I miss walking by all the interesting and funny artworks in the tunnel every day, and now the tunnel is dull with Graffiti Prohibited signs spaced on the walls; it's depressing. They stopped the graffiti because maybe two individuals chose to go political, but there's no need to punish the entire student body.

I was stopped by CPD while residing in Carthage. The end result was I got tickets for improper registration and no insurance. I moved to Joplin before my court day and honestly had so much other stuff going on that I'd forgotten all about it, honestly. Well, I was stopped by JPD and got arrested. I spent a few days in Joplin city jail, then got transferred to Jasper county jail where I also spent a few days. When in Jasper county jail, the conditions were beyond horrible; and I mean for anyone. But I don't wish to share any names or specifics; however, there was an incident that I heard about where a young woman did not only attempt to, but she hung herself. She passed out; later came to in a puddle of blood, her chin cracked, her neck all messed up and bruised up horribly. Needless to say, she wanted nothing more than to die, with a whole beautiful life ahead of her. And that's what that place does to most people. All the disease and filth and hunger. No wonder people constantly go mad. Think about this. Our Jasper county jail is only teaching people to be lazy and to not take care of any responsibility at all but then they expect them to get out and just work and be responsible. That's just insane if you ask me.

Our neighborhood has become dangerous to walk through as people exceedingly drive over the speed limit on our roads. I can’t walk my baby in a stroller because many drivers speed and aren’t paying attention. We also have people who aren’t residents constantly cutting through the neighborhood. Since they don’t live here, they don't understand or respect the need for the safety of our children. Please help our neighborhood become safe!

The NY Post has engaged in racist & bigoted reporting that has victimized communities of color for decades! On April 11th, the New York Post published its front page with the Twin Towers in flames & Rep. Ilhan Omar’s comments taken out of context from a speech earlier this year. This coverage created national hysteria inciting death threats to Rep. Omar as well as fear among Muslim Americans. This kind of journalism is an attack on communities of color nationally and we cannot allow a paper to victimize our communities any longer! The Yemeni American Merchant Association (YAMA) has launched a #BoycottNYPost Campaign in April of 2019 that has led to 2,000 bodega's boycotting the sale of the newspaper as well as a coalition of 30 organizations mobilizing to spread awareness & demand the advertisers divest now!

The NESE Projects includes a new gas-powered gas Compressor Station (—the most polluting type—in Franklin near South Brunswick & Princeton- in an active blasting zone, in a wooded area, where there is very low water pressure and no functioning fire hydrants) and a 23-mile Pipeline Expansion underneath the Raritan Bay and Lower New York Harbor (the construction project will dredge up industrial toxins like arsenic, lead, zinc and mercury and organic compounds PCBs, DDT, and dioxins that have been buried under the seabed for decades.) If Governor Murphy and The NJDEPare serious about stopping the greenhouse gas pollution that’s driving us towards irreversible Climate Catastrophe, the choice is clear. We are well beyond the point where we can let the greed of the fossil fuel industry halt our transition to 100% clean renewable energy.

Naming the law after Trump will remind generations to come of Trump’s rampant corruption, and ensure the name Trump will forever be associated with criminality.

This petition is for Moms Demand Action extension from an African American who is has kids in the school system and marched for MarchforOurLives & Enough is Enough. We need radical change and reform with the political thought process of making teachers arm their classrooms with weapons. More can be done when a panic button is hit and perhaps a classroom is locked to trap the gunman or prevent the gunman from entering a classroom. Surveillance cameras should be installed to watch the hallways and swift manuerving from the local resource officer can happen. I hope that you find this a beneficial way for prevention of more school massacres in the future. A resource officer should always be present to greet the students period in all school levels.
