• Shut Down the DEA
Everyday, instead of receiving the treatment we deserve, we are mistreated, bullied, abused, robbed, incarcerated, and sometimes killed by police fighting the war on drugs, from local police to federal agents at the DEA. Enough is Enough. We will never be able to eradicate drugs from this planet, it is not conceivable nor would most of us want to because these substances have beneficial, often medicinal value. The DEA's refusal to reschedule Marijuana, and their persistence in pursuing medical marijuana patients and their families is unacceptable and has damaged countless lives. Their draconian and unjust drug laws only target people of color and mentally ill drug addicts, and create black markets and organized crime. Stop wasting Billions of dollars a year on a war that you can not win. Let's put that Billions of dollars a year towards educating young people about drugs, without scare tactics, and treating addicts like the human beings that they are and help them to get the treatment they deserve. Kicking down our doors over a medicinal marijuana plant with a swat team is unacceptable and often dangerous behavior. Shut down the DEA now!

  • Anti-Workplace Bullying Bill
I have been bullied by fellow employees for years while management turned a blind eye. My immediate coworkers laughed in agreement of the verbal abuse, sometimes joined in and stated that they would not testify to the abuse if asked. The general consensus at work is that to advance in the workplace, you have to remain silent. Since victims cannot rely on the testimony of eye witnesses, they should be allowed to secretly record their abusers, especially if it involves management. There must be a way to root out bullying in government agencies.

  • Recall Congress House Reps
House Resolution 707 - Condemning all forms of anti-Semitism and rejecting attempts to justify anti-Jewish hatred or violent attacks as an acceptable expression of disapproval or frustration over political events in the Middle East or elsewhere. This is a BLATANT VIOLATION of our 1st Amendment Rights! Every Congressman who voted for this TRAVESTY has VIOLATED their Oath of Office, and should be RECALLED from Office, as they are unfit to serve! Amendment l Congress shall make NO LAW respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the FREEDOM of SPEECH, or of the PRESS; or the RIGHT of the PEOPLE peaceably to assemble to PETITION the Government for a redress of grievances. I urge everyone to sign this Petition or create their own Petition at MoveOn.org for the RECALL of these misguided Congressmen from their Offices for NOT upholding the Constitution of the United States of America. They have VIOLATED our sacred trust and should NEVER BE TRUSTED AGAIN!

  • Remove Debbie Wasserman Schultz as DNC Chair
Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz took control of the DNC in May of 2011. And while she has been comfortably “tucked in bed” in her own district, her complete lack of messaging and dissemination of available resources has cost us two consecutive congressional defeats. She also distanced herself from the President and his policies in the 2014 election. We got crushed. And now, what can only be described as the debacle of the Democratic debate schedule unfolds. The obvious structuring of this schedule and its limited number seem to prove Ms. Wasserman-Schultz has ulterior motives. We Democrats cannot have a person of such electoral criticality so compromised by her personal preferences, and ambition. Every second that this leadership is in place is another second the Democratic Party concedes congress to the Republicans. She never took any responsibility for her miserable failures in our previous two elections. Our current message in news cycles is invisible as is she. And I believe that this now even jeopardizes our crucial need to hold onto the White House in 2016. Honorable people who have failed so miserably in their mission would hurry to apologize and get out of the way. But apparently, Ms. Wasserman-Schultz’s hubris will not allow her to do so. Please sign this petition to remove Debbie Wasserman-Schultz as the DNC Chair.

  • Nominate an Attorney General Who Will Work for Average Americans
Eric Holder was caught by Matt Taibi letting big bankers off with slap-on-the-wrist fines for crashing the world economy. His association with the Covington & Burling, that played a major role in creating the MERS system that led to the Great Recession, is disturbing. He also admitted some banks are too big to fail. Mr. Holder has a blemished record. Ms. Lynch will uphold and build upon Mr. Holder's blemished record given that she worked for Wall Street-connected law form Cahill Gordon & Reindel and lobbying firm Hogan Lovells. Ms. Lynch's nomination has at least the appearance of being another pro-big business appointee - another fox guarding the economic chicken coop.

  • Democratic Voters DEMAND New Leadership in Congress
Since 2010, Democrats in Congress have been running scared. They lack a cohesive message and have been allowing Republicans to define the terms of the national debate. BOLD new leadership in Congress is required for Democrats to regain a majority in both the House and Senate in 2016.

  • Stop Conflict of Interest Appointment of Biotech Rep. Clift Tsuji to Chair Hawaii House Agricultu...
Appointing Rep. Clift Tsuji to Chair the Hawaii House Agriculture committee is a clear conflict of interest and breach of ethics. Rep. Clift Tsuji is a known chemical and GE industry proponent and has even been awarded Biotech Legislator of the Year as House Agriculture Chairman! He has taken over $15,000 from the chemical GE industry while Hawaii is being used as an open air genetic and chemical laboratory, and unless our legislators listen to us, he will be Agriculture Chair again. This is a clear conflict of interest and highly inappropriate to appoint Rep. Tsuji to the House Agriculture Committee Chairmanship.

  • Our taxes are not to destroy the Fourth Amendment.
I am concerned that the data being currently gathered will be misused by future administrations as our government becomes more and more secretive and abusive against our civil rights. The current seed of data gathering is similar to the census in Germany before WWII. This data created with the new IBM technology could subsequently be abused to identify all Jews and other enemies of the state and bring about the Final Solution.

  • Achieve the state of the art in voter registration and participation
The most important cause in the world is for people to have a say in their government. It is a disgrace that Kansas lags the state of the art in voter participation by over 50 percent. We can do better: let's make our Founding Fathers proud!
