New Hampshire Republicans are planning to institute a 30-day residency requirement for same-day registration for new voters. The state legislature should not be trying to prevent people from voting, so this law should not be passed.

I Live in North Bergen, NJ and worked in the school system there for a couple of years. The entire town is corrupted from town hall to the board of Education via the Department of Public works and the Police Department. I've been contacting the FBI, the white house etc... since 2011 and it's been going on for over 20 year, everybody is scared, we need help! I started speaking publicly about the situation 4 weeks ago and since then have found hundreds of supporters from teachers, school staff, the residents, students and even the police. But they all tell me the same thing, they are scared of retaliation if they support the change we ask for publicly. That's why I created a petition to The New Jersey State House, Governor Chris Christie, The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Barack Obama, which says: "North Bergen has turned into a corrupt system where everything is set in such a way that democracy has been annihilated as well as the principles supported by our constitution. The purpose of the proposed residency law bill is to block out-of-town students attending New Hampshire universities from voting in their college town. This would force students to use complicated and costly absentee ballots. Don't let a segment of our citizens be denied the right to vote.

One reason why democracy is the best form of government is because in a democracy more than one person gets to make decisions, which leads to better informed decisions. And one reason why monarchy is not as good because only one person can make decisions.

On Tuesday, May 12th, an Amtrak train derailed outside of Philadelphia and 7 people were killed -- and it could have been prevented. Modern technological advances, like Positive Train Control (PTC) which automatically regulates train speed, can keep trains from running off the tracks. But because of budget cuts, Amtrak can't afford to upgrade their systems with PTC. But just hours after this deadly crash, House Republicans voted to gut Amtrak of even more money. If Congress fully funds Amtrak with the resources it needs to upgrade their safety measures, tragedies like these won't happen again. I'm trying to save Logan Summerlin's life and prevent his sons from becoming orphans because of the arrogance of Bay Pines Regional Offices and the VA's St. Pete Medical Center campus. A decade is a long enough time to have resolved matters; still not, and he cannot afford a decade delay with his lung issues . Denying access to care and records abusing the words "classified" and "national security " has impeded a timely treatment plan. Send him to Walter Reed and USF for testing now. Time is not his friend. Urgent! Have the VA call and give his Pulmonologist five minutes of their time!

I am inspired every time I hear them speak. I don't feel that way when I hear the declared candidates speak. I don't think I'm the only one.

When men and women go to fight for us it is our responsibility to make sure they come home. There are some things we can not control many of them do not make it home alive, but it is still our responsibility to make sure they do come home. Our Government sent men and women off to war and have not held up their end of the agreement, many of them are still POW or MIA. This petition is to reintroduce H.R. 231 and I know we haven't forgotten about the men and women still not accounted for lets make sure our Government doesn't forget they still have a job to do.

I'm tired of billionaires and corporations buying our elections and our politicians. It's supposed to be "We, The People", not "We, Big Money". Citizens United is just wrong.

Let's bring a level playing field to politics by overturning Citizens United. We are ALL affected by this.

I believe that too much money and time is spent during election campaigns. If we want to have greater say in government, we need to get big money, ie. corporations, out of politics. This committee would be a first step in the process.

Many politicians and their staffers in Missouri use their positions as starting points to become high-paid lobbyists. The rules in Missouri on how long a person has to serve in public office or work for a politician in office as well as gifts and donations to politicians are the most lenient in the US. One politician didn't even serve his full term. He quit in midterm to become a lobbyist. There should be a minimum of 3 years waiting period with 5 being even better. Our state and country are being sold out due to greed. We need to take it back and stop the hijacking of our country.
