I live with a disabled child that needs funding for her services. I' sick and tired of the government nickel and dime policy for people with special needs. It is a shame. In addition as an educator the impact that these cuts will have on education in general will be devastating for students and teachers. Gun control is past due needed for obvious reasons just look at our statistics for crime.

I am a graduate student, 24 years old,and when I graduate, I will no longer be having Medical Insurance. I am one of the people who are struggling with a lack of health care. Working poor, people with disabilities, adults under 65, childless adults and others are not receiving health care all over the state and it is our responsibility and priority to ensure that they will be able to receive affordable health care with Medicaid Expansion.

The aim of this act is to require all food producers to drop colorful and misleading packaging in exchange for plain black and white wording and pictures on all of their products they sell as food. The only exemption from the above stated black and white packaging description is a photograph taken of the actual field the food is grown or raised in. This will provide a clear and precise picture of how a d where your food was grown or raised. The second part of the act has to do with the naming of food. The name shoudl reflect all of the ingredients instead of the current method of naming food that has been proven to be misleading. For example if you have eggs from an organic farm with no antibiotics used then you can call them eggs. However if you have eggs from a farm that uses antibiotics then you must call them the antibiotic name followed by egg. It is clear when you walk into a grocery store that there are many unhealthy foods being sold and they are being advertised in clever ways as healthy. If a company wants to sell food then they need to inform the public what they are selling. Misleading or direct misrepresentation of food like products has flooded the market. The costs from the businesses selling the fake food are rising health costs and increases in pollution as well as an unsustainable and unstable food source. The system has had multiple failures in regards to food safety while at the same time the genetic engineering of our food stock has created a situation where common diseases and pests will continue to pose an ever increasing threat until our system eventually fails. The Gates Foundation has spent $2.5 billion on AIDS grants and $1.4 billion for a global health fund. They fund AIDS vaccine research to develop a preventive vaccine for AIDS, and AIDS treatment research, to develop medications that treat--but don't cure--AIDS. But they don't fund the search for a cure. Yet only half of people with AIDS worldwide can access treatment--the rest are dying; 1.7 million die every single year. People with AIDS, many in extreme poverty, must somehow obtain an expensive pill every day for the rest of their lives to stay alive. We are on the brink of a new era--but whether a cure for everyone happens in 5 years or 20 depends on whether scientists must wait, as they do now, for years to start their cure research projects due to lack of funding. Bill and Melinda Gates could make a pivotal contribution by providing adequate funding for researchers to grasp the scientific opportunities in front of them and accelerate a cure for all. Kentucky's alcohol laws are a mess. Please work to bring some sanity to the mish-mash of licenses, prohibitions, and restrictions. Kentuckians should be able to purchase alcohol as citizens of neighboring states do

Currently the US Government is cutting funding to domestic programs that help Americans while foreign countries continue to receive billions of dollars in military and other aid. And certain foreign lobbies are actually trying to get legislation passed that will make them immune to any future budget cuts, while millions of Americans lose funding for programs that serve them directly.

NJ S2596 that each region -- north, central, west and south -- maintain one operational developmental center and that “certain factors” be considered before residents are transferred between centers. This Bill disregards the U.S. Supreme Court's Olmstead decision, and is not in line with the interests of the population that the Department of Human Services serves. The suggestion that New Jersey needs to maintain one developmental center in each region is abhorrent. Keeping developmental centers open - regardless of which state they are located - undermines disability services’ progress and the basic human rights of all people, regardless of their abilities.

Unpaid Taxes by big banks using robo-signed documents have foreclosed properties fraudulently, impacting the County budget for police, fire and education services. Big banks must prove they own the note/mortgage according to AB 1602 and SB 1470, effective 1/1/13. Fraudulent foreclosures must be reported by the Recorder to the CA Attorney General.

I've been trying to get disability since 2011. I have Fibromyalgia and dont think that enough people know how painful it is and how it controls your life. Yet I keep getting turned down for disability.
