• Federal Government: Ratification of the 27th amendment of the United States Constitution
Equality was a key thought with the founding of the country. How is it equal for some to continue to receive pay while others with the same employer go without a paycheck. This has the potential to be exploited and must be stopped.

  • Thank Senator Prescott: Elections Are Not for Sale
The Citizens United U.S. Supreme Court ruling struck down restrictions on corporate and union spending in elections. The court enabled an explosion of election spending, often from secret sources. In the 2012 New Hampshire gubernatorial race, outside groups spent $19 million - almost 5 times what the candidates spent themselves. Americans of all political backgrounds are outraged. In New Hampshire, 72% of residents oppose Citizens United (81% Democrats, 70% Independents, and 64% Republicans). SB 307 is about taking power away from outside influences to decide our political leaders and giving it back to the people of New Hampshire to whom it rightfully belongs. With our democracy in crisis, now is the time to act. Senator Prescott is a key vote to ensuring the passage of SB 307 and has expressed his inclination to support it. Sign the petition and thank Senator Prescott for his support and urge him to vote yes on SB 307.

  • End Citizens United: Break the Fixed System!
Money simply should not be the determining factor in an election. Conservative groups received a huge boost from corporations to the tune of $719 million in the 2012 elections. We need a constitutional amendment that will put the power back with the masses. This idea that "corporations are people" must come to an end. We need to break this fixed system!

  • Ethical standards for Supreme Court Justices
Some Supreme Court Justices scoff at the idea that their associations past and present could effect their judicial fairness. The arrogance that leads them to feel that they are immune to the effects of behavior not tolerated in lesser mortals creates public mistrust in the Courts and undermines a vital part of our system of government.

  • Money Isn't Speech; Corporations Aren't People!
As a nation, we have lot's of problems, and all of them can, at least in theory, be solved. But as long as expended money is treated as protected speech, and corporations are treated as people with constitutional rights, very few of our problems can be solved. The power of big corporations will trump everything else as long as they can spend vast amounts of money campaigns and on (often false) message ads and commercials aimed at influencing legislation and elections.

  • What Christie Knew, and When
Those lane closures caused traffic to back up, with delays to all who tried to cross the bridge, and those drove in and around Ft. Lee, NJ. Those same lane closures caused delays to emergency service vehicles, both crossing the GW Bridge, and locally in Ft. Lee, NJ. While Gov. Christie fired one single appointee; two others have been implicated. We still do not know how many members of Gov. Christie's administration had responsibility for this action. In addition, we do not know whether Gov. Christie himself, had influence over the decision to close lanes at the GW Bridge.

  • Governor Christie: It's time to resign
Members of Gov. Christie's inner circle deliberately caused a four-day traffic snarl in Fort Lee, New Jersey, in an act of vengeance against the town’s mayor who refused to endorse the Governor’s re-election bid. And now, a Friday afternoon bombshell: the Port Authority Official who closed two lanes on the George Washington Bridge now says that Chris Christie knew about the closures. Nearly every day has brought new revelations, and the picture they paint is ugly. The Christie Administration has turned disaster relief money and public roads into weapons of political retaliation, and Chris Christie is nothing if not a micromanager of his Administration. The traffic jam that the Christie administration caused meant upwards of five hour delays for commuters and residents. Even worse, it delayed ambulances responding to medical emergencies. Using the powers of office to punish your political enemies is disgusting. Using your powers of office to punish the people they represent is unforgivable. Chris Christie is unfit for the office he serves, much less the presidency he seeks.

  • Tell Senator Coburn no war with Iran
Iran and the US are finally at the negotiating table together, but Congress may ruin diplomacy by passing a bill imposing new sanctions. This will cause diplomatic efforts to fail. We can't afford to have negotiations with Iran fail!
