Students are defending themselves and they are getting in trouble because they defended themselves against the attacking student and the schools are doing jack shit about the attacking student that they are protecting themselves against and students are now taking it into their own hands because the schools are doing jack shit about it and it bull shit.

The Child Tax Credit (CTC), a cash assistance program for working families, has been one of the most effective policies for helping families meet their most basic needs like food, housing, and child care. In 2022 alone, the CTC cut child poverty nearly in half. But since it expired, millions of children have been thrown back into poverty. Earlier this year, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed bipartisan legislation to expand the Child Tax Credit, which would help 16 million children and their families deal with rising costs and boost local economies. But it's currently stuck in the Senate, so we need to do everything we can to demand they pass it as soon as possible! A majority of voters support the Child Tax Credit because it's good for families, our communities, and the economy. The CTC has proven to keep kids fed and safe at home, help parents with everyday expenses like utilities, groceries, and rent, and assist parents in paying for child care. Sign the petition to demand that the Senate swiftly pass the Child Tax Credit expansion so families can get the urgent support that they need right now.

the current classification system for high school sports in our state is unfair and Should not include schools that recruit athletes. As a member of the community and a parent of a high school athlete, I have noticed a growing trend of private schools recruiting players and athletes from all over the state. This has led to an unfair advantage for these schools and puts regular public schools at a disadvantage. I strongly believe that private schools who recruit players and athletes should be in a class of their own or be required to compete at the highest class for high school sports. Currently, these schools are placed in the same class as regular public schools, which I believe is not fair. Private schools have the resources and means to recruit top players and build teams that are almost unbeatable. This puts tremendous pressure on hometown teams who do not have the same recruiting abilities. Furthermore, it is not just about the competition, but also about sportsmanship and fairness. When private schools recruit players, they are essentially building an all-star team, which goes against the true spirit of high school sports. Regular public schools, on the other hand, rely on their students who live in the community and may not have the same level of talent and skill. It is not fair for these teams to compete against each other as it can be demoralizing and discouraging for the players who have put in their hard work and dedication in their respective sports. I understand that private schools may argue that they have the right to recruit and build strong teams to compete at the highest level. However, I believe that they should be required to compete in a separate class or at the highest class, where they can compete against other schools with similar resources and recruiting abilities. This will level the playing field and make the competition more fair and enjoyable for all. I urge the Minnesota State High School League Board to take action on this matter and consider creating a separate class or requiring private schools to compete at the highest class for high school sports. As a parent and a member of the community, I believe it is our responsibility to ensure that all high school athletes have an equal opportunity to compete and showcase their skills.

I know there are many residents in this area who love it here, have strong roots here and do not wish to be homeless or forced to try and move somewhere else. In the local Orange County, Sullivan County area, housing is going up if you have $500,000 or more to live a good life. Many, many residents are unable to afford this or the exorbitant rents of $2000 + per month plus separate utilities, security and 2 months rent. Please join me in using the idea of building repurposing. Taking empty buildings and using them for housing our longtime residents who need it. Families who can no longer afford local housing, are many!! Please help by asking our Rep, named above, for some assistance. Moving away is not the answer, it uproots families from their relatives, children from their schools and older children from their senior parents in a time of need. It’s a simple solution to prevent additional lives being lost at the sharp curve in the road. I lost my fiancé Sunday at this location. No one should have to hold a loved one as they take their last breath at this intersection ever again! This memory will forever replay in my mind! Something has to be done so that more families do not have to grieve the loss of a loved one and forever have their lives changed ever again! Having a virtual option for the AAPAC meetings, allows parents who do not have the physical capacity to attend all meetings in person. We as a community want to ensure we foster inclusivity and provide resources for all AAPAC to attend and be informed on what AAPAC is doing and the things at Rancho that impact our children.
