Tillis has done immeasurable damage to the residents of North Carolina in his position as State House Leader. This includes cutting money for education and unemployment benefits, and denying Medicaid to low income residents. Maria Fernandes was found dead in her car on Tuesday, August 26. She worked four jobs – three at Dunkin' Donuts – because she couldn't make ends meet on the pitiful wages we make. She worked hard, and was often forced to take naps in her car between shifts – she died in a New Jersey convenience store parking lot after being overcome by fumes while resting. It's heartbreaking that she died working so hard to make ends meet. And it's outrageous that incredibly profitable fast food corporations get away with paying us so poorly that we need to work four jobs and sleep in our cars between shifts.

Ten years ago, the parents, teachers, and community of the Dearborn school came together to rehabilitate a crumbling school building that had been neglected for decades. Together they created the Dearborn 6-12 STEM Early College Academy plan to address the physical plant of the building and the academic needs of the students of Roxbury to prepare them for success in the 21st century. This plan was approved in the spring of 2012, and ground was broken on June 19, 2014. Now the entire project is at risk despite Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's October 2013 promise to “unequivocally support the Dearborn Project through to completion.” The Dearborn community members deserve the fulfillment of this promise.

I am the parent of a child with uncontrollable seizures. Every drug the FDA has approved, has been ineffective in controlling or stopping this severe form of Epilepsy. CBD oil ( Medicinal Marijuana ) has been proven to slow and even stop seizures. Many medical uses are showing great responses for sufferers, including M. S. and Parkinson's disease. Please help us.

Montana's stream access laws are continually being challenged. Most of these challenges are the result of people having no previous knowledge of the existing laws or knowledge that is incomplete or incorrect. The people of Montana like their stream access laws and would like to see them remain unchanged. If you're looking to buy a piece of Montana you should be fully aware of all the laws that may have an impact on your property and learn to live by those laws rather than strive to change them.

Let's ask North Carolina to supplement SSI to assist parents of minor children whose disability prevents them from working full time or working at all. $721 is not enough especially when food stamps are negatively impacted!! This is NOT a handout it is much needed assistance for parents and/or caregivers who face the everyday challenges of caring for a child with special needs.

It is TIME to overturn Citizens United. The name does not tell the truth. The fact that a few individuals and Corporations can literally buy our Congress and House is beyond belief. When millions are given to candidates or our representatives there is no longer representation for US. but for the demands of these donors. We need to be able to trust and believe that our representatives will do the right thing. Let's bring back OUR government of the people!

Last week, nine-year-old Antonio Smith ran out of his house on the South Side of Chicago, angry that his mother wouldn't let him have a cupcake. It was about four o'clock in the afternoon. A few minutes later, Antonio was shot to death on the street a few blocks from his home by an unidentified gunman, for no apparent reason. Antonio's family has invited the public to the funeral.
