  • Adirondack Railroad: Lake Placid to Utica!
We have the rails. We have the natural beauty of our area. Unfortunately, we have few roads, and those that we do have can't be widened to accommodate more cars. Running the railroad from Lake Placid, through Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, to Utica, there to connect to Amtrak, would bring enormous benefits.

  • Put the Sports Arena in the Mt. Baker neighborhood!
I don't believe that the people behind the arena truly have the people or city's best interest at heart with their proposition to put yet another sports facility in the Sodo district. The decision that the people don't have a right to vote on whether or not to use public money for it really irks me when things like the seawall seem like lesser priorities that can be put at risk by a vote instead of the city saying "look this is critical, we need to use the money on this no matter what."

  • Save Schapelle Corby
Australian Schapelle Corby checked in 4 bags at Brisbane Airport which were underweight. The Qantas system flagged her bags as being 5kgs overweight at Sydney Airport whilst Schapelle was in transit (with no access to her baggage). In Indonesia, one bag was found to contain 4.2kg (9.3lbs) of marijuana. The CCTV footage of all 3 airports have disappeared. The marijuana evidence was destroyed without finger-printing or DNA testing for country of origin despite repeated requests of the Indonesian Police by Schapelle in the presence of Australian Consular Officials. Indonesia law requires the defense to prove innocence not the assumption of innocence with the prosecution having to prove their case like in the USA, UK and Australia. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) allegedly withheld evidence from the Corby Defence Team. Schapelle received a 20 year sentence, the same as Umar Patek the Bali bombmaker who killed 202 souls, 7 American, 88 Australian. Schapelle has been diagnosed with mental illness bordering on suicidal by eminent Australian & Indonesian Mental Health Experts. Anyone transiting through Sydney Airport on that day, could have been the one.

  • "Stop Supporting Rupert Murdoch"
The death of a child is devastating to parents and siblings in its own right. For Murdoch owned tabloids to profit by using a cell phone message that gave parents in England false hope that their daughter was still alive is immoral. Let us not continue to support someone who falsely claimed ignorance of the fact that this was accepted corporate culture.

  • Change the Format of our Presidential Debates
The current debate format doesn't allow for either candidate to fully explain the significance of their position. Under the current format the candidates only spend a few minutes at best on any particular topic. For those that are highly educated on the topic, this is usually plenty of time. But for those of us who might be some what ignorant about the subject, the current format only leads to more confusion, with each candidate trying give quick media soundbites. If each debate focused on one issue it would be harder for candidates to mislead and easier for citizens to make a truly educated vote.

  • Americans Need the Law Protecting Each Person from Unethically Behaved Individuals.
Americans Need the Law Protecting Each Person from Unethically Behaved Individuals. This Law should Consider the Following Situations: 1. Any Individual Has a Right to Ask Questions Related to the Business of the office/company where this person came as a customer; 2. No any employee of any business should have a right to call the Police in order to do not allow / prohibit the customer asking questions related to this particular business; 3. No any employee of any business should say to anyone anything offensive as, for example, I was said by one of the paramedics of Falmouth (John...), who was one of the employees of Maine's Emergency Ambulance team, who used completely inappropriate expression while talking with me in my apartment after I called the Ambulance (having lightheadness and very bad iron defficency)... 4. In case if the employee does not know how to answer the customer's question, the employee has to call the supervisor/manager, but not ask the customer to leave the office/store..

  • ZERO POINT ELECTRICAL GENERATION NOW
Zero Point electrical generation has been demonstrated by several physicists and electrical engineers including Nikola Tesla, Thomas Bearden and colleagues, and by Adam Douglas Trombley. The environmental movement has focused on solar, hydro, wind, ocean wave motion. Zero Point technology has been ignored, yet is exponentially more efficient than any other alternative.

  • Truth in Media
We the people deserve accurate media. Campaign ads that are outright Lies should not be allowed to air. Reporters need to call out obvious lies whenever they arise. There are too many bold lies told by Mitt Romney, his ads and the GOP. Lies are not news. Letting Lies go unchallenged hurts the integrity of any election.

  • Help Congressman Conyers continue the reparations fight
I am a descendent of American slaves and believe deeply that a grave injustice, an economic one, has yet to be addressed and rectified when it comes to the millions of American slaves who worked without compensation and their descendents who lived, and continue to live, without the economic assistance from their families they deserved. Congressman Conyers has introduced his H.R. 40 Bill (named in honor of the unfulfilled promise of 40 acres and a mule for freed slaves) every year since 1989 and vows to continue to do so until it is passed. Recently Republicans have gerrymandered his district so that he will face a tougher fight to win re-election.

  • US Representative Yoder, support the bill to cut taxes for middle class, not for upper class
Since the 70s, the upper 5%ers have done very well, while the middle and lower class have not. The Government and the middle/lower class do NOT have the resources to stimulate this economy.....the 5%ers do. Anyone earning over $250K a year can afford to take on about 3% more in taxes while allowing the middle class more money in their pockets from tax cuts before December 31, 2011 to buy the products of the upper class!! Sounds fair to both sides to me!
