According to a recent observer.com article. DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz has ignored 3 Democratic Congressional Candidates and has chosen to support her Republican Colleagues because she calls them "friends and has to work with them in Congress." The ONLY person who has the ability to remove or appoint the next DNC Chair is the Next Democratic President of the United States.

  • CNN must report on poll results without bias or misleading headlines.
A new CNN poll showed that Sanders had gained 4% since CNN's last poll in November, and Clinton had lost 8%. That totals up to a 12% swing in Sanders' favor, with last night's poll having Clinton up 16% total, 50% to 34% for Bernie Sanders. On CNN's website and television network, they have been hiding the actual poll data by showing "interview results" that have Clinton gaining support after the debate. When CNN got a poll result that showed Bernie Sanders had almost cut Clinton's lead in half, they used data that wasn't even a part of the poll to spin it as great news for Hillary Clinton. Their headline for the poll's article on their website is "CNN poll: Post-debate, voters move to Clinton", their news ticker on TV is only mentioning the "interview results" and not the actual poll results. For more information, you can read this article: http://progressorperil.com/2015/12/24/blatant-clinton-propaganda-from-cnn/

  • BLACK COMMUNITY DEMANDS COMMUNITY BENEFITS AGREEMENT ORDINANCE IN PITTSBURGH, PA
The Most Liveable City in the United States, Pittsburgh, PA means everyone except the poor and African American residents of the City. Disparity rates are the highest in the country on every level. It is time we as the people begin to fight for our rights. As the City of Pittsburgh concentrates in urban revitalization; with all of the development taking place throughout the City, it is noted that there is no protection of residents' rights within the strategies of re-development. There is no clear plan of economic revitalization for the residents of the most vulnerable populations that reside in the most livable city in the United States, the City of Pittsburgh. With multi millions of dollars planned for development, it is vital that disparity rates be addressed. One critical way to address it is by the creation of a Community Benefits Ordinance for the City of Pittsburgh. This Ordinance or Law will reinforce and set in place contractual binding agreements that requires community participation at all tables when it comes to development dollars, financial packages and tax incentives/abatements created for revitalization of the urban communities, and that our participation is required at all levels and planning stages.

  • Demand Voting Rights in Kentucky!
If you live in Kentucky, last month you heard some welcome news. If you had a previous felony conviction and served your time you were about to regain your right to vote thanks to an executive order by the outgoing Governor Steve Beshear. That all changed when the new Governor, Matt Bevin, rescinded that executive order, snatching away the promise of restoring the vote. This now means that 140,000 people who are out of prison, living in the community, paying taxes and raising families, remain disfranchised for life. We cannot call on individuals to resume responsibility of citizenship without returning to them their fundamental constitutional rights. One in 5 African Americans in Kentucky have previous convictions, which means that 1 in 5 African Americans in Kentucky are not only unable to vote, but they are also not allowed to serve on a jury or run for office. Preventing individuals from having their voices heard in our democracy, preventing them from representation and the opportunity to represent themselves is a terrible policy. Let Kentucky’s legislators know that - when it comes to democracy - all eyes are on them. When the legislative session starts in January, they have the power to make good on a lost promise; they can act to restore the right to vote for thousands of participating citizens in their state.

  • Equal Education: Demand North Carolina to Change the School Curriculum!
African American drop out rates are increasing and graduation rates are decreasing. African American history is not implemented in the school curriculum. We are taught the prominent leaders are Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks, yet we still have little knowledge of these leaders and others. We are taught slavery, and civil rights, but they over shadow all of the contributions that have been made to society by African Americans. America’s youth is growing up ignorant. With little knowledge of African American history we are allowing young black kids to grow up thinking they can’t be anything in life aside from a basketball player or rapper. We are giving them little self-esteem to how much potential they truly have. If only we were taught about the people in our history just like us; growing up in poverty, with little education, who still contribute to this nation.

