I want my country back.

If Congress Along With The White House have to Live Off of Minimum Wage, Social Security, & Medicare/Medicaid like the Rest of Us Already do then Maybe they Will Raise the Living Wage & Leave the Rest Alone from Now On !!! They should not be Allowed to Work Less Then Three(3) Months Out Of The Year Either !!! The House takes the Entire Month of August Off As Well !!!

I like many Americans am growing increasingly, for lack of a better term "pissed of" with which the nature the elected officials of this nation have historically conducted themselves. Elected officials were put into office to be the voice of the people. Understanding there is a so-called democratic process, how could someone whom lacks the slightest idea of what my, and the rest of my social class' lives are like. Simple. it's impossible. Until we remove money and greed from capital hill we will never have an honest politician. There should be some sort of pay scale much like the military capped at whatever the average american makes during the term of their service. We have all said it, now its time to make it happen.

We all need food. Companies should not be allowed to tamper with our food. They are free to create whatever products they want, but these products should not be mixed with our existing food without us knowing it. I am worried about my children being used as guinea pigs by the food industry. It is unbelievable that our government does not protect our right to know what we eat. This has got to stop.

Removing this rule will create a more democratic House of Representatives.

The US Congress is responsible for the continuous growth in the size and number of US government agencies through laws and bills. This growth increases the debt responding to special interests and not the real needs of the people. The longer a representative is in office the easier they are influenced by special interests and the money flows to the most greedy of these.

This is an important policy that the majority of Americans see as needing cleaned up and should become a litmus test for the next set of elections. I think this is an important issue that needs worked on and not forgotten or pushed aside by the many issues that will come between now and the next set of local and national elections. Please add your 2 cents and take your own actions to make a difference in how our leaders are elected. Thanks.

We do not need power plays simply to raise money. They were meant for a "horse & buggy" time and not for the 21st century and beyond.

I have seen the best in people and have also seen the worst in people, maybe it is time that humanity sees each other as alive and sentient beings, bring down the walls and barriers that we have placed in between us all, and use the collective research for the betterment of all humanity! Bring the dream of Albert Einstein and Robert Francis Kennedy! A society based on multi-culturalism, democracy, active empathetic listening, and real peace! !:-(ω⊙ω)-:!

I strongly believe that our nation has been sold out to national and international interest groups. I also believe that such a situation is not in the interests of individual American Citizens

WE ARE LOSING OUR DEMOCRACY IN THE UNITED STATES because of the influence of big money on our government officials. Our country needs campaign finance reform NOW. Each citizen should have an equal voice in our government dealings. Because of how the current system is set up, legislators are forced to seek funds to run for office and then owe favors to the contributors. Corporations and the wealthy "hedge their bets" by contributing to ALL legislators of both primary parties. Fundraising also takes legislators' time and energy from doing what they need to be focusing on - representing the American people. WE DEMAND EQUAL REPRESENTATION. CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM - OR GO HOME!

We deserve to know who controls our city services. We don’t want to make the same mistakes as we did when we gave up control of our parking meters. Now parking meter rates have skyrocketed and taxpayers have no say in our own parking policies for 75 years. And despite this experience, the city continues to contract out services – from clinics to call centers. The PTAO will make sure the parking meter disaster and other reckless outsourcing don’t happen again. The PTAO will give decision makers and the public all the information they need before a service is outsourced and ensure that the city of Chicago and Chicago residents benefit with better services and a more accountable government.
