In the February 24, 2015 municipal elections, violation of Illinois election law was rampant. The Chicago Board of Elections is either unable or unwilling to prevent illegal activities that affect the outcome of elections. Because elections are run by insiders for the benefit of insiders, we lack confidence that we can have our rights as US citizens protected by courts and prosecutors who are accountable to political insiders at the state and local level. As someone who has participated in elections in some capacity since 1997, the February 24, 2015 Chicago municipal elections was the first time I felt like the administration of the elections was so corrupt that it invalidated the outcomes on a widespread basis.

Tim Meegan has filed a legal challenge to the results of the February 24 election based on illegal acts by the Mell organization and its supporters. Without those illegal acts, Deb Mell would not have broken the 50% threshold that allows a candidate to avoid a run-off. Tim Meegan deserves to have his support registered in an election without cheating.

We need Progressive Senators. Removing the leader of the "Control Wall Street" caucus weakens our resolve to take back our government from tjhe 1%.

Transparency and disclosure have always been the bottom line of Virginia government. But a loophole in the "ethics reform" bill would allow legislators to accept flights, meals, and hospitality from corporate special interests at ALEC conferences with no limits and no sunshine. This is outrageous. The public's business should be conducted in the light of day. This gigantic loophole is specifically designed for corporate front groups like ALEC. House of Delegates Speaker Bill Howell serves on ALEC's national board and, according to media reports, pressured colleagues in the House and Senate to accept last-minute changes to the bill. Governor McAuliffe can close this loophole by amending the bill and sending it back to the General Assembly.

Senate Bill 541 has created a platform for Election Regulations that would allow more money into elections and take control away from WV voters. This would scare even more West Virginians away from participating in the political process. This is OUR State and we need to REMOVE the powerful influence of in-state and out-of-state Corporations and those that hide behind Non-Profit Organizations.

Too often the policies and governing philosophy of Governor Brownback conflicts with the needs and desires of the citizens of Kansas. Farmers are now being attacked, alongside teachers and members of the LGBT community. We the people have had enough! Taxes will be going up to protect the income tax reductions of over 333,000 pass-through businesses: totally unfair. The Governor wants to control the judicial system: totally unfair. The Governor wants to reduce services to every resident: totally unfair. The Governor has and continues to prevent the poorest of us from obtaining the protection of health care: totally immoral and unfair. The only option we have now is to place pressure on him to resign. Please sign this petition and I will personally deliver it after 50,000 signatures are obtained across Kansas.

I watched the documentary "Silenced" by James Spione and was appalled that our government could (and does ) use its power to harass conscientious Americans just for telling the truth about governmental abuses. Some are currently in prison for truth-telling! Petition signers should urge their representatives and President Obama specifically to release John Kiriakou from prison, and permit Edward Snowden to return to his homeland without being persecuted and prosecuted for whistle- blowing about abuses by our government. It is unconscionable that out government is using the same bullying tactics used early on against German citizens in Hitler's rise to power. If we want to retain our own civil rights, we must protect the civil rights of others in our country. They are being aggressively eroded ever since 9/11.

I believe that gerrymandered districts (which have rightly been ruled unconstitutional) are destroying our democracy.

There are some policies carried out by DHS that MoveOn members strongly disagree with. But shutting it down over one of the Obama administration's progressive reforms would be crazy and damaging.

Currently there is very little protection for animals in New York State. Dogs and Cats are not safe from their owner leaving them outside in extreme weather. It has been as low as -25 with the wind chill here in the past month and it is not illegal to leave pets outside overnight?! If someone calls the police and reports animal cruelty, there is no law making it illegal. Please don't stand by and let this continue to happen to voiceless animals; please sign in support of bringing pets inside!

The American people need to realize that we have been bamboozled out of our rights and we need to stand up and take them back. It's been proven in several Supreme Court cases to be unconstitutional to say that a driver's license inspection, sticker registration, and insurance are required for your personal private property. Reference ex-parte Dickey supra Where the West Virginia Supreme Court defines the difference between the right of the people to use their property on the highway and the privilege of using it for private gain.
