Kansas legislators have recently passed a bill, in which the state's courts will only be funded in the event that none of them rule to overturn a previously passed law that limited the administrative authority of the courts. This is a clear abuse of power as the Kansas Constitution clearly states in Article 3 §1: "The judicial power of this state shall be vested exclusively in one court of justice, which shall be divided into one supreme court, district courts, and such other courts as are provided by law", The Kansas legislature and governor are in breach of this provision as they have attempted to interfere in judicial rulings. Since the legislature and governor were not acting within their constitutionally defined powers, I believe this also constitutes bribery using state funds under federal statute 18 USCS prec § 201(b) which is explained here http://bribery.uslegal.com/federal-laws-on-bribery/ As this is a particularly brazen example of bribery, I want to call on the president to seek the harshest penalties defined under the law, that the offending legislators and the Governor be disqualified from holding public office. Treasury confirmed on June 17 that Alexander Hamilton and not Andrew Jackson will be the first paper currency changed to reflect America's beautiful diversity. But how can the Treasury not see the hypocrisy in retaining an avowed racist on the $20? Andrew Jackson despised Native Americans. He coerced (or deceived) proud Native American tribes to move west of the Mississippi ("The Trail of Tears"). His actions triggered the death of over 46,000 Native Americans while fostering expansion of slavery in the South. Tell Treasury and Congress our currency reflects American values. Tell them their first change to currency should be the removal of Jackson from the $20.

On Thursday, June 18, with mostly Republican votes, the House passed a fast-track trade bill that would attempt to pre-approve the job-killing, environment-destroying, medicine price-raising Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, a week after a Democratic rebellion blocked the proposal in the House. Now the fate of this proposal lies before the Senate. The proposal will be blocked in the Senate if 41 Senators vote against “cloture” to proceed to a vote – that is, if 41 Senators support a “filibuster.” Populist champions Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Sherrod Brown have led the fight in the Senate against this proposal. Now we need them to pull out the stops. A “talking filibuster” – where Senators hold the floor, speaking against Fast Track - would galvanize public opposition to the bill. It would be a televised national town hall on how our current trade policies are worsening extreme inequality, undermining democracy and human rights, and giving more wealth and power to the 1% at the expense of broad public interests. Urge Senator Sanders to lead a talking filibuster against Fast Track by signing our petition.

The Jewish community needs to know we respect what happened during World War II we need to remove the Nazi Flag from all Public Display. Also the veterans of the great war and their families need to know we care about their sacrifice and their friends didn't die in vein.

Every American has been affected by this act of domestic terrorism. The state of South Carolina should lower all flags to half mast in honor and solidarity for all its citizens.

Senator Pan and Allen introduced SB277 to the California State Legislator, and if passed the bill would remove fundamental medical liberty. SB277 is written to guarantee future profits for the Pharmaceutical industry. SB277 is a threat to freedom and human dignity. This bill needs to be stopped and Pan and Allen must be removed from office.

The liberal media is doing its best to ignore the most viable candidate in the race, 80% of Republicans agree with Bernie Sanders on Citizens United and getting big money out of government. Sanders is surging in the polls. Moveon.org and other progressive organizations need to move on this, and support this amazing Presidential candidate.

House Bill 4052 would take power away from communities in order to protect corporate profits. Special interests shouldn't be allowed to overturn decisions they don't like made by local governments, but now they're trying to prevent local laws that reflect our values, like making our workplaces healthier and requiring community benefit agreements when taxpayer resources are used in development projects. Tell Gov. Snyder to veto HB 4052 and protect local progress today.

I am starting this petition because I am sick and tired of politicians not listening to their constituents, politicians going AGAINST our constitution,

the cable T.V. industry are a monopoly and utilize despicable business practices with no oversight

Our state is $400 million dollars in the red. The Kansas legislators spent close to $1 million dollars in overtime working on a budget. Really, spend more money when we already do not have any? The budget should have been taken care of in normal session. What were they thinking?

I have been a public school teacher for 16 years. I have dutifully paid my student loan each month for 14 years ( I had to defer for two years because my income was too low). My peers and I have been stuck in a legislative purgatory in which the patchwork of student loan bills that have been passed only address an exclusive number of borrowers. Even after 16 years of service and at the top of my pay scale, I still qualify for an income sensitive repayment plan. We need meaningful and inclusive change!
