• Stop LNG by Rail in Its Tracks
Moving Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) by Rail is a disaster waiting to happen. Many of you already know that because you followed the issue and signed the petitions we circulated to stop it last time Trump was in office. Here we go again! The Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking recently published by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is the first step in the process of changing the rules, yet again, to allow LNG to be moved by rail nationwide. We're asking you to sign our petition to send a strong message to the Trump administration and PHMSA that LNG moved by rail is too dangerous to allow. They must NOT reverse the court-ordered ban! Help us stop LNG by rail in its tracks! We'd appreciate it if you could take a couple of additional minutes to submit a comment to PHMSA's official docket for this advance rulemaking using our EZ form. All you need to do is write an opening sentence, a closing sentence, and select from several optional points to include in your comment. We take care of the formatting and uploading and we save a copy, along with the tracking number, to be on the safe side. You can find our EZ form here.

  • Save Tacoma's Stadium District 75 Year Old Historical USPS Postal Station
Rankos Stadium Pharmacy independently operates the 75 year old USPS Postal Substation in the Historical Stadium District of Tacoma, WA.  Rankos' Pharmacy pays for operations, training, staffing, ordering, renting the space, renting required equipment (we have a lease with the meter company and pay many fees), upkeep, and more.  Rankos' Pharmacy's team does all we can to provide excellent mailing services to our community.  We are independent and have been loyal, devoted, and served our community's mailing needs through USPS consistently over 75 years and through COVID -19. We offer this service to everyone in our community and we do so to provide the best service and mailing access possible.  People receive exceptional care whether they are choosing one perfect stamp for their important letter, or multiple rolls of stamps....everyone is valued and served with respect and gratitude. The businesses in the Stadium District are dwindling and we simply can't lose another service or entity.  We have not even had a pay increase since the early 80's and the USPS Station is a true, community service.    Our community will be negatively impacted if we lose the Postal Station.   This termination threat impacts people in our community who rely on us, our business, our staff, our morale, and our services. We do NOT accept termination of our agreement.  We are committed to decreasing all barriers to equitable access to our care and the services we provide. Thank you!!

  • Support Protections for Ukrainian Families - LET THEM STAY!
Americans believe strong communities - rural, suburban, and urban - are built on hope, compassion, and shared responsibility. My family is a private humanitarian parole sponsor of two Ukrainian families from Sumy and Zaporizhzhia, respectively and a supporter of many others including mom and her family in the above picture. Our church community has also walked alongside another family from Odessa, Ukraine, helping them find safety and stability in central North Carolina.  Providing a form of immigration extension for these Ukrainian families empowers our communities’ ability to live out our faith in transformative ways.   Losing these individuals who work hard and pay taxes, who gladfully repair our appliances, who joyously serve in retirement centers and who proudly deliver our food would be a devastating loss for our communities. Let’s let them stay until it’s safe to go home.

  • Petition For Higher Pay, Benefits for DCPS Substitute Teachers in Washington, DC
If you are a parent, a guardian, a teacher, a principal, or a citizen of the District of Columbia, you should care about this issue because well-educated and well trained substitute teachers (ST) are a critical part of the public school ecosystem. When teachers need to be out of the classroom for meetings, doctors appointments, stress management, illness, or caretaking, an ST should be available to take over. When there is not one available, students are required to split up into other teachers' classrooms, overloading that teacher. Or someone from administration is required to neglect their responsibilities and teach the class. These situations are not good for the students. They deserve a skilled substitute teacher to implement the teacher's lesson plan or create alternative learning activities for that class.   We need you to join our campaign asking the DC Mayor and Council to invest in our schools by providing a living wage for ST's and paying for paid professional development for ST's as well. Substitute teachers cannot continue to work for poverty wages and volunteer on professional development days!

  • Do Downtown Woodland Events Committee Approval
The current roster of downtown Woodland events are created by and approved by a very small group of people and the city of Woodland. There is currently no oversight by business owners or by community members. The process requires an application and a meeting during a once a month approval meeting.  Approvals are only given once a month. If your application is denied, you must reapply the following month, or simply give up. This current process stifles creativity, new events and as a result stifles new visitors and customers to our city. We seek ease of application process, transparency in approval and denial decisions with more oversight and  input from our business owners and residents. This plan will bring more vibrancy, more creativity, more revenue to our area and our town. Be a part of fresh new ideas, events and entertainment in Woodland by signing today!

  • Divest Pension Funds from Fossil Fuels!
The entertainment industry is full of storytellers, and the story of pensions and retirement funds should not be one of climate destruction and financial risk. Fossil fuel investments are becoming increasingly unstable, and continuing to back them spells long-term destruction for everyone.  The performers and artists who fuel the entertainment industry deserve a pension fund that aligns with the world they’re working to build, both on set and off. In solidarity with performers and artists across the country, we urge you to: • Divest pension plans from fossil fuel companies—including those involved in extraction, pipelines, and related services • Reinvest at least 10% of assets into climate-safe, socially responsible funds within the next five years • Build transparency and open up meaningful opportunities for member input on where our money goes SAG-AFTRA can secure a sustainable future for its members—and lead the way for other unions to follow suit. Sign the petition to show the movement of workers on our side, advocating for investments that keep our planet safe, center environmental justice, and protect all of us.

