Taiwanese-Americans are asking ALL Americans to help us in a situation where the US has a lot of influence: Taiwan's current President Ma Ing-jeou and his ruling Kuomintang Party ("KMT") have thrown the last democratically elected President Chen Shui-bian in prison on trumped up charges of corruption, which he is not able to adequately defend since his imprisonment. President Chen's health is rapidly deteriorating, as evidenced by the expert opinions of local and international medical teams who have seen him recently in his tiny jail cell, where he is NOT able to even sit in a chair, or have a bed, nor move about to exercise. This sets a dangerous precedent for future elections of presidents, in a fragile new democracy such as Taiwan, where direct Presidential elections were held only since 2000, when President Chen was elected. Under Human Rights laws, President Chen should be released immediately on medical grounds, and to prepare an adequate defense to the KMT accusations of corruption. The KMT has a long history of "white terror" and corruption on the island of Taiwan, since their military dictatorship of almost 40 years. Their current ill treatment of ex-President Chen (democratically elected in 2000, and re-elected in 2004) is in keeping with the KMT's long tradition of un-democratic behavior.

People who have been on probation are given the opportunity to have their criminal record expunged after they complete their probation term. Parolees of the California Department of Corrections can, after seven years, petition for a Governor's pardon, but cannot have their criminal record expunged. Governor Brown could sign legislation that would provide parolees who have completed their parole term without any violations and have proven exempliary citizenship for a 5-year period, to have their criminal record expunged.

Stop charities and political campaigns from relentless robo calls from "Unknown" numbers. When you contribute to many charities, they not only keep hounding people for more and more contributions, but sell your phone number to other charities. Political campaigns are even worse. One political party has called my home 2-3 times a day, 7 days a week for the past 8 years. I've filed 2 harassment complaints with the FCC, to no avail. I'm sick of screening phone calls from 8 am to 9 pm every day.

Letting corporations know that there are millions of Americans fed up with Companies outsourcing American jobs, and at the same time are sitting on 2 trillion dollars, failing to invest in American workers, and causing the economy to slump into a deep recession, near depression level. .

Created demand! Create jobs by allowing no interest/penalty withdrawal from 401Ks/IRAs so we can buy goods/services, thus force BIG business to hire more people using money they currently sit on. We buy goods/services, it creates the need for more jobs; those employed will buy goods/services; and so on. Big banks, it is our money and we want to use it - give it to us! Businesses, hire more people and they can help the economy too. Us, we can buy food and clothes, repair homes, buy cars, take vacations, go to a movie, etc. WIN WIN WIN!

It's time all churches be taxed. All should pay their fair share.

Flush the current disgrace in the US House, Senate, Executive Branch and Supreme Court

Article One, Section 8, states that congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Impost and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare, but all duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States...

The presidents's numbers on jobs are dishonest and meant to decieve. Demand that the WH give the actual number of people that are no longer looking, and those currently looking,for work, and add the two together. It's pretty simple.

The current long term commitment to send billions to Israel takes us further away from any semblance of playing an honest broker, and it rewards an intransigent Israeli regime that has devoted itself to settlement expansion and essentially has been a non-partner in peace-seeking. More, Israel habitually thumbs its nose at us and takes us for fools...boasting that we will ultimately agree or acquiesce to anything they do.

I am petitioning the Office of Personnel Management to redefine members of the House and Senate as contract workers or temporary employees ineligible for federal benefits. As such, members of Congress will no longer receive the healthcare, pensions, and other benefits of being a federal employee. On average they receive in excess of 20,000$ in tax free benefits per year in addition to their 174,000$ salaries. In addition, I am petitioning Speaker of the House and The Senate Majority Leader to introduce a bill reducing the 6 figure salaries of each member of Congress in the interests of reducing the federal budget deficit. The bill should clearly state that each member of Congress shall receive an annual salary set at the median income of their state or district. This salary will be pro-rated on a daily basis. Members traveling outside of their home districts or outside the city limits of Washington DC will forego salary for those days in which they are absent.

Scaling social security benefits to degree of need as relates to gross income (ie - you only have a claim for social security income as an inverse function of annual income).
