On Wednesday, January 6, we witnessed an unprecedented assault on our democracy. A violent mob of white supremacists stormed the Capitol building, ransacking and vandalizing members’ offices and the very chambers of the Senate and the House. Five people, including one Capitol Police officer, died as a result. The seeds for this violent assault were planted well before January 6. Senator Ted Cruz was among the loudest voices in the Senate calling for an overturning of the will of tens of millions of voters in November’s election in states like Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Georgia. Despite dozens of failed court challenges and no evidence of fraud whatsoever, Sen. Cruz repeatedly stated that the election results from states he doesn’t even represent were irregular and that they required further investigation. He continued to peddle these blatant lies for his own political gain, even going so far as to send out a fundraising message while the siege of the Capitol was underway. Sen. Cruz has blood on his hands. This was a political game where he put his future opportunity to run for president above the people of Texas. He has lost the right to represent Texans in the U.S. Senate. He has to resign immediately.

It is important for my son's case to be re-examined because the evidence shows that the police officer's life was never in any danger and he was acting upon impulse. I also believe that the District Attorney's decision to not charge this case is for political interest. There are so many unjustified police shootings that has taken place in the State of Georgia and the police officers are not being charged by the District Attorneys. There seems to be a culture within the police departments for the officers to use a specific reason of "fear for life" to justify their actions and this will free them of being held responsible for shooting and killing of our children. This type of culture needs to be examined by the United States Justice Department. In addition, there should be an independent audit of the District Attorney's office to examine the processing of evidence in police shooting cases.

Because Senator Roger Marshall CONTINUED to support setting aside Americans' presidential votes; because he CONTINUED supporting the lies that Donald Trump won the election and was cheated out of our presidency; because Roger Marshall is not so profoundly stupid as to believe the lies he supports, and could profess them solely for divisive political purposes: because Roger Marshall CONTINUES to support those lies even after personally experiencing the terroristic violence of the division they cause: Roger Marshall has demonstrated he is and will CONTINUE to be an enemy of America's unity and peace. He should be removed from the U.S. Senate.

On January 6, people watched in horror as violent white supremacist extremists stormed the Capitol building and temporarily forced the electoral college certification process to a halt. As awful as the day’s events were, it is clear that they were almost much worse. Many of the insurrectionists came with weapons, handcuffs, and zip ties - ready to take hostages or worse. Members of Congress and their staff were secured from the rioters with virtually no time to spare. This violent attempt to overturn November’s election result was rightfully shocking to the general public, but participants had made no secret of their plans. The FBI either failed to monitor what white supremacists and right wing extremists were openly plotting or were aware and chose not to act -- either is an unacceptable betrayal of its mission and failure of leadership. Biden must hold those responsible accountable. He must fire FBI Director Chris Wray on day one of his administration.

The rule of law. The 14th amendment says traitors should be punished and not hold office.

In light of the events surrounding the attempted takeover of the US capital and a parent coordination and support of the republican party, and specifically President Trump, the Trump enterprise should not profit off of Americans any longer.

The three above mentioned men do not represent freedom. They represent elements of tyranny with disenfranchisement, hate rhetoric, promoting distrust of our laws, twisting of the Constitution, and divisive words and actions.

Facebook is a key platform for the facilitation of violent white supremacy. In order to restrict the growth of more violence, Facebook needs to pause their role of bringing strangers together. By pausing groups and turning off sharing for 100 days, we can begin working to subdue the organized hate. Facebook is wealthy enough to afford the impact on ad revenue.

The words he used can only be construed as incendiary and the fervor with which they were stated were unmistakably treason when referring to his colleagues in Congress. That behavior was an abomination and for him to make such statements show him to be an embarrassment to the state of Alabama and the United States. We deserve better and we deserve someone who represents ALL, not a specific clique. Now that he has so eloquently shown himself, we must show him he has no place in our legislature.

Back in June, an OAN host suggested that “traitors" who "stole" the election should be executed. OAN spreads dangerous messages like these every single day, powered by the income from AT&T.  And court records show that not only does AT&T provide tens of millions of dollars in revenue for OAN, AT&T allegedly proposed the idea of a right-wing show for its satellite service, DirecTV, the only cable provider that gives OAN a platform to spread its dangerous messages. Even OAN lawyer Patrick Nellies acknowledged that if OAN loses or isn’t renewed by AT&T's DirecTV, the company would “go out of business tomorrow,” which shows just how much power AT&T has to stop OAN. And AT&T isn’t just giving a platform and singlehandedly bankrolling conspiracy theory network OAN, it also donated almost $300,000 to the Texas lawmakers who sponsored or co-sponsored the horrible abortion ban. Unfortunately, that’s not all. AT&T was also among the corporations that committed to stop donating PAC money to Republicans who voted to overturn the results of the 2020 election and fueled the insurrection, but it broke that commitment and has since donated thousands, hoping we wouldn't notice. AT&T is fueling attacks on our democracy by propping up and enabling white supremacy propaganda and conspiracy theory network OAN and by funneling PAC donations to insurrectionists. AT&T must drop OAN from DirecTV now.

The Trump family has explicitly threatened to use these funds to defeat Congressman who do not oppose the lawful election of the United States President through the Electoral College. These funds will be used to extort politicians and promote political violence for years to come.

We cannot continue to normalize white supremacy in this country. The display at the Capitol was nothing more than a stand for white supremacy. Neither seditious Amanda Chase nor treasonous David LaRock should ever be allowed to step foot in the Capitol of Virginia again. These elected officials either don't understand the concepts as set forth in the US or the Virginia Constitutions or they don't understand basic math that 81 million > 72 million and 306 > 232. Either scenario makes each unfit to serve as an elected official in Virginia.
