might not be done until right before the 2016 election! Our country faces enormous challenges, here at home and abroad. We have our work cut out for us. We should be focused on improving security for our diplomats abroad, and we can’t afford to keep wasting time and money on this political sideshow. Sign the Petition: tell Congress it’s time to end the Benghazi madness and get back to work!40 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Xavier Becerra