  • Make Sheldon Adelson Comply With Israeli Anti-NGO Laws
An ongoing right-wing campaign in Israel against Israeli human rights groups like B'Tsalem has recently escalated. The Israeli Right is attacking these human rights groups as foreign "plants" [1] because they receive funding from European governments, and right-wing Israeli legislators have proposed to punish Israeli human rights groups that receive foreign government funding. But the restrictions proposed in the Knesset would apply only to human rights groups that receive funding from foreign governments, not to right-wing political groups that receive funding from foreign private sources - like GOP casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. [2] The private U.S. fundraising of the right-wing settler movement, which receives tax-exempt U.S. donations, [3] would not be touched. Urge President Obama and Congress to support U.S. legislation and regulations that would ensure that similar restrictions to whatever is enacted in the Knesset against "foreign funding" of Israeli human rights groups are applied in the U.S. to private U.S. funding of the Israeli Right and the settler movement by signing our petition. • Replace Debbie Wasserman Schultz with Elizabeth Warren as DNC Chair
During Debbie Wasserman Schultz's tenure as Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Party has suffered drastic losses at every level of government from state legislatures, governor's offices, and both houses of the U.S. Congress. With the exception of the 2012 presidential election, Democrats have suffered losses which have demonstrated that our party's leadership is weak, feckless, and incompetent. After these losses, Republicans have waged an almost endless war on the progress this country has made over the last century. Wasserman Schultz has sown division in the Democratic Party at a critical moment in the election cycle, and the only remedy is her immediate removal from her position of Charwoman of the DNC. From her decision to have less Democratic debates at any point in history to her decision last week to cut off the Sanders campaign's access to voter files critical to the running of his campaign, she has demonstrated that she does not serve the interests of the Democratic Party as a whole, but rather the interests of the Clinton machine. After these deep divisions within the Democratic Party, it is absolutely essential that we heal said wounds, move forward, and unite as a party. It's critical for us to express whom we wish to run our party. The only leader around whom all Democrats would rally and who would remain impartial for the remainder of the primary season is U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. She has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Democratic principles and would undoubtedly run the Democratic National Committee in a fair, equal, and unbiased manner. She is the leader our party needs during this time of great political turmoil. One would think that the Democratic establishment would learn from the losses in the past elections; however, the Democratic establishment has made clear that its priority in the upcoming election cycle is not to take back either house of Congress, but to continue the Clinton dynasty and line their own pockets with cash from the Clinton machine. Though every electoral loss cannot be laid solely at one person's feet, there is absolutely no doubt that the leadership of the Democratic National Committee under Debbie Wasserman Schultz should be held accountable after such drastic and historic losses at the polls. These losses are but one of many instances which demonstrate that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is no longer qualified to run the Democratic Party. Senator Elizabeth Warren is the only clear choice for real change in the Democratic Party and for the party to take back both houses of Congress. Please sign this petition asking President Obama to replace Debbie Wasserman Schultz with Elizabeth Warren as Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.

  • Raymond Arrieta: Stop Doing Brown or BlackFace
Blackface and Brownface have been historically racist practices in the media that have dehumanized black and indigenous people. We live in a time where this should no longer be acceptable. It only further marks our marginalization and lacks a positive representation of us. If Raymond Arrieta really cares for the people he should not be performing in these type of practices.

  • Keep the Farley Station Post Office Open!!!
By closing the local post office, the Postal Service is putting undue hardship on the elderly residents of the surrounding communities. The post office is the heartbeat of the community, it serves a great need in the area, and closing it would go against the whole premise of strengthening communities. Closing a post office marks certain doom for surrounding neighborhoods, and decay of the area. Please do not close our local Farley Station Post Office, located at 3621 NW 16th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73107, we need our post office and the sense of community it creates.

  • Reschedule The Next Democratic Debate for a Tuesday
This petition is about correcting an injustice that has been weakening the Democratic Party's brand. Reschedule the next Democratic Debate on a Tuesday, not a three day weekend, not during an NFL playoff game. Hold the Democratic debates on Tuesdays, when people are home and will be able to watch.

  • Stop KY Governor Matt Bevin from violating LGBT Rights
Please support the American Civil Liberties Union in this fight for equal rights for all Americans. As stated by the ACLU of Kentucky, "government officials, from the highest to the lowest, have a duty and responsibility to impartially administer the laws that exist, not the laws as they wish them to be.” Thus, not only is this order out of the scope of Governor Bevin's executive authority, but it paves the way for further discrimination against the LGBT community within the state of Kentucky.
