President Trump’s transgressions extend beyond incompetence; they are rooted in motivations that are transparently contrary to the values expressed in our nation’s Constitution. Collusion by House Republicans makes a mockery of the system of checks and balances our Founding Fathers envisioned and installed to protect our democracy. Every day Donald Trump remains in office stands as a repudiation of our system of governance and proud heritage of rule of law. Mike Coffman, Paul Ryan, and other Trump allies continue to back Trump at every turn. Even after his district sent a clear message by voting for Hillary Clinton with a 9 margin over Trump, Coffman has supported trump over 93% of the time. When those we’ve elected betray our trust and their oath of office, it falls to citizens to step into the breach. We don’t have time to wait for a Democratic Congress to hold Trump accountable. Unless and until he is removed from office, Trump will continue to do immense damage to our country. Coffman has proven countless times that he will change his positions to protect his own skin, such as when he vocally supported Republican’s move to take healthcare away from millions of Americans to pay for another tax cut for the 1%, only to vote against it when Paul Ryan said he could. In general, such naked self-interest is not to be applauded. But if Coffman’s true north is survival and if his constituents can convince him that his political survival depends on standing up to Trump before 2018, we certainly should. Anything that keeps more people from being harmed by Trump’s reckless policies is a victory for Americans. Since Coffman has proven he’s willing to do the right thing so long as he’s not expected to show actual leadership, I’ve worked with a team of legal experts to make it easy for him. John Doe has worked 1/2 his life under SS and is entitled to an SS pension. The same John Doe has worked for the Commonwealth of Mass 1/2 his life and is entitled to a state pension. His Social Security, that he earned, will be reduced by 2/3 because he will receive a state pension that he earned. He should get 100% of what he is entitled to, BOTH SS and state pension. The CFPB is the first federal financial watchdog whose entire job is making sure Wall Street can’t get away with the tricks and traps that bleed millions out of our pockets. The Bureau has recovered $12 BILLION dollars in ill-gotten gains for over 27 million people ripped off by the predatory financial industry. But here’s the thing. Republicans love the campaign donations they get from Wall Street bankers, payday lenders, and hedge fund managers. They are itching to destroy the CFPB and let Wall Street go wild. That’s why they’ve introduced an Orwellian named “CHOICE Act” that would gut the CFPB and give Wall Street more power to gamble with our economy. We know full well this bill is the WRONG CHOICE for our families. And it could be up for a vote in the House as soon as next week. As a veteran who swore to protect and defend this country from all enemies foreign AND domestic, I am appalled that students under the tutelage and austere leadership formation of UMD are not being held accountable for their hate speech and hate embodiment. Black lives matter and they need to matter before they're just another statistic. Until institutions start acting with formidable integrity by living into their call of forming future leaders, words are meaningless and a slap in the face to the families of those who have been killed or harmed. With respect to Richard Collins III, there needs to be an immediate expulsion of all students at UMD with ties to white supremacy. Not doing so makes it known that students who think black lives are meaningless are students that are approved of. As the power dynamic in a covenantal relationship between college and student, colleges cannot allow students that choice while they are aligned with a purportedly healthy mission statement. Doing so puts fellow students and surrounding citizen lives at risk. This cannot continue.

We must do everything we can to protect our Public Lands from the devastating effects of fracking and drilling. Climate Change is the largest existential threat that faces humanity and it is time to aggressively combat it and move to a Clean Energy Economy. This will put tens of thousands of Ohioans back to work in the renewable sector and create over one-hundred fifty thousand construction jobs needed to build up the infrastructure and grid. We need to make Ohio a leader in energy policy and combating Climate Change, and it all starts with us telling our legislatures that we will not accept them selling out Public Land to their Fossil Fuel Donors!!
