The company behind Keystone XL wants to build a fracked-gas pipeline through Western Maryland. If built, the Eastern Panhandle Expansion project would transport fracked gas from Pennsylvania to West Virginia, crossing through Maryland and under the Potomac River and the C&O Canal along the way. More than 6 million people get their drinking water from the Potomac River, and this pipeline project would jeopardize the quality of the water they depend on. Governor Hogan recently signed the statewide ban on fracking into law, and now he has the chance to protect the drinking water for millions of Marylanders again by denying the Clean Water Act certification that is required for this pipeline to move forward. Urge him to deny the Eastern Panhandle Expansion project's 401 Water Quality Certificate.

The inept and cruel Republican Congress passed an inhumane health care bill that will cause death and suffering to their constituents, while giving the wealthy a 2 percent tax cut. The Health Care Bill does not protect people with pre-existing conditions, does not cover woman who have been raped, babies born with serious medical conditions, children with cancer or even pay for an ambulance ride for someone having a heart attack. Republicans celebrated as they condemned many Americans to death. Regardless of what happens in the Senate, don't forgot what they are trying to do to us, to families, friends, neighbors. Pledge three dollars to support every Democrat that runs in your state. Ask your friends to do the same. Knock on doors and then get out and vote. Let's work to end the careers of those who care nothing about their constituents. Let's create an avalanche and turn the House and Senate blue.

The special tax laws violate the 1st amendment,. the special laws relieve RO's from filing tax returns and all transparency. Since a RO doesn't even have to file for this designation there is no way to know how many exist or if money is being collected by or used to fund terrorist organizations. All religious organizations should register as regular 501(c)(3) non profits if they want to avoid paying taxes. There must be transparency.

As a veterinarian, I have seen first-hand how medical cannabis benefits animals in ways conventional Western medicine cannot. Currently, veterinarians are being threatened with disciplinary action if they have "involvement in the treatment of an animal with marijuana or hemp." Let's allow veterinarians to do what they are trained to do- provide recommendations for the safe and effective treatment of pets.

I'm genuinely fed up with these short term "solutions" to long term problems. People come to America for the opportunity to be safe and free. They leave their homes because whatever they are leaving behind is way worse than being poverty stricken in America. That says a lot about our nation as a whole and is why I am proud to be American, why we all should be! Unfortunately I think we are using Mexico as scapegoat for our own problems and proposing to waste a ton of money on something that won't change a damnthing. If you build a wall we will still have addicts, criminals and people on welfare. Banning immigrants and building walls won't change that. Changing our perspective will. WHY are there so many opioid addicts? WHAT is going on with Mexico that people want to leave? WHY did that criminal make that choice? HOW could it have been prevented? Look at the big picture! I have seen plenty of media regarding the proposed expansion of the wall, but nothing yet about removing the wall. Let's put people to work removing the border completely.

New York has the opportunity to do something on behalf of the people of the United States of America that we cannot do for ourselves and force the release of the state tax returns of the President. This will also set an excellent legal precedent for future disclosure for ALL of our elected officials who should not be allowed to secretly profit from their public service at the cost of our security and ability to make informed choices of who our representatives are beholden to.

Republicans have no idea how to create a just and fair piece of legislation to improve or replace A.C.A. ( Affordable Care Act). They will push through any piece of garbage, call it Trumpcare, and think they have satisfied their goal of repealing Obamacare, which they are still attempting after 7 years without success. They have no idea how to create a good health care bill with bi-partisanship that will truly help America and make it "Great Again," in Trump's words.

The medical community, the AARP, and the citizens of Arkansas do not want this bill and feel that it is damaging to the health of millions of Americans. We are tired of our elected officials playing partisan politics and demand that you put the best interests of this country ahead of party.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro, and Jefferson Parish District Attorney Paul D. Connick, Jr. have admitted they allowed their prosecutors to issue “fake subpoenas,” i.e., notices labeled “SUBPOENA” to witnesses in criminal cases, telling them they had to appear before the District Attorney for questioning. These “fake subpoenas” were issued without judicial approval and, in Orleans Parish, threatened fines or jail time if the recipient ignored them. Every prosecutor who issued a “fake subpoena” should received discipline of no less than a public reprimand and suspension from the practice of law for no less than One Year and One Day.

Maine has about the oldest population in the country. Repealing the ACA will allow insurance companies to charge more for our older citizens. Also, the amount set to help defray the cost for pre-existing conditions is ridiculously low.
