• Tell Ohio's Speaker of the House to Protect Absentee Voting
During an all-important presidential election year when turnout is at its heaviest, it is absolutely critical that all Ohio voters receive an absentee ballot application. In 2012, the first time that all voters received an absentee ballot application, approximately one-third of all statewide votes cast their ballots prior to Election Day, primarily by mail. Failure to provide for the money for this mailing is particularly troubling because the legislature prohibited the Secretary of State and local boards of elections from sending out unsolicited absentee applications with passage of SB 205 in 2014. The legislature designated itself as the sole gatekeeper for deciding whether all voters will receive absentee ballots applications in any given year.

  • Pass the Child Support Bill
Idaho families are at risk of losing child support funding after conservatives in the Legislature killed a measure that would have brought the state into compliance with federal rules. Gov. Otter and ID lawmakers must pass the bill before it's too late.

  • Tell the FEC: Investigate Bush and Walker
It appears that some 2016 presidential hopefuls are defying campaign finance laws and raising huge sums of money through Super PACs, 527s and other political committees disguised as sham nonprofits, by claiming they're not candidates or even "testing the waters." Governor Jeb Bush's Right To Rise Super PAC has set a fundraising goal of $100 million, but hasn’t said what for (I wonder!). Meanwhile, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker bragged at an event in Iowa: "You know, the process tells us that legally we have to say we are 'exploring,' because the minute you say something else, a whole series of things happen. So as we 'explore,' we will come back many more times." Supposedly they’re just private citizens raising millions and millions of dollars in donations. More likely, their real goal is to dodge contribution limits, coordination restrictions, and disclosure requirements meant to prevent corruption.

  • Election Day - create a new national holiday
Because we love America and our democratic way of life, election day should be revered and recognized as our most important national holiday.

  • Make Election Day a National Holiday!
Our government is being taken over by Big Money. Yet the vote will cancel out money every time. The low percentage of voters is a disgrace and embarrassing, but more importantly the results of elections these days do not reflect the majority of Americans and the policies that most Americans support. Just the talk of making Election Day a national holiday will start a conversation around voting.

  • "Senator Elizabeth Warren: No Warren No Vote"
With enough pressure on Liz Warren to run for President as you at MoveOn.Org has started I strongly believe she will participate in the primary process. Although she has stated over and over that she will not run, this past weekend she has indicated that she will be watching what Hillary has to say. The democratic party cannot afford to have voters stay home in 2016 and if we show the force we are, then this coming elections will not be bought and sold by Corporate America as it is threatening to be. Therefore, I will make a solemn pledge to not vote in 2016 if Ms. Warren does not enter into the Primary process. I am seeking the help of anyone who has expertise in setting up a website or blog to open up discussions on the topic.

  • Don't Flush Baltimore Families; Stop the Water Shut-Offs Now
Right to Housing Alliance is a human rights organization led by residents most impacted by the affordable housing crisis in Baltimore. The impact of water shut-offs on residents goes far beyond the lack of water. In Baltimore, homeowners can lose their homes to tax-lien foreclosures, and renters can be evicted for not paying their water bills, as they are often collected as rent. A home without water is not a home at all. We urge you to sign the petition to stop the water shut-offs, to ask for the largest commercial users to be targeted first, and to demand that we are the kind of city that ensures that access to basic human rights are a priority.

  • Recall Michigan Governor Rick Synder
I left Michigan for three years and came back in 2013 to find my state worse than ever. Then, the uninformed generations reelected the guy who started the downward spiral. Name one thing working in our state. Detroit had its water shut down (although the stadiums owed more in bills), South Eastern Michigan has a toxic algae growing bigger every summer, our roads and school are terrible, and every youth is moving out of state as soon as they can, taking future businesses with them. We need to recall Gov. Synder and get someone in for the people, not the profit.

  • Chicago: Buy Good Food for Our Kids!
    • The City should also move toward Food Justice Certification for all food suppliers and food service contractors. • The City should likewise increase the percentage of Minority- and Women-Owned Enterprises for all food-related contracts. • The Good Food Procurement Policy can be the means by which to satisfy the City’s goals of supporting businesses and social enterprises that produce and distribute healthy food, as put forth in the City’s “Healthy Chicago” program. • Work with the Chicago Food Policy Action Council to establish a technical committee to create the GFPP implementation process, including setting required guidelines to be met by food suppliers and service contractors in the areas of Environmental Sustainability, Valued Workforce, Animal Welfare and Nutrition. • Assign the Chicago Food Policy Action Council the authority to monitor City food contractors for compliance and provide the information needed for the City of Chicago to remove contractors for non-compliance.

  • Stop The Eradication and Slaughtering of Animals on Mauna Kea
I am starting this petition because Hawaiians Introduced the sheep and animals to the island for food. Now the environmentalists just use our tax money to fly a helicopter 2-5 times a month slaughtering these animals and letting them rot in the mountain. we have to think about our future and hunters and gatherers love to use the Aina to put food on the table for their families. Help speak for the animals
