Senate and House committees have sought from the Administration legal memos justifying the use of drone strikes outside any traditional theater of war, including those that target American citizens. In response, the Administration finally released some information, but is refusing to disclose more. It makes a difference what the policy is. Recent polls have indicated that most Americans wouldn't support drone strikes if there is a significant risk of civilian casualties, and wouldn't support broad targeting of anyone suspected of being associated with a militant group if they aren't a threat to the United States. The information that has been released so far shows that the Administration can release information to Congress and the public without compromising national security. We need to have an informed public debate about the drone strike policy, and to have an informed debate, we need to know what the policy is. Our Congress is failing the American people that they serve. I am asking that we change the pay structure for our Senators and Congress men and women. Change the pay structure to a model that is results driven or return it back to a per diem model that was good enough for our forefathers. The current pay structure offers 175 to 194,000 dollars per annum (130 to 180) days. $97.00+ /hour. This pay structure is obviously not working and I believe that there is no incentive to produce results. Offering a per diem with min and max bonuses based on US citizen satisfaction will improve andl produce better results.

Study after study has demonstrated that talking on a cell phone while driving is dangerous. This practice should be banned. It would also make it easier to enforce the no texting law if any cell phone use while driving is illegal.

This petition is to Save the TREY & BOO classic annual basketball tournament. The Police are trying to charge over $6,300 dollars per year to have this tournament for "Police presence" at the tournament which they mandated we have. Crime cant stop if people continue on abusing their children. Children have to be taught to love themselves at a early age. There is too much child abuse in this country, too many gangs. Why do kids join gangs? its because there is no love at home for them. In Chicago kids are being killed almost everyday according to MSN. Daylight Saving Time (DST) interferes with many social life styles, sleep pasterns and work cycles etc and has no real benefits to our society. It is time to end DST and explore/propose a new alternative time standard that does not interfere with these situations. The NST is the perfect solution to fixing DST and bringing our time system to one that does not require any yearly changes once it is in place.
