The Michigan Republican Party is considering a cynical plan to divide Michigan's votes in the electoral college. This is nothing more than a obvious ploy to game the system and elect candidates which the GOP can't playing by the rules.

Other states have done this and I have heard that Michigan is considering it. In cases where it has been done it has given Republicans a big and unfair advantage. I don't want that to happen iin my state.

Requiring members of Congress to obtain their own private health insurance, and no longer live of the Dole, would equal the insurance playing field and open to Universal Health Coverage at a much reduced cost to all of us.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's aka Drones) should only be used with a warrant and should be unarmed within domestic U.S. air space unless there is an international or terrorist threat. This needs to happen in this session as the technology is ahead of the current laws. Reports have shown that UAV's have been flown over the Houston area for unknown reasons.

Dear Wisconsin citizen - The Wisconsin state legislature is back in session and facing a packed agenda, including workers' rights, the budget, and Scott Walker's plan to rig the electoral college in future presidential elections. Citizens of Wisconsin need to make their voices heard on this and many other issues in Madison. It is urgent that you act now before this issue is decided!!!

The latest NYS Gun Ban legislation was hastily written, ill concieved and passed without any public scrutiny or any input from constituents of opposing views. This is a clear end run of the democratic process and should be a an affront to the voting public regardless of your personal views. This legislation as it is written puts undue strain on law abiding citizens constitutional rights as well as a heavy financial burden on people that have not violated any laws.

In Virginia, one party waited for one representative of the other party to leave the state and then voted to gerrymander the state's districts. This will not only affect election outcomes in Virginia, but national elections, as well. In the 21st Century, why can't legislators make use of modern electronic means to vote from wherever they are?

The Hemp, or Cannabis plant, which is most commonly known as the plant that produces marujuana buds (even though that is legally okay with an appropriate medical condition, in my & other states), is also the plant that is capable of producing fiber, fabric, fuel, rope, medications... etc. Our Founding Fathers saw this land as a GREAT place to grow such a wonderful crop. It is annual, & takes less forrests & trees cut down to make paper. Also, it can make biofuel! Totally cutting our dependance from the LIMITED supply of the world's fossil fuels, ALSO hopefully helping reduce climate change effects. You can even grow INDUSTRIALIZED HEMP without them being the marijuana bud-producing kind!

This petition is in response to mass shootings including that at the Aurora, CO movie theater and Sandy Hook School in Newtown, CT. It also is in recognition of the hundreds of monthly gun deaths given no media coverage.

Fifty-three percent of homeowners in North Carolina live in what is known as "homeowner association" with certain By Laws they have to abide by when they purchase a home. Each homeowner pays monthly dues usually from $100.00 to $300.00 a month for the upkeep of our properties. What is now occuring throughout the nation and in North Carolina is much abuse towards good homeowners by uneducated newly elected board members over such associations who are negligent to do their jobs and pick on any requesting homeowner. The board would not submit the financials to me. When I finally got them, I discovered the loss of thousands. I went to our District Attorney and he would not do anything. I went to our Attorney General and his office said he does not cover homeowner asassociation problems. I live on disablity. My 80 year old parents and I were hit with a slander lawsuit for my complaints as to why I could not get a copy of the non profit corporate financials. The board hid behind what they sued us for saying I "harrassed" them with emails of complaint. Many homeowners who owe only $70.00 in HOA dues are foreclosed on. The HOA board charged me $85,000.00 in this bogus lawsuit with only a one week's notice to court against my $1,033.00 a month disability. Please sign a Petition to stop this abuse and form new enforcement laws for board members with penalites and a property manager's licensing bill.

Urge General Thein Sein, President of Myanmar to amend the 2008 Constitution with democratic principles and fairness.