  • Preserve Our Live Oaks: Save Tree 16
The trees at Oakhampton Place both are a safe haven to our local wildlife and an enchanting addition to this property. Many of our tenants choose to live here because of the privacy, shelter, shade, and aesthetic appeal that these trees offer. Our poolside tenants were upset when the flowering crepe myrtles were cut down, and now several of our beloved live oaks have been removed or have been marked for removal.  These trees have not appeared to be overly stressed or dying. We care about this loss largely because the live oak is indigenous to Texas and it is important to protect our native trees in this community. We are speaking out because we want to champion and preserve our canopy, and this is also a mission within Bexar County! Unnecessarily chopping down these large trees also affects our ecosystems in this area and harms our environment. The animals that live in these trees have nowhere to go when these trees are cut and must resort to residing in unnatural spaces. A large benefit of having this tree between Oakhampton property and the neighboring school is that it blocks a lot of the sound pollution as well. Noise from loud delivery trucks, daily announcements, and the hustle and bustle of students is already an issue, but much of is soaked up by the spatial area of the tree, providing our residents with some relief. Lastly, cutting down the tree will take away the cooling that it provides. Without the tree canopy, our apartments get hotter and our AC units work harder. We want clean air and natural beauty to live on at Oakhampton. Thank you for considering our request as we want to be mindful of chopping down our Live Oak trees—just trim them! Let’s work together to preserve our clean, beautiful environment for ourselves and our local wildlife. We urge you: Please protect the mature, healthy tree outside building 16 that is marked for removal alongside any others!

  • Save CalPERS Members' Access to UC Health by August 7, 2025
I am reaching out with an urgent appeal that directly affects your health and wellness. Our access to essential healthcare services through the UC Health System is at risk. If Blue Shield does not settle their negotiations with the University of California’s Health Care system by August 9th, 2025, CalPERS Health Care members likely will lose access to vital healthcare providers, including specialists who are otherwise unavailable in many areas.  This is not just about access for those currently using the UC Health Care system; it impacts all of us. Many CalPERS members could find themselves without the necessary specialist care they need, forced to rely solely on local hospitals and emergency care centers. That’s why I urge you to take immediate action. Please consider signing the petition urging CalPERS to advocate for its members and facilitate an agreement between Blue Shield and the UC Health System. By signing, you are standing up for your rights and the healthcare access that we all deserve.  Time is of the essence! It is critical that this partnership is maintained for both current and future healthcare needs, even if you don't currently use a UC doctor.  We would appreciate your response by August 7, 2025, so we can forward the petition to CalPERS and Blue Shield before the end of their negotiations. However, we will leave this petition open until this matter is resolved. Your voice matters! Let’s act now to safeguard our access to essential healthcare services.   Thank you for taking swift action on this vital issue.

  • A Life Stolen. A Voice Silenced. Help Free Jose Muyet
Jose Muyet’s case represents a broken system that has affected thousands — especially Black and Latino men — with unjust sentencing, no physical evidence, and coerced testimony. His 30+ year incarceration isn’t just about one man — it’s about a system that too often values punishment over truth, and silence over fairness. Jose's story is important because it shows us that people can change, but the system often refuses to. Despite decades behind bars, Jose has found healing, purpose, and voice through his writing and personal transformation. Freeing Jose isn’t just about ending one injustice — it’s about calling attention to all the others like his, and demanding that New York correct its past mistakes. Because this could be your brother, your son, your neighbor — or even you. If we stay silent, the system never changes. But when we raise our voices together, we show that people care about fairness, about truth, and about second chances. By joining this campaign, you are: • Standing up for someone who has spent 30 years locked away with no evidence • Demanding that the justice system be accountable • Supporting a man who has already done the hard work of transformation • Saying: Redemption is real. Injustice cannot stand. Jose can't fight for his freedom alone. But we can fight with him. Your voice matters. Your signature matters. Your share matters.

  • State Chair and leadership to follow bylaws
This is not just about one meeting or one leader — it’s about preserving the integrity, transparency, and values of the Hawai‘i Republican Party, and beyond. We are calling for accountability, respect for our rules, and protection of every member’s voice, regardless of their opinions or alliances. When leadership disregards the bylaws and parliamentary rules, they are not just silencing opposition — they are undermining the very foundation of our party. This campaign is about making sure: • Every delegate and member is heard • Rules are followed without favoritism, or because there is opposition • Decisions are made through a fair and lawful process • Unity means inclusion, not control If we don’t stand up now, the Party risks becoming a vehicle for personal agendas rather than a force for principled governance. This campaign is our stand to say: Integrity matters. Process matters. Our voice matters. Join us — not just to protest — but to help restore trust, fairness, and proper leadership to the Hawai‘i Republican Party.

  • Demand Diplomacy Over Military Action with Iran
The Trump administration bombed Iran's nuclear sites on June 21, choosing military action over diplomacy, violence and war over peace and true security. We need your help urgently to push your members of Congress to demand a better approach to the conflict with Iran. The painful truth is Iran had joined a binding, verified accord to dramatically limit its nuclear enrichment program, but President Trump pulled the United States out of that agreement back in 2018. More recently, he started talks with Iran about a new agreement, but these bombings undermine that effort. Military intervention is unlikely to permanently stop Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon should it choose to do so, while sharply weakening any trust between the two countries and our best tools for nonproliferation and disarmament. Whereas we know diplomacy works. Write today and demand that your members of Congress: 1) publicly denounce the attacks on Iran; and 2) call on the president use diplomacy instead of bombs with Iran's leaders. The path forward cannot be military action—it must be diplomacy and cooperation.
