  • Limit old bloodlines and leadership bill
This petition will limit the amount of political power one or more bloodlines/ families hold in our political offices, so more agendas are looked at and listened to . This will keep the laws, agendas of political power, and ideas fresh and unbiased so that Americans feel there is strong social justice in our political and judicial justice systems. This will allow Americans to feel and perceive there's equal rights, hope, and peace more so than today. This will allow a more just feel to our system and will avoid political corruption whether existent or accused of in media resources, political resources, and figures of authority. This will promote more diverse presidency, economic, and political power. By adding your signature, you agree there needs to be change, not only within the United States but in the world and the way we conduct World Organizations and treaties on trades. This will open up more opportunities for lobbyists, small companies, large companies, and environmentalists to come up with new and fresh solutions to today's problems once again avoiding conflict with some countries, tributaries, and authorities in or outside of America.

  • Wilmington, DE Mayor Dennis Williams Needs to Go
Property values are dropping and companies are moving out of the city to avoid crime and are taking tax revenues with them. (Boy, I wonder who is going to make up that deficit? Maybe the ones who stay?) Crime is out of control and Williams' brainstorm was to introduce Coffee with a Cop. SERIOUSLY? Then Williams instituted a homicide unit, probably a year late. He also feels the need to bash articles and the media about calling the city Murdertown instead of addressing the issue. He can save faith by standing up, raising his hand, saying he is in over his head and needs some help.

  • Overturn Citizens United
Citizens United and other recent court decisions have opened the floodgates to big money influence in our democracy, giving special interests and the wealthy more control over our government and economy than they’ve enjoyed since the Gilded Age of the late 19th century. Backed by a geyser of money supplied by ultra-wealthy donors and corporations, radical right-wing extremists swept Senate and House races across the country. The domination of politics by corporations and the mega-rich is a profound threat to democracy and freedom in the United States, and we have to fight back. Now, together with more than 50 organizations, MoveOn.org and partners at Common Cause, Free Speech For People, Money Out Voters In, People For the American Way, and Public Citizen are working to gather five million petition signatures calling for an amendment. These millions of petitions will send a strong message to members of Congress, the media and general public. Sign your name and join the millions of Americans who’ve told their lawmakers to amend the Constitution and overturn Citizens United!

  • Virginia: Protect the property of residents from pipeline
Dominion believes that they are within their rights to trespass onto private property based on a Virginia state law. At any given time, a bunch of petroleum pirates can essentially impose on resident's property rights; and all they have to do is "let you know" that they intend to do so. The slippery slope fueled by greasy greed is almost scarier than the other dangers associated with fracking. This practice seems to all but eviscerate the 5th Amendment of the Bill of Rights, and could lead to a constitutional fractastrophe. We are calling on Governor Terry McAuliffe to sit down with property owners work together to scrap this law.

  • Benefits
I feel that our government officials have forgotten who they are. They feel that they have the right to make cuts to everyone besides themselves. If we didn't have to pay them their salary and medical benefits forever, they wouldn't need to cut Social Security or Medicare or retirement funds for those who need it the most.

  • End Secret Money in New Jersey
NJ voters across the political spectrum are angry that so much money - especiallyundisclosed money from outside the state - is being spent in our elections. In ademocracy, it is our right to know the amount and source of money spent either in favor or against a candidate or ballot proposition. These bills state that all aggregate contributions of $2,500+ and expenditures of $1,400+ must be fully disclosed. Free and fair elections require a voter’s ability to follow the money. If donations are not disclosed, any subsequent act of intimidation or “quid pro quo” corruption is likely to go undetected. Dark money in elections tempt interest groups of all stripes to engineer the outcome. Our NJ Legislature is already on the record in support of Constitutional Amendment to overturn Citizens United, the ruling that allows for free and unlimited spending by corporations in our elections. Since it will take a constitutional amendment to remedy the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, we must reduce the harm NOW by bringing all campaign contributions and expenditures into the light of day. Pass A227 and the companion Senate bill (which was S2616 in the last session) in time for our next election November 2015.

  • U.S. Representative Ron Kind: Denounce New Democratic Coalition's attacks on progressives
Numerous members of the New Democratic Coalition, an organization of pro-Wall Street and anti-middle class Democrats led by U.S. Representative Ron Kind of Wisconsin, recently launched attacks on progressive Democrats for opposing legislation to repeal many of the regulations in the Dodd-Frank bill that were designed to protect consumers who use our country's financial institutions. The New Democratic Coalition is one of the most influential organizations that compromise the Republican Wing of the Democratic Party. The New Democratic Coalition supports much of the same corporate agenda that the Republicans do, most notably deregulating Wall Street to put American consumers at the mercy of predatory banks even moreso than they are now and enacting free trade agreements to drive down wages, ship American jobs to foreign countries, and further destroy what little of our country's economic sovereignty remains. The fact that New Democratic Coalition members are openly attacking progressive-minded, pro-middle class Members of Congress for standing up for the American worker and consumer proves that they are more interested in dividing the party and serving special interests than making America a better place to live. Since U.S. Representative Ron Kind of Wisconsin is the Chairman of the New Democratic Coalition, it is his responsibility to denounce the divisive attacks on progressives from the members of his group. We, the signatories of this petition, are calling for Representative Kind to publicly denounce the New Democratic Coalition's War on Progressives.

  • Millions of Voices Against Citizens United, You in?
Five years ago this month, on January 21st, the Supreme Court handed down its infamous decision on Citizens United vs. FEC, threatening to tear apart the fabric of our democracy by granting powerful corporations and wealthy donors unfettered influence in our political process. That decision paved the way for unlimited corporate political spending. Fortunately, since Citizens United, a vibrant grassroots movement has formed calling for a constitutional amendment to limit the influence of big money in politics. More than 600 towns and cities, 16 states, and 200 members of Congress have gone on record in favor of amending the Constitution. In September of this past year the United States Senate debated a proposed amendment for a full week, with 55 senators voting to advance the Democracy for All amendment that would overturn decisions like Citizens United and McCutcheon. Now, together with more than 50 organizations, MoveOn.org and our partners at Common Cause, Free Speech For People, People For the American Way, and Public Citizen are working to gather five million petition signatures calling for an amendment. So far we have already gathered more than 3.7 million signatures. These millions of petitions can help create a powerful story – and a call to action – that can be shared with members of Congress, the media and general public. Will you add your name today?

  • CONGRESS AND SENATE MUST PAY INTO SOCIAL SECURITY
In their first day of convening, the US Congress is proposing to cut SS and Disability Benefits by 20%. They must change the Law so that they are also required to pay into a System that the rest of America contributes to. This action would be a positive impact in funding our SS Program. Their job is to represent of the Will of The People. It is TIME for us now, to DEMAND that the same Laws apply to them as the rest of America.
