From billions of dollars in oil, mining, agri-business and pharmaceutical industry subsidies, to health insurance and communications, housing & defense subsidies all seen as the entitlements these and many other corporations expect government agencies to provide in federal lands for use and exploitation, research assistance, & favorable tariffs, regulation or deregulation, contracts and legislation.

The Voter ID laws are simply a new form of voter suppression, being sold as a way to end non-existent voter fraud.

No One who works a full time job should have to depend on food stamps or welfare to feed themselves or keep a roof over their heads. Republican policies over the past 30 years have meant that wages have not kept up with inflation for 80% of Americans. Now, even dual income families struggle to pay their bills. In the meantime, the wealthiest in this country have seen their incomes and wealth soar...even executives, who are not the founders of the companies they run receive salaries and compensation 1000's of times that of their employees. Laws must be put into place to provide LIVING WAGES to all full time employees over the age of 21. Those wages must automatically increase at the rate of inflation. America's success was built on this concept that we are all in this together....The wealthy and powerful have forgotten that, enrich themselves, and ship jobs overseas.

The press and media spends most of its time talking about the Presidential race. That is fine in an election year, but I don't think enough emphasis is placed on focusing on the job that our congressmen and woman and our senators are doing. I think we need a petition to periodically give the American people a report card of how our elected officials are doing to further the course of this country.

Mitt Romney accuses a portion of the population of certain negative characteristics. He refuses to release his taxes, is it because he doesn't pay any either?

Apply a penalty tax to American companies that outsource work, services and product manufacturing, then market goods and services to the American people. Americans would prefer to purchase products, goods and services made, manufactured, produced, serviced, and supported in America by Americans. Quite often there are none of these products, produced, manufactured, serviced or supported here; where they do exist the goods, products and services are often overpriced beyond patriotism. (The 2012 Olympics was a good example, it was a slap in the face to American people and the USA competitors having to were uniforms made anywhere outside of the USA. Our government should apply penalty taxes that make it less lucrative to sell out Americans. Imports should be required to pay a penalty tax as well. Consumers in America, who purchase American made products, goods and services should have their purchases subsidized thereby making it more attractive economically and to also give fair, honest American companies a competitive edge. OOPT there it is!

D.C. rights, including the right to federal representation, control over our own budget, etc, is a huge issue missing from the Presidential debate and narrative of the elections. We need someone in the White House who represents ALL Americans, including those of us living in the Capital! The Presidential candidates should discuss this issue in a public forum.

The internship has become a way for corporations and businesses to take advantage of young middle class college grads. They have the same responsibilities as a job but for zero dollars. The only people who can do them are middle class college grads who are being subsidized by their parents' retirements. It's time to force businesses to stop taking advantage of these kids and create some entry level jobs.

This petition by we, the people of the United States, is to re-establish justice, provide for a better defense, promote the general welfare, reinstate domestic tranquility and trust in Government, and to assure to ourselves and our posterity the survival and the success of Liberty - and to guarantee the survival of every part of the Constitution, especially those parts establishing due process of law, civil rights and respectable courts.

As you work throughout your career, you pay into social security. When you retire, you are taxed for a part of that income. When you have to return to work for extra income, you are again taxed toward social security, even though being retired already, you will never again be able to increase your social security benefits. I believe that seniors who have already begun drawing on their benefits, but find themselves having to return to a job for any reason, should not be taxed again, nor should they have any part of their earnings in jeopardy if they earn "too much", (i.e.- having to pay back $1 for every $3 earned past the alloted annual amount). None of their annual benefit should be taxed again.
