• Weapons used by ISIS
It seems that the terrorists are using weapons originally paid for by American taxpayers, but captured by terrorists or re-sold to them. What is our government doing about this situation?

  • What will the U.S. do if regional ground forces won't or don't stop the extremist invasion by ISI...
Every move we make or don't make can lead to deepening the quagmire we created in Iraq and to increasing the national debt with no guarantee of success, whatever that might look like. It will make impossible demands on our tired volunteer forces and the families that try to support them. Many recent veterans are not getting the care they deserve. Our country's crumbling infrastructure needs billions of dollars for repairs. Before the United States engages in further military action, I want you to answer my question.

  • Stop Paul LePage from winning the next election for Governor by signing this pledge:
Maine's last election for Governor was won by the Tea Party with 39% of the vote because Independents and Democrats did not collaborate to support one of their two candidates when the race came down to the wire. This year we face the same three-way race, and the polling looks very similar. If we don't vote for whichever challenger is ahead in the polls , we will face the same outcome and the Tea Party in power for another four years.

  • Questions that must be answered before we launch another war in the Middle East.
Before we go to war we should know why we are going, and what the costs will be in lives and money. We invaded Iraq ten years ago because there were supposed to be "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq. There were none. 4500 US Servicemembers have lost their lives. 32,000 have been wounded. The death toll for Iraquis is nearly half a million. The US debt is 17.9 trillion dollars. Meanwhile, defense contractors have made hundreds of billions of dollars. What will be the cost of more military intervention? Who will suffer and who will benefit?

  • Stop destroying Syria by funding violent Syrian "rebels."
I am Syrian-American. As a Syrian I don't want the US government destroying Syria by replacing a moderate, secular government with radical Islamists. My opinion is shared by every Syrian I know. As an American, I don't want my government spending one more dime creating and fighting foreign wars. I want my tax dollars to educate our children, care for our elderly, rebuild our infrastructure and economy, or be used in any other way that actually benefits the American people. Please sign my petition.

  • Call out Assembly Democrats for killing the California DISCLOSE Act
Last month, California Assembly Democrats killed the DISCLOSE Act, which would require telling the truth about who is behind ads about Ballot Propositions. You can send a message to those Democrats about how you feel about their caving in to pressure from special interests, by signing this petition. Oh, and, by the way, as you sign the petition, you can give them a piece of your mind about what they did! We’re tired of ads that are really paid for by the Koch Brothers or PG&E or Monsanto saying they’re paid for by fake front groups with high-sounding names like Americans for Prosperity (a front group for the Koch brothers) or California Drivers Alliance (a new front group for the Oil Companies), or Americans for Mom and Apple Pie. We demand to know who is really paying for the ads, and the DISCLOSE Act will require that. Make a bold statement for truth in advertising–sign the petition. The whole progressive agenda will be helped by the DISCLOSE Act. Imagine how different things would be if special interests opposed to LGBT rights, civil rights, healthcare reform, and corrective actions to reduce global warming and protect the environment, had to clearly disclose themselves to voters on their ads about ballot propositions. Ask your legislators to stand up to the Special Interests and vote for the people–sign the petition. You’ll be glad you did!

  • Before we start another war, we need to have some answers
I believe that any time the US goes to war we need to know when it's over. Answering these questions will help determine if a war is the answer and, if so, how will we end our involvement.
